Beautiful Farmhouse in Dordogne Valley, large private Heated Pool, amazing views
Le Bousquet is located in the village of Lostanges, where the sun shines warm through the summer months. Sympathetically restored but retaining its original charm, Le Bousquet has modern conveniences, a beautiful 10x4 meter heated salt water swimming pool, large elevated deck, marvellous views and privacy. There are no near neighbours, yet it is not isolated. All of the three spacious bedrooms have en-suite facilities and all linen and towels, including pool towels, are provided.
Le Bousquet can also be configured as a 6 bedroom (#11622917) or 2 bedroom (#11555972} property with associated pricing adjustments. Discounts are also available for 1 bedroom occupancy.
On the ground floor, there is a dining area with seating for 8 and a spacious fitted kitchen with kitchen island and breakfast bar, a 5 burner induction hob & two ovens, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, kettle & toaster. There is plenty of crockery, cutlery and utensils for your use, with cooking items including pans, baking equipment & casseroles. There is even a selection of French cookery books for inspiration.
There is a large comfortable lounge with sofas, a woodburner and HD LED SMART TV with English Freeview TV channels via satellite and french tnt channels, and a DVD player.
From the kitchen and dining area there are doors leading out to a south-facing raised terrace with dining table and seating overlooking the pool and garden with far reaching views of the surrounding countryside.
On the lower ground floor, is the spacious and cool open-plan downstairs lounge and family room with sofas for relaxing.. There is also a toilet easily accessible from the swimming pool.
There is a summer kitchenette to complement the outside side terrace and allow you to prepare your al fresco meals complete with an electric hob, combination microwave oven, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. There is a games area with a games table and a selection of exercise equipment including exercise cycle, rowing machine and weights. There is also a toilet easily accessible from the pool and covered seating area under the raised deck.
The cinema room has a 65” UHD LED SMART TV with English Freeview TV channels via satellite and french tnt channels, together with a DVD player and surround sound system. There is comfortable seating for 8 on three generous sofas. There are a large selection of DVD’s, books & games, an internet radio providing access to worldwide stations and music systems with an iPod dock and blue tooth interface. Free wi-fi high-speed internet is available throughout the property and grounds.
The master bedroom suite is on the lower ground floor with French doors overlooking the pool and has a king-size bed, sofa, walk thru wardrobe and en-suite shower room.
Bedroom 2 is on the ground floor and has a king-size double bed, a further single bed, walk-in wardrobe, hairdryer, en-suite bathroom with bath, shower enclosure, toilet & wash basin.
Bedroom 3, also on the ground floor, and has a zip-link superking-size double bed that can also be configured as 2 singles, a further single bed, a walk-in wardrobe, hairdryer, en-suite bathroom with shower enclosure, toilet & double wash basins. The bedroom has direct access to its own private deck with coffee table and seating at the front of the property.

Two travel cots are available on request, together with 2 high-chairs and a baby bath. A washing machine, tumble dryer, washer/dryer, clothes airers, rotary line, iron and ironing board are also provided.
Outside there is a fully enclosed garden with stunning salt-water pool (available for bookings from the end of April to the end of September and heated from the end of May to mid-September), south facing raised terrace with dining table for ten. Under the deck is a covered seating area with outside furniture, coffee table and a gas BBQ. At the side of the house is a west facing patio with dining table seating 8 and access to the kitchenette. Parasols and sun loungers are also provided. There is ample parking for three cars on the drive.
Le Bousquet is located midway between the two historic market towns of Beaulieu sur Dordogne and Meyssac. Both towns offer lots of choices for shopping as well as having market days where the best of local produce is for sale. Brive la Gaillarde is located 25kms away and has an airport with service to London and Paris. Car hire is available at the airport and it is advised to book this in advance. Train service to Brive is direct from Paris Austerlitz with car hire available at the station.
Kayaking on the Dordogne river, cycling, visits to the pre-historic caves of Pech Merle or Lascaux, medieval towns of Collonges la Rouge, Turenne and Curemonte, Chateau of Castelnau are just a few of the activities to discover in this beautiful region.
We are a pet-friendly and non smoking property and bookings are available on a weekly basis only with a Saturday changeover.. The property has external security cameras which are used when the cottage is unoccupied. There is a camera to the rear of the property but this is turned away and not used during the season.
