Please note: There are 5 steps in the garden, and neighbours’ right of way to access their garden.. Located in a quiet end of the Northern Lake District, with stunning open views of the surrounding fells, the only disturbances during your stay here may only be the gentle hustle of the dairy cows passing as they head to the farm for milking, and the background tune of birdsong.
Greenah View is an exceptionally well-appointed, semi-detached property dating back to 17th century. It has a large entrance hall, with a seating area and an adjacent bookcase full of local guides and walks to give you plenty of ideas for exploring during your stay. The living room is a perfect space to sit in front of the open fire after the day’s adventures, whilst the dual-aspect windows offer views to each side. A large kitchen/dining room has everything you need to prepare a hearty meal. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a feature four poster bed, and there are two other bedrooms and a family bathroom, along with a downstairs shower room. Outside, the immaculate garden, with planted borders and raised beds, has two seating areas. The more sheltered lower area suited for those early morning coffees, and the raised area for those long summer evenings sitting with a glass of wine whilst watching the sun set over the countryside.
Uldale sits in a corner of the Lake District, an area the locals call Back o’Skiddaw. The quieter Northern Fell Ranges rarely get crowded, even in the height of summer, whilst the numerous pretty villages, with tea rooms, galleries and stunning landscapes making it a perfect days touring, whether by car or cycling. Beach 16 miles. Shop 5½ miles, Tearoom 100 yards.

No heating no hot water poor internet
Issues throughout the week .. lovely cottage and situation but basic things not working …freezing cold when we arrived .. heating was off .. resolved that but then no WIFi. Owner knew about this but did not ore warn us ( this would gave helped us prepare) the owner ran out of LpG on Wednesday morning so no heating or hot water( we had to ask for logs etc to get fire going .. once LPG delivered the boiler still wouldn’t work. .. expectation we changed our plans to be in the house to get repairs or that we let strangers in unsupervised to do repairs.. no local is Agent to facility repairs .. no hot water since Wednesday and only 1 working electric shower for 4 adults ( cottage sleeps 6) Intermittent WiFi made planning hikes and bike toutes with weather very difficult and impossible to have safety contact with doing volunteer work with fix the Fells ( essential requirement) when out on hikes felt harassed by the owner who we understood wanted to fix the problem but the only solution she had was for us to cancel activities we had planned .. I stayed in one afternoon to wait for BT engineer who never turned up .
