A great appartment just near the center of Florence
We rented the appartment for two families of 5 and it was perfect for the 10 of us. Every room was clean and had a lot of space. The air conditioning was really appreciated in this hot weather.
We could enjoy the terrace to have lunch I. The shades.
Edoardo and Viola were really nice and helpful
Everything went perfectly.
This place had great space for the group of friends to sleep, get ready and quick access to and from the train. When trying to time your check in give yourself a little extra time before saying you can be there so you account for slightly delayed train, getting cash for adventures and new town navigation to location. This way you aren’t rushing from the train station to meet the check in person. The apt is out of the tourist trap spots but super easy walk to them. Food is just about 2 blocks away and the back patio is great to sit on at night. We loved our two nights in Florence and this place added to the fun!
Early communication with the host was very good. I think this apartment is owned by a realty company and I got messages from two different people, one who eventually let us into apartment and gave us instructions. All the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable but the kitchen fan needs some attention. The nice private terrace was NOT as pictured. The table, swing and wash machine were there but no chairs to sit on around the table. We had 2 broken chairs, cigarette butts in broken flower pots which our toddler found, a broken broom and dust pan and glass on the ground, so that was disappointing. If you plan to visit during the hot summer months, there are air conditioners in all bedrooms, but know that you will be resetting the circuit breaker often if you use all of them at the same time. The kitchen could use some updating on general items such as basic dry goods and dish soaps, we ran out and had to buy our own. Only one drying kitchen towel supplied for the week, no dish towel which is not enough when you have a large group. Plenty of bath towels, nice large size, beds were comfortable. Only 10 minute walk from the main train station, 15 minutes to the city entrance of Florence. The only other thing was we overpaid for the required city tax which is collected upon your arrival and I got no response when asked for a refund of overage. I did message host with recommendations, so hopefully improved for future guests. Overall still a good place to stay.
I have never encountered this level of incompetence and deception before, and I hope I never do again. No furniture in the lounge. Camp beds in the bedrooms. No kettle.
1 out of 3 showers was ok, the other 2 had dysfunctional problems. The power supply shorts out every 20 minutes if you are running air conditioning. The hosts are not helpful.
Amazingly they had a toaster, but if you use it, the power trips.
All 7 members of our family were left without a sufficient amount of sleep due to power cutting out (summer/ air conditioning/ too hot) and the phones did not charge over night due to power cutting out
