Heavenly Waters Hawaii is a tranquil oceanside tropical retreat in Puako, perfect for your next family vacation. This spacious three building estate includes a large oceanfront cliffside pool and hot tub to enjoy memorable Hawaiian sunsets. It is ideally situated on the Big Island's renowned Kohala Coast.

Families come back to our home year after year to refresh and rejuvenate at our unique property. We have created a respite, a sanctuary, a healthy home of peace and tranquility away from everyday stress and distractions.

Heavenly Waters Hawaii is equipped with three separate buildings - allowing for time together or apart. The shared pavilion living room and kitchen is a comfortable area to congregate over meals and enjoy the sunset. Two 2-bedroom buildings flank either side of the pavilion - each sleeping four guests on king and queen size beds. The spacious buildings each have their own restroom and private entrances.

Sliding doors off the pavilion open to an outdoor cliffside dining area adjacent to the large infinity pool and hot tub. Here you will spend your days relaxing in the hammock, enjoying two outdoor showers, grilling on the BBQ, listening to the outdoor sound system and watching the sunset from the hot tub. Watch in awe at our 180° ocean view location as the humpbacks breach and play during whale season November through May. Massage therapists can be hired to come onsite to use our private massage table as well.

Guests enjoy Heavenly Water Hawaii’s ideal oceanfront location in Puako. Impressive snorkeling and surfing is walkable from our home at the highly regarded Beach 69, only 300 feet down a well maintained path. Plus, spacious Hapuna Beach is only a mile away and is ranked one of the best beaches in the country. The town of Puako is one of Hawaii's best kept secrets, known for it's crystal clear blue waters with amazing snorkeling and diving conditions. The old town feel remains while only minutes from world-class golf, restaurants and beaches.

This unique beachfront home is a very special property to us, where friends and 'ohana have gathered for years to relax, recharge and celebrate. There is a living, breathing legacy in the home with a long 40 year history of our family visiting the Big Island and appreciating the nearby healing powers. The home has been constantly improved with new furniture and personal touches. We are delighted at the opportunity to open our home to others and invite you to create long-lasting memories with each other at our slice of paradise.

We have everything taken care of when you arrive to immediately start relaxing! Gear includes: snorkels, boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers, and beach towels. Our home is equipped for families with a high chair, pack-n-play, toys and more when you arrive. We are a fully accessible home with no steps, a roll-in shower with handheld showerhead and is wheelchair accessible. Lastly, our guidebook has all our insider tips of nearby restaurants, beaches and activities - get ready to have fun!

Heavenly Waters is cooled by the natural winds off the nearby ocean and does not have air conditioning. If cooling is needed, each room has ceiling fans above each bed, individual portable fans and a large screen door off the living room. We have intentionally chosen to not have a television onsite, however we offer great WIFI to enjoy your creature comforts on your laptop or phone. Sorry - no weddings or events allowed.

Another Great Stay

This is our second time staying here, it is always a great experience. If you want a truly relaxing trip this is the place for you. Everything was perfect from the moment we checked in until we left. The host does all the extras to make this an amazing place to stay. We will be back again, our favorite place on the island.

This place has it all: privacy, views, infinity pool, Jacuzzi, beach access, and a great host. We spent ten days there and had to force ourselves to leave occasionally.

Wonderful Big Island Stay

This home was an amazing retreat for our big island stay. It has absolutely everything you need from kitchen basics, to beach toys, to multiple outdoor grills. The view is incredible and you’re a very short walk one of the most beautiful beaches on the Kona side of the island. I couldn’t recommend the home more highly.

Heavenly Waters is, well, heavenly. It is pristine, well stocked with water toys for the pool and the beach. It is impeccably clean. The property manager, Tiffani, was so helpful and gracious. My family had a perfect “once in a lifetime, dream vacation” (in the words of my 12 year old nephew).

This property is amazing. The location, the view, the house are unique. On the water, 50 ft up a cliff opens up a wonderful view of the ocean. Whale viewing was almost constant during our stay. House is very well built, great wood work and structure. Is prbly ready for new kitchen cabs and appliances but not a big deal. Great, wonderful, peaceful place and Tiffani was great as well.

Worth every penny!

Our family absolutely LOVED this house! The private pool, the ocean view, the space… we wanted to see as much of the island as possible but truly didn’t want to leave the property. There was plenty of room for all 9 of us and we were greatly impressed with how well furnished the house was - more than enough bath towels, beach towels, soaps, pool/beach toys, kitchenware, dishes…. Best rental to date! When we arrived there were even local goodies, fresh fruit, and a bag of the most delicious coffee! Tiffani was absolutely wonderful to work with and was not only quick to answer any questions, she even sent video directions for how to get to the house. We would without a doubt love to stay here again!

Wonderful Experience

Staying at this property has been great from start to finish. The host has been wonderful starting with check in, Tiffani was very accommodating with lots of little extras around the home. The house is very well furnished and had everything we needed. We fixed a few evening meals and ate by the pool and enjoyed the incredible views, it doesn’t get much better than this. We found ourselves not wanting to leave, there were six whales in a group out front just today that we watched for quite awhile. If you want a relaxing get away with the perfect surroundings this is the place. We have stayed in Hawaii many times and this is far and away the best so far. Great accommodations, incredible views and a very attentive host. It doesn’t get any better than this.

Everything about this beautiful home is as advertised and it was just perfect! We spent a week here with our two adult sons and their loves and everyone loved it. We all had ample space to spread out, relax, have time together, and time to ourselves. We cooked lots of meals and the kitchen has everything we needed. The rest of the house leaves out no detail - dishes, towels, pool toys, umbrellas for shade, comfortable beds and pillows, all bathrooms stocked with supplies, an ice machine, great washer and dryer, a big speaker for music, beach chairs, etc. etc. The grounds are well maintained, the house is very clean, it's safe, private, and easy access to shops and stores. Tiffani was responsive and helpful with some of our planning and made getting there easy. We loved the large pool and hot tub, access to the beach, the views and sunsets are just incredible. We will definitely be back to this beloved home!

Pure Paradise

The property has fabulous views, is a short walk from a beautiful beach, is well equipped, well cared for and we were so lucky to find it. At the end of our vacation, on a beach about 10 miles away, I had an accident leading to an operation and a hospital stay. The manager, Derrick, was so so kind and let my family stay on another day even though it involved him in some inconvenience. This is a wonderful house with a wonderful manager.

Wonderful stay in a gorgeous property!

We just left this amazing property and miss it already. The house was well equipped for our needs and the pool was phenomenal (thanks, Michael!). Derrick did a great job keeping us informed and taking care of our needs. In regards to the bumpy drive to the property, we were glad to have rented a four wheel drive. August is a warm month, so we found ourselves jumping in the pool during the days. We liked the location as there were no neighbors, and restaurants/shopping was only about 15 minutes away. We highly recommend this property - you won't be disappointed!

The most beautiful panoramic views of the deep blue ocean for sunsets and surf watching. Tropical breezes flow through every room so don’t be deterred by lack of a/c. Short walk to beach for amazing snorkeling while the beautiful vanishing edge pool and jacuzzi were enjoyed by all. The toddler friendly end is great for our baby. Everything we needed for a great family vacation was here and we found it hard to leave. Take it slow down the road and you’ll find paradise!

Almost Perfect Hideaway

There are many, many positive, wonderful aspects to staying at this property. Our family had a fantastic time. In addition to the property being so gorgeous, it’s close enough to most of the activities that we needed to do. There are mainly 3 negatives, which is why I only give it 4 stars instead of 5. 1-The dirt road into the property needs a major grading for a regular car to navigate it to get in & out of the property easily. If you have a Jeep, you'll be fine. But we had a minivan, and it was quite challenging to keep from bottoming out or hitting boulders on the bottom of the vehicle. We finally learned to navigate the nooks & crannies, but it was quite difficult at night. The 2nd negative is that it is located right next to a public beach, with folks parking right beside or in front of the property fence, which left us uneasy at times, given the nature of some of the folks. The 3rd negative was locking up the house. It was quite problematic & time consuming to lock it/unlock it every time we wanted to leave as well. Since there are 3 buildings, you have to lock each of them with a complicated system (not just 1 key/lock), close all windows, etc. Due to it’s proximity to the public, we didn’t want to leave it unlocked or the windows open either. For the POSITIVE aspects, it’s absolutely stunning & gorgeous view, the pictures are accurate, it’s location right on the cliff above the beach. Also the setup was great for us & our adult children. The separation of two wings for sleeping with the common/living room in the middle was perfect. Everyone had enough privacy and common time as needed. The infinity pool was beautiful and so easy to use. The hot tub was also really great. Every kitchen/bar/beach item you would need was provided & in stock. And a lovely floral arrangement upon arrival. Property Manager very nice and responsive once we were there. I also need to mention there was a wasp problem. It was sprayed before we arrived, and the property manager had the pest control come & spray again while we were there. They were still problematic, and he offered to have them come again, but we used the wasp spray that was there, and it kept them at bay enough. But when you’re paying this much for a property, I really don’t think we should have had to deal with them at all.

What a fabulous location, away from everyone with stunning views and great snorkeling just a walk from the home. There were a couple things that didn’t follow their guest book. No extra bbq tank and we should have received cleaning service once for the amount of time we were there.

Nice to “meet” you. I hope we get the chance to share our little piece of paradise with you.

Our family started visiting the Big Island nearly 40 years ago, when my mom was pregnant with my sister. It was the only place she got relief from crippling morning sickness and that was the beginning of recognizing Hawaii’s healing powers. In fact, we took it as a sign that one of the translations of Wailea Bay—the bay our house overlooks—means “healing waters.”

Ever since, we’ve come here to relax, recuperate, and reconnect. I’m impressed by my parents’ foresight in creating a tradition that means at least once every year, we take time away from the TV, to be here together.

Playing card games on the deck, making elaborate brunch spreads with organic eggs and local honey in the pavilion, building sand castles on the beach…so many of our favorite family memories were created here and it warms our hearts to be able to share it with you. We wanted to create a respite, a sanctuary, a healthy home of peace and tranquility away from everyday stress and distractions.
