The interior spaces of Silver Shells St. Maarten 1404 have been tastefully decorated with a trendy beach theme. An open floor plan gives the whole family or group space to relax together. The living area is beach-facing, features floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors, and offers plenty of space to gather around the flat-screen TV. The couch even converts to a queen sleeper sofa for larger parties. The spacious beach-facing balcony is perfectly furnished to allow for entertaining or dining while taking in spectacular views of the white sand beach and emerald waters. The dining area has seating for five with four additional seats at the breakfast bar. The fully equipped kitchen includes full-size stainless steel appliances and all the cookware and dishware you could need for creating memorable meals. A laundry area is centrally located in the condo with a full-size washer and dryer.

The master bedroom has incredible beach views and private access to the beach-facing balcony. Complete with a king bed, flat-screen TV, and private ensuite bathroom, the master bedroom was designed with relaxation in mind. The master bathroom features a luxurious jacuzzi tub, walk-in shower, and double vanity. Both guest bedrooms face the north side of the resort and offer unbeatable views of the resort grounds. The first guest bedroom has a king bed, a flat-screen TV, and private access to the north balcony. The second guest bedroom has two twin beds with twin trundle beds, a flat-screen TV, and private access to the north balcony. The second guest bedroom has a private bathroom with a tub/shower combination. Just steps from both the first guest bedroom and the living area is a full bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Great place and location

Check-in and Check-out were a breeze! It's right on the beach, close to great restaurants, and traffic in Destin wasn't all that bad. We've been coming to Destin since '87, and September and October are the months to avoid all the traffic and waiting in lines for dinner. Silver Sheels is a great place to stay!

Property maintenance very responsive but HOA doesn’t require owners to notify of renovations. So people above jackhammering floors all day. Just happened to be raining soo we hear it. Then we lost all water usage several times during stay. Pump kept blowing. They were responsive but a lot of money to spend for that kind of inconvenience. Especially on “leaving day”. No shower or toilets working for a while. Girls trip… motto was “make the best of it”. In all fairness to the owner of the unit… you should ensure your getting your moneys worth and revisit the HOA rules. Pretty confident you wouldn’t have rented these days if you knew your neighbor upstairs was going to renovate all day.

The property was just as pictured on the web site. Everything was hospital clean, everthing in perfect working order. The view was post card perfect. The beds were as comfortable as I have slept in outside my home. My only concern was that a large amount of moss washed into the beach first night, still there 7 days later. Other resort areas I have visited had a tractor clean it up.

We love Silver Shells

There were some maintenance issues we felt should have been up to par for the amount and caliber of Silver Shells, but the view is beautiful! The condo was ok as far as decor. Not the best, but not the worst. Otherwise, we have no complaints.

The property is beautiful and well maintained. The condo was just as beautiful as the pictures on the internet. The only problems I had was the dining table was missing a chair and I asked for one several times and never received one. I had 7 people staying and had 8 more that was coming for dinner several nights. The sitting is not good for a large party. The living room only has a couch and one chair. I only got to sit in there twice the whole week but both were very comfortable. One of the bed post was broken off in the guest room and it didn’t get repaired either. Wasn’t a big deal. Just surprised they didn’t repair it. Over all the stay was great and would rent property again.

Beautiful beach and properties. Fantastic view. Nice local and chain restaurants near by. The condo needs much paint work, seating in the living room is good for 4 people. Not adequate for relaxing comfortably for more than 3. Carpet coming loose and exposing the floor beneath and is desparate for a cleaning. KItchen is equiped with Wal-mart utensils and sparingly. Also beware of extra charge from VRBO on booking fees over the rental price advertised.

This condo was fantastic!!! We had assigned parking and plenty of room for our 5 adults, 2 teens and one baby!! What a fantastic place to stay! I would book this condo again! My only concern is that it isn't very child friendly. Beautiful furniture but all highly breakable. Not an issue if you are just adults or older kiddos but a crawling little one was a bit of a handful to watch in this room. Otherwise FANTASTIC LOCATION for a beautiful family vacation!!! :)

The perfect family condo!

The condo was amazing!!! Right on the beach and just an easy elevator ride down to the pool and the beach. The view from the balcony was beautiful and the inside of the condo was spacious and beautifully decorated. Beds were all super comfortable and there was plenty of closet space in each bedroom. Bathrooms were perfect and had plenty of room if sharing. We had all the necessities needed in the kitchen and it really just felt like home! We would definitely come back and stay here again!!
