Great Privacy

This cabin is definitely secluded and I enjoyed it. We did have a few insects but that’s to be expected with a cabin. I’ve stayed at about 15 different cabins in the past 20 years and this one was by far the most secluded and peaceful.

Everything was really nice the location was beautiful and everything was clean.

The location was great everything from the cabin was really close. That made it very nice because you still had the country side plus just a little drive to Gatlinburg, or pigeon forge. We both enjoyed the location of the hot tub. The property was very clean and homie.

Small and very remote. But cabin has some upkeep issues.

Cabin doesn’t have a working smoke detector. Pretty dusty and dirty. Toilet overflowed and dripped through ceiling to the downstairs. Noticed the wood by the toilet looked rotted so clearly has happened several times before. Cabin was not ready for us to check in until 5:30ish and we didn’t get the code to enter until 9:30 that night but we had to call earlier to get the code. Weird set up /design but manageable. Hot tub seemed ok. Overall ok but needs better cleaning, some fixes, working smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector, and better oversight/management.

Disappointed

The cabin itself was okay, but could have used a little TLC. There were candy wrappers on the floor that were missed from past guests. The vent downstairs was really rusted and the one upstairs wasn't the correct size. My socks were filthy from walking on the floor. There was no can opener, so we ended up opening a can with a knife. The GPS address they give you is not to the cabin, but to the road and then you're supposed to input the actual address. Unfortunately, Google Maps takes you in a circle. If not for Apple maps, I don't know if we ever would have found it, so some rudimentary directions might have helped. Our biggest complaint with this property is that under amenities, it clearly lists a shower in each bath. Not true. There is one shower, period. Upstairs is a loft, open to the floor below. Up there is a jacuzzi tub. Hilariously, they had a shampoo bottle sitting on the tub ledge. There's no tub faucet, so how you could possibly wash your hair is bewildering. Perhaps they wanted us to place our head beside one of the jets? This is my fourth cabin rental in the smokies, and I don't expect them to be perfect, but we were four adults who had to share one shower. Had we known that, we would have never booked this property. Having no shower upstairs basically renders the bedroom up there useless. And by the way, you could hear EVERYTHING that was going on anywhere else in the cabin. We ended up talking to the couple we traveled with through the vent because there was no privacy whatsoever.

Great Private Cabin!!

This cabin exceeded my expectations. It was perfect for the family. The hike to the river was a bit challenging for my kids, but we did it. The view of the river was worth the hike though. The trout fishing was perfect and were very delicious. Overall, my experience was great. I would definitely stay here longer but the kids have to go back to school.

Very secluded. Clean. Lacks amenities and hot tub needed help. Heard river but couldn't see as shown

Nice secluded cabin. Disappointed in hot tub. Cover was in disrepair which allowed for debris in water and also made it very difficult to remove. Picture and description of hike to river was deceiving as there was no evidence of a path to the river which was at bottom of mountain. Overall disappointed for cost.

So sorry you did not see the green "river path" sign on the way to your cabin. We are preserving over 700 feet of wild riverfront below the cabin. The cabin was built on the ridge for the amazing mountain views of the Great Dmoky Mountain National Park. I have gone down the mountain to the river but the trail is a much better way, especially coming back. It takes about 30 minutes either way, down or up, depending on your fitness levels. Many guests take a picnic and spend the day at the big river bend and enjoy the trout stream for swimming or fishing. We have ordered a new hot tub cover. That one has somehow gotten waterlogged even under our gazebo roof! Sorry it was difficult to remove. Also I will ask the hot tub maintenance crew to be more diligent netting out leaves that might fall in. I think with a new cover it will be easier for guests to replace it when not in use and that should be a big help. We are adjacent to over 1000 acres of wilderness plus our cabin is at the end of a little gravel road ensuring a peaceful getaway into nature. Thanks to your remarks, Ivam making a flyer to put on the refrigerator with Photo of river path sign and trail description. I have walked it so many times myself and taken my children down to play and for picnics when they were young. It is a cherished place and I am sorry you didn't find it. Of course our nature loving and hiking guests have over 800 miles of trails to explore with free admission to the Grest Smoky Mountains National Park. We live close by and I know most of the trails and am happy to suggest hikes. Just upstream from the cabin about 7 miles is the Greenbrier entrance to the park with one of my favorite hikes Ramsey Cascade, an & mile round trip challenging hike to a waterfall. Sitting on the big rocks below the falls and taking a dip after a hike in lunch. We continue to improve and wish you had called while here so we could have helped you find the trail and remove the leaves that had fallen into the hot tub. We make every effort to help our guests enjoy our beautiful mountains.
