A large impressive Georgian Grade 2 listed former Gentleman's Residence with 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms located in Gosport, Hampshire. The 7 bedrooms offer a mixture of superior quality double beds, single beds, bunk beds and fold out bed chairs, to accommodate up to 20 guests, if required.
The 7 bathrooms all have quality fitted showers and one of the en-suites is also fitted with a large ‘P' bath shaped with all towelling provided.
The kitchen comes fitted with all essential mod cons and is fully equipped for self-catering with a large range style gas cooker, a dishwasher and a large separate fridge and freezer. The adjacent utility room houses the washing machine and an additional sink. A separate breakfast room is also located off the kitchen and can seat up to 8.
The dining room can accommodate up to 18 seated guests and has large original wooden Georgian doors opening into the lounge which has 3 large leather sofas with additional seating on pouffes centred around an original marble fireplace.
The basement has been converted to create a good sized games room to accommodate a pool table and a bar football table to keep young and old ‘kids' amused for hours, a good distance away from living rooms and bedrooms, to not disturb those looking for peace and quiet.
Finally there are the gardens, the front laid with a small lawn and parking for up to 5 vehicles and the rear garden has a large lawn and a paved area with garden furniture and gas BBQ. There is the possibility of hiring in a Hot Tub, if desired (Conditions apply – please contact us for further details).
The front drive is also shared with it's sister property ‘The Coach House‘ which is another 4 bedroom detached holiday cottage sleeping up to 10 guests with parking for up to 4 additional cars. Both properties can be rented together to accommodate up to 30 guests with parking for up to 9 cars. Additional on-road, unrestricted parking is also available to the front and side.
All bedding and towelling is provided, with a mid term maid cleaning service available on request. Additional linen is available at £25 per set to include 1 medium bath towel. Child cots, highchairs and stairgates are also available at no extra cost. (Guests are requested to bring their own child's bedding please)
We warmly welcome up to 3 small to medium sized well behaved four legged friends at Bury Villa at an additional cost of £25 each per dog, per week/part week. (However, to be fair to our neighbours no continuous barkers please).
In addition to the rental cost we ask our guests for a security deposit, pre-authorised against your credit card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterwards if there is no damage.
Our advertised prices are calculated on the number of people requested and may go up or down if amended.
Some of our properties have age restrictions, such as where we feel it would not be suitable for younger all adult groups, such as within quiet residential areas where noise may be an issue.

Great size for a family group. Plenty of sleeping options and bathrooms. Well equipped kitchen, fabulous BBQ, plenty of crockery and a fabulous garden with a patio with seating for everyone.
Wow the house had everything you could possibly want which was brilliant, stair gates, highchairs, travel cots, garden was great for the dogs completely closed in, lovely warm house, children loved the games room they called it their secret room and spent hours in there.
A family break away to celebrate birthdays. A great house for all ages with 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. Lovely new kitchen and enclosed rear garden. Great for dog! Lovely and clean and very warm on the cold winder days.
We rented the property as a base for 7 adults whilst working on an engineering project Fareham. The property is brilliant and very reasonably priced for such a large property. We really enjoyed our stay here. Ken was a brilliant and very attentive property manager. Would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arose.

Property was fine. However , I could never see my booking on vrbo so find it ironic that they have asked me for a review
Excellent - had everything we needed - games room for the younger age element and a relaxing living/dining area for the adults. Outdoor area - stunning and spacious -though due to the time of year we were unable to make full use of it. Large bedrooms which were very clean - all with ensuite. Large well equipped kitchen which was needed given how many there were of us. The hot tub - though not excessively used did help to keep the youngsters amused on a couple of occasions. There was also adequate parking.
We had a wonderful stay at Bury Villa in Gosport! The house looked even grander in person than in the pictures, and there were some lovely touches on check in that really showed care - dining table already laid out beautifully, folded towels on the beds like swans, that sort of thing! Everyone in our group slept very well and had no complaints about anything. The beds and living areas were all very clean and comfortable; kitchen was spotless and extremely well appointed for a large group. The fact that there is a bathroom/toilet for every bedroom was excellent too. We were very happy with everything! We had no issues with the stay, communication, and service on the run up to our stay was great and helpful, the team could answer any question very quickly, the handover/check in process was conducted in person and helpful. One thing to be aware of is the size of house and number of bathrooms - if everyone staying wants to shower in morning or at night that's a lot of hot water demand so I would suggest if staying here to put the heating on well ahead of when needed and to plan ahead and stagger when guests are using baths & showers so that they are all nice and hot for everyone. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!
My partner and I booked Bury Villa for a gathering of our friends usually scattered across the country and it was the perfect place to reconnect. The photos don't do it justice - it must have been refurbished since they were taken (for instance there are beautiful new carpets). We were glad that our friends' dog was welcome for a small extra charge, and the optional hot tub was a great addition and came with very clear instructions. The kitchen is well equipped. I brought some kitchen bits and pieces from home but didn't need them. An unforgettable weekend all in all - thank you.
This House was ideal for my Wife's 70th birthday last weekend, all eighteen of our family agreed and it was a great success with everyone, however, The owner does need to improve the general condition of the decoration and some fittings, they have spent a fortune on a lovely new kitchen recently so they are seriously investing in the house, it would take a very small, by comparison, investment to put Bury Villa in TOP decorative order, which it needs in places, before the negative reviews start to be seen, but a really lovely and ideally placed property, and, will be considering it for my Wife's 80th for sure...

Dear Bob, thank you for your kind feedback, which is really appreciated and I'm glad you and your guests had a great time. As you say the landlord is considerably investing in the house, with the newly fitted kitchen and the redecoration of most of the bedrooms and is working his way down through the house. Unfortunately this does highlight some of the areas where he has yet attended to but it is his intention to keep going.

Great house for a family party group
We enjoyed our stay, the house was in a great position to walk to the ferry to see the Naval Museum. The garden and BBQ were really nice. However the house is looking very tired and needs some maintenance doing on it, beds without a mattress protector, dirty and broken loo seat, a cistern on a loo that ran all the time. Pillows that were very grubby without pillow protectors on them. A broken electric whisk, badly chipped paintwork, etc. However the lady I spoke to when we needed to sort out the fact that none of the baking trays fitted the oven (all too big!) was very helpful. I think the owners have not gone round and checked the property, looking at it as customer . The house has lots of potential but needs some love!
Very well equipped, especially the excellent kitchen, but some of the fixtures and fittings were getting a little tired. The outside space was really good.
Cooker needs dials not clear, timer/pre-set buttons not working.
Parking: Shared drive !!!!!
Information pack needs upgrading.
Garden: Tidy but could be very impressive.
Huge house with an en-suite makes this place good for big group get together except that it’s within residential place (next door neighbour already told us to kept quiet at 8:30pm😞)A good walk to the beach,20minutes from the house.Over all,we had a great time together. Thank you 😊
