Summary:
Spacious, modern and radiant with natural light- surrounded by greenery but situated just minutes from downtown Durham and Duke's East campus; Close to everything great that Durham has to offer! The 2018 home offers a streamlined, elegant style with striking granite counters, stainless steel appliances, and a hardwood farmhouse dining table that beckons you to gather. In the evening spill onto the front porch with vaulted ceilings and up-lighting. Fenced in backyard for yard games!

The Space:
Spacious and stylized open floorplan living room provides a central gathering space for friends and family. En Suite King Bedroom has French doors to Granite Double Vanity and Spa-Like River Rock Shower. Child-friendly Master2 has Full Tub, Changing Table and Gorgeous Granite Slab Vanity. Hall bath for two additional queen bedrooms features riverstone flooring in shower, glass enclosure, granite counter. We use Free & Clear Unscented laundry detergent on bedding and towels so our guests with sensitivities to perfumed products can breath easy.

Guest Access:
The front door has a keypad so you can arrive when convenient and come and go as you please.

The Neighborhood:
Situated on the edge of Old North Durham, our home offers proximity to downtown in an urban, income diverse residential area. The house is 7/10ths of a mile from the DIY District including The Pit, Motorco, Geer St Garden, Fullsteam Brewery and Cocoa Cinnamon. It's also an easy trip to Duke, RTP, the downtown Farmer's Market, & many local (and delicious) restaurants/cafes & local bars/breweries. Our home next door on Geer also serves as a Vacation Rental with a gate connecting the two yards, "*Bull Durham* Spacious & Walkable w/Front Sitting Porch and Backyard"

Getting Around:
The house is very easy to access and is a short drive to downtown, NC147, I85 and Durham's main thoroughfares. If you're taking a bus, there are many bus lines that should easily drop you off very close to our house. Lyfts and Ubers are abundant in the area as well.

Other Things to Note:
We have a Smart TV with access to Netflix, your Amazon or Hulu account, and many other apps. We Cut the Cord on Cable, but offer YouTubeTV which functions similar to Cable and offers tons of Live or On Demand Options!

Interaction with Guests:
We want you to be able to settle into this home as if it was your own. We'll stay out of your way, but we're just a quick message away if you have questions about restaurants, events or the house, or if an unexpected issue arises.

We are happy to answer questions that you may have! Whether it's a hankering for a local cider, a sudden urge for a new haircut or a desperate need for a donut, we are happy to help you find the closest and best place to make that happen.

Great location and super clean!

We had a great stay in Durham at this property. We were in town for 3 nights for an event at DPAC and this location was great! both driving and Bering was easy from this spot, it's relatively private and was supplied with everything we needed for our stay.

Great stay!

We really enjoyed our time at this cute little house. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was even coffee readily available. This is a clearly experienced host who knows the basics people are looking for. We had our two littles with us so no stairs inside was a plus! We would stay here again :)

Duke Graduation event

This property was perfect to be close by downtown but in a neighborhood. It’s easy to get about town from this location. The kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms are well appointed and very clean. I would definitely recommend.

Super clean and spacious home

Sister weekend for Dpac-loved the fact that two of the bedrooms had an en-suite bathroom. The home is decorated nicely and everything was spotless. Durham is going through an aggressive transformation/regentrification stage and this home is located in a transforming area with a mix of old and new. Can’t wait to see this area in a few years. We would stay here again

The perfect place

we loved everything about this house. super welcoming, super comfortable, charming, spotless, and the location was perfect for us. Less than 5 minute drive to downtown! loved it so much we’re thinking about coming back to stay again and just explore the area. can’t recommend strongly enough.

Amazing Stay! Best Way to Experience Durham

Our stay was amazing, hands down! This property was centrally located, which made traversing the city and other areas a breeze. We were close to downtown Durham, where we spent a lot of time. The property was very clean, well provisioned, and set up for our family's vacation. Everyone had their own space, which we all appreciated! We definitely recommend this property for anyone looking to experience Durham.

Great Stay!

We were in town to meet our new Grandbaby. The house was very comfortable for 5 adults. It was equipped with everything we needed, including little things like coffee, coffee filters, dishwasher detergent, etc. It was a rainy weekend, but we enjoyed some outside time on the covered front porch.

An understated gem in a thriving and growing Durham

The restoration work on this property was a jpy to behold. The layout on the inside works from a common lodge-like middle area, with four bedrooms ringing the middle. It is at the same time a great gathering place and a place for private relaxation. My sisters occupied this property during the trip and could not have been more happy. Host Dylan went above and beyond to help during the trip. Highly recommended!

Few days in Durham

We came into town for a major surgery at Duke University Hospital for our 19 yr old son that is battling cancer. The house was a great location for our family to travel back and forth to be with him and have a place to rest. The area was nice. We hope to be able to visit again when we can enjoy more. Thank you!

Perfect for big groups

We stayed at this property for a guys trip. There were 5 of us and this was perfect. 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. Can’t beat it. Close to downtown (about a $6 Uber) we also went to the UNC game in Chapel Hill (20 mins) so the location was great. Would definitely stay again!!!

Medical procedure

You will not be disappointed in staying here. One worry we had upon arrival was the busy street the house was on, but the traffic tapered off around 7 and it was pretty quiet. The house was clean and spacious with all the amenities of home! The pictures matched the house exactly! If our next Tri to Durham results in an extended stay we will stay here! Thank you so much for opening your home to us!

Lovely home, fabulous hosts,great quality inside with all necessities. Cleaning, bathroom, kitchen staples which was unexpected but appreciated. The area where this home is located I believe is a poorer area that that is starting to be gentrified into a much more appreciated space. Felt safe and cozy inside the home. Businesses around close a bit sketchy. Absolutely would stay again because you are near a lot of things and the home was exceptional.

Ideal Visit with Adult Children

This was the most comfortable vacation rental we have ever stayed in. I was sold as soon as I saw that they use Free & Clear unscented laundry detergent, but the hosts went above and beyond to accommodate my request for fragrance free cleaning and not using air fresheners before our arrival. The air quality in the home was fantastic! The kitchen was well stocked with bakeware, utensils and dishes. We shared the space with our two grown sons and their partners. It was a perfect place to sit around the table, talking over meals and long into the night. We visited with a lot of relatives while in Durham, and appreciated the central location.
