About this property
Four bedroom stone barn conversion near Dartmoor and Devon beaches
Old Dairy Barn occupies one side of a walled courtyard forming part of the 17th century Manor House. It was previously used as a farm building with cows downstairs and their food kept on the top floor. It has been completely refurbished and now boasts four bedrooms and two bathrooms on the ground floor whilst the upstairs has a large open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. It has its own entrance, private parking and a sheltered sitting area outside.
Being located close to the A38 makes for easy access to the sights of Devon and Cornwall whilst offering close proximity to the wild landscape of Dartmoor. Within walking distance we have Pridhamsleigh Caverns, one of Devon's premier caving spots and we can recommend a guide if you wish to go underground. Ashburton, with its Antiques Trail, cafes and restaurants is also within walking distance as are the pub/restaurant at Furzeleigh Mill and Buckfastleigh, home to the steam trains of the South Devon Railway which run to Totnes.
The calendar is currently blocked for 36 hours between each booking during which the property remains empty and is thoroughly cleaned in order to minimise the risk of Covid19 transmission. If you would like to book the property for a longer period than is shown please contact me and I will endeavour to accommodate you.

Property and location are absolutely stunning, everything you could wish for and more. Check in and out process was very easy and Helen was a wonderful host. Would definitely love to return and highly recommend.
Beautiful converted barn in a quiet location but close to beaches and activities. Clean, comfortable property with excellent amenities/facilities. Outdoor space too and off road parking. Great for families.
Family of 3 adults, so we had plenty of space and our own bedrooms. A very nice and well equipped house. Very clean and fresh. I don't think I have never slept better anywhere in a rented house or a hotel. Very well equipped house, everything we needed was there. I recommend this place.
Lovely break in a lovely cottage with a great location with very friendly hosts
Review comments 1: Lovely cottage - especially upstairs. The pool table was a big hit. Great location and friendly hosts. Any issues were quickly dealt with.
Review comments 2: What a lovely break we had
there. The accommodation was brilliant as was the central location. The cottage was fully equipped to a high standard. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. There were seven of us, in three generations and all agreed that we would love to stay there again.
First impressions when walking in are mind your head!
The downstairs bedrooms and toilet/bathrooms are very nice, the bedrooms having enough space for all of us.
Upstairs is a sight to behold. The seating areas , including the pool table give a really spacious feeling to the property.
When we walked in, it was Wow!!!. The kitchen and dining area were perfect for the 6 of us.
Everything about the property is great and would recommend anyone to stay there if they are looking at staying in the South Hams/Riviera, avoiding the hustle and bustle of the seaside towns.

A quite location, close to many amenities and tourist attractions. Had a lovely week with our family of seven. Would thoroughly recommend staying here.
Hosts are lovely and very responsive to any needs. The place is a credit to you, children and adults all loved it! Perfect for a family getaway, it is just beautiful and so homely! We hope one day to return here.

We had a lovely time staying here and didn’t expect to find The barn is very clean, plenty spaces in the living room area and very well equipped modern kitchen with everything you could ask for.
Helen and Mark are a very friendly host.
Spacious well equipped accommodation, all spotlessly cleaned. The children enjoyed the games provided. Very well located to visit various beaches, seaside towns and Dartmoor. The hosts were very friendly and happy to give recommendations. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
The barn is a great layout for a wider family holiday. Location gives accessibility to moor and beaches. A38 not noticeable for all but occasionally. Hosts always happy to help and give ideas for days out. AAA+
We had a lovely stay in The Old Dairy Barn, it had everything we needed and more! There was lots of thought gone into making our stay as comfy as possible from a lovely welcome pack with bread, milk, tea, coffee, jam, wine and cookies ( which we devoured straight away) to tea towels, washing capsules, dishwasher tablets, books, games... the list goes on! All the facilities were spotless and of high quality. The location was great with so many places to visit and things to do, lots of them within walking distance so no need for the car. We'd definitely recommend staying here to others and the owners were really helpful and friendly too.
Having had a couple of holidays cancelled because of travel restrictions we were delighted to find a gem of a place in Devon. The accommodation was well furnished complete with everything you need for a relaxing break. A ideal base to explore either Dartmoor, South or East Devon. We would certainly go there again and have no qualms about recommending the place to others.
The property was lovely, it was large and very clean , and comfortabley
situated in a lovely part of Devon. Mark and Helen greeted us and made us feel very welcome, we hope to return very soon. Cant recommend it highly enough.
Wonderful accommodation and hosts in a great location for exploring South Devon
Mark and Helen were wonderful hosts, very friendly and accommodating. The house has been newly renovated with everything necessary for an enjoyable stay. It was clean and very specious.
The house is situated near the A38, so very convenient for exploring the coast and Dartmoor.
We have lots more exploring to do, and will definitely be staying again.

Why they chose this property
Pridhamsleigh has a long, fascinating and sometimes tortuous history and we were immediately drawn to maintaining it in order to share the experience of Devon with our guests. There is so much to see and do nearby that makes every day a rewarding one.
What makes this property unique
Pridhamsleigh Caverns, the local walks, Ashburton, walking on Dartmoor and visiting the coast are all part of the unique mix that draws visitors here year after year.
