About this property
Secluded woodland cottage on the banks of a pristine Highland river
Riverside Cottage sits in the grounds of Kerrow House, one of 3 peaceful, self-catering cottages in Strathfarrar, north of Loch Ness in some of the most pristine and wild glens of the Highlands, nestled in woodland on the banks of the River Glass.
The cabins are equipped to the highest standards, with every comfort and furnishing to keep you warm and snug. Regardless of your energy level, there is something for everyone, whether stunning river views, forest walks, spectacular climbs, wildflower meadows or mushroom hunts in the woods. Kerrow is the perfect base for a romantic break, family holiday, or simply a secluded place to escape.
Kerrow is a few minutes from some of the wildest and most secluded glens of the Highlands and the ideal launchpad for exploring the glens and munroes north of the Great Glen. There is
a wide variety of outdoor pursuits. Nature-lovers can see diverse wildlife, including otters, badgers, pine-martens, owls, red squirrels, ospreys, kingfishers, golden eagles and the newly-returned beaver. The surrounding woods are rich in berries and mushrooms. Take a canoe down the River Glass, or if fishing is your thing, guests are welcome to fish free-of-charge for trout along our 5 kilometers of wild and pristine river bank. Salmon fishing can also be arranged.
