Extremely well equipped cottage, with very friendly hosts who provided a generous welcome pack to get started. Next door to the newly re-opened village pub which is well patronised but not rowdy - even with the football final showing! - so handy for a drink or a meal. All in all, a great place for a short break.

The hosts are exceptional with so many thoughtful touches. Dishwasher tables, washing pods, washing up liquids in the kitchen and toiletry products in the bathroom enhanced our stay. The cottage is in a great location for local walks and we exploredlocal castles and waterfalls.

An absolutely lovely cottage, slap in the middle of stunning countryside and village life, with a welcoming pub & restaurant just metres away. We stayed for a two night weekend but wish we'd booked a whole week. The cottage had everything we needed. One nice touch was that the lights and fire were already one we arrived at 9pm in the dark after a long drive, which was really welcoming. Love Grassgarth Cottage, and we will be booking it again.

Had a great weekend staying at this cottage, the only downside was the smell coming from the kitchen, we were advised by the owner they had just replaced a part on the boiler which was giving off a smell the only way to describe it was a petrol smell. This left my daughter struggling to breathe as she has asthma and we all had bad head from the smell. But overall the cottage was lovely and would definitely recommend it.

We had such a lovely last minute break at Grassgarth Cottage.
We had such a lovely last minute break at Grassgarth Cottage.
The house was so cosy and warm, clean and really nicely renovated.
We found everything we could possibly need and then some extra things, they have honestly thought of everything!
There's plenty to visit locally. We went to the Wensleydale Creamery, had a walk to Castle Bolton and visited Aysgarth Falls, taking in Leyburn on the way home.
We would choose to stay here again.

We were lucky enough to be the first guests to stay at Grassgarth Cottage.
We were lucky enough to be the first guests to stay at Grassgarth Cottage. It is absolutely wonderful with the most amazing attention to detail and thoughtfulness from the owners Sue and Phil. There was a lovely welcome pack including treats for my 3 girls, myself and my dog. The cottage was warm, cosy and furnished very comfortably to a very high standard. It was very well equipped throughout - everything had been thought of and made the stay that much more pleasant. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. I can't recommend Grassgarth Cottage highly enough. It was a pleasure to stay there and I look forward to many future stays.
