Le Caveau spacious vintage vineyard villa at DOMAINE SAINT FERREOL

3 bedrooms (1 double, 2 twin bedded), 2 bathrooms. The former wine tasting rooms of the vineyard, Le Caveau now offers spacious accommodation with excellent views of the surrounding vineyards from the large French windows on one side and secondary French doors which outlook onto the sunny flower gardens, giving the overall room a light and spacious character. The large lounge (30 x33ft) has an integral kitchen area and a dining area for up to 8 people. The old beams have been maintained and restored throughout the villa. The decor is rustic with plenty of pretty Provencal materials used throughout to provide a colourful, country house feel. In the lounge is a large, comfortable sofa bed a second squashy sofa and several armchairs. Colourful paintings and antique furnishings provide style and local ambience. The kitchen is well equipped with all mod cons. A downstairs twin bedded room with own shower. Upstairs: 2 very spacious bedrooms. Private garden, table, chairs, parasol, and BBQ.


Domaine St Ferreol is an authentic vineyard that offers luxurious holiday accommodation for rental and is also an ideal setting for celebrating your special occasion. Located in the heart of the Herault Valley in Languedoc, close to Pezenas (6km) and sunny Mediterranean beaches (25km) there are a wealth of cultural & sporting activities to keep you busy all year round. Dating back to 822 the ancient Domaine lies in a peaceful 35 acre estate, surrounded by vineyards with 2 acres of wooded parkland, 1 km of riverbank, a bamboo park & natural water gardens and ponds. The extensive grounds include a large secluded pool (13x6M)
Set in its own landscaped garden, an enclosed children's play area with a Wendy House, swings, slide, sandpit, table tennis and 14ft trampoline & a large park with plenty of nooks and crannies. The 5 villas have been tastefuly restored, retaining many original features & offer a unique blend of traditional Languedoc character with all the luxurious comforts of home.

absolute perfection

The whole property and surrounding grounds are immaculately cared for by the charming owners. The website photos gave an idea of the buildings, the gardens and the wonderfully sited pool, but the reality offers so much more. It was a truly memorable week's holiday.

Wonderfully relaxing holiday / Erholsame Ferien

We enjoyed 12 relaxing days in southern France at St. Ferreol. The accommodations were comfortable, very spacious and included a well stocked kitchen, linens (even a pool towel) and a great lending library. On our terrace, we were able to dine al-fresco many times at lunch or dinner in the warm spring sunshine. Our teenagers especially liked the large trampoline, swimming pool and playing with the owners‘ dog, Pasha. We even had the treat to see on-site wine bottling while we were there, and of course enjoy a few bottles of their delicious Viognier wine. There are many attractions to see from St. Ferreol and most within 20 – 45 minutes‘ drive: French markets, quaint towns (Pezanas, Meze, Marsiallian ville just to name a few), wonderfully sandy beaches, canoeing on the Herault river at St. Guilhem de Desert, the modern aquarium in Montpellier, the Canal du Midi UNESCO World Heritage site at Beziers, Carcassonne with its medieval citadel and much more. The attractions were complemented wonderfully by the many delicious restaurants in this area. The whole family especially enjoyed the local „Moules et frites“. And most of all we enjoyed the owners‘ warm hospitality. Thank you Ania and Jorje for helping to make our holiday so enjoyable! Wir verbrachten 12 erholsame Tage in St.Férreol. In der grosszügige Wohnung mit der kompletten Küche fühlten wir uns sehr schnell wie zu Hause. Auf der Terrasse konnten wir manches Mittag- oder Abendessen geniessen, da hier im Frühling bereits sehr angenehme Temperaturen herrschten. Unsere Teenage-Kinder genossen insbesondere das sehr grosse Trampolin, den schönen Swimmingpool (welcher bereits warm genug zum Schwimmen war) sowie das Spielen mit dem Hund, Pasha. Wir hatten in diesen Ferien sogar das Glück, dass wir das Abfüllen des Weines von St. Féreol hautnah miterleben konnten. In der Umgebung gibt es in einer Distanz von 20-45 Minuten Autofahrzeit eine Vielzahl von Sehenswürdigkeiten, typische südfranzösische Städte, wunderschöne, weisse Sandstrände, die weltberühmten sieben Schleusen von Beziers, das moderne Aquarium in Montpellier, die mittelalterliche Festungsanlage von Carcassonne und noch vieles mehr. Dies wird durch die vielen, ausgezeichneten Fischrestaurants auch kulinarisch perfekt ergänzt. Die ganze Familie liebte auch die sehr schmackhaften „Moules et frites“. Im Speziellen erfreuten wir uns an der Gastfreundschaft der Besitzer. Vielen Dank an Ania und Jorje, welche unseren Aufenthalt sehr angenehm machten.

Perfect

This is the first time we have been a holiday property more than once, and that is because Domaine St Ferreol is the perfect place for a peaceful, relaxing, comfortable stay. We stayed in a 3 bed property where the rooms are very spacious, the kitchen well - equipped and the living space enormous. It is cleverly laid out that all properties have a small private outdoor area, and then everyone shares the estate grounds. This means that children can meet and play together without you worrying where they might get too. The swimming pool is excellent. There are masses of things to do in the area, it is only about 20 mins drive south to get to the Mediterranean, and 30 mins north to hills, rivers (canoeing and swimming), medieval villages and beautiful towns. We have spent 3 weeks here in total and still there is more to explore. Jorje and Ania are perfect hosts, and their wine-tasting evening is not to be missed.

Great place to stay , and relax.

This was our seventh or possibly eight trip to St Ferreol. We discovered it by chance many years ago and it has become a regular place to go for a relaxing week. Jorje and Anja are fantastic hosts. They are welcoming and always available to give advice about the things to do in the area. We've stayed in most of the gites. All that we have used are finished to a very high standard. Le Caveau is very spacious and with a downstairs bedroom and shower room suited the older members of our party. It opens out on to the 'walled' garden of the estate and after an exhausting day lying at the pool it was very pleasant to wander through the lavender and perhaps pick a few of the cherries. The enclosed area opening into the garden was ideal for our party of eight to sit around barbecuing, eating and drinking some of the fine local wines. The estate is 10-15 minutes drive from Pezenas, which is well worth a visit. It's close enough to drive to in the morning for fresh croissants, and various other breads which the excellent bakeries produce. The estate is surrounded by vineyards, and on many occasions we have walked through them on a warm summer evening to watch the sun go down. The grounds are very well maintained. There is plenty of space. We have never had the impression of the place being busy, even when all the gites were occupied. Hopefully this won't be our last visit to St Ferreol.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS IN THE VINYARDS

Great Holiday with Ania and Jorge at St Ferreol. The first time to the Languedoc region of France and we got everything right. The weather was perfect, the gite was spacious and very comfortable and St Ferreol is a great place to chill. Our two little ones explored the park and saw rabbits in the vines. We can definitely recommend the St Ferreol package to everyone, Thanks again Ania and Jorge.

Authentic French Vineyard Villa Experience

Beautiful location on a southern French vineyard. Gorgeous, elegantly decorated 3 bedroom villa in the middle of rolling vineyards. All the amenities you would want or need Lovely landscaped gardens and a beautiful pool area in a palm tree lined terrace garden. Kids will love the play area and adults will love the beautiful garden walks. Enjoy the vineyards own wines… magnifique!! The host Jorge will provide wine tasting in the 600 year old wine cellar on the property Hosts Ani and Jorge were so welcoming, gracious and helpful, providing invaluable advice and recommendations for local site seeing and touring. The walled City of Carcassonne is less than an hour away and beaches were even closer ( 30 minute or so drive). Local restaurants are plentiful in Pezenas (6 minute drive), and the Saturday market is an authentic French experience with local food, crafts and flowers. Our visit was everything and more than we had hoped or expected it to be. Just wonderful!! We will definitely return! KC, New York, USA

Super, beautiful & confortable Villa in Vineyard

Beautiful 3 bedroom Villa fabulously equipped for an authentic and comfortable stay. Elegant décor with French door access to private patio and access to beautifully landscaped gardens. Bedroom 1 balcony overlooks front of property which is set in rolling hills of vineyards. Majestic walking! Grounds are beautifully landscaped, ideal for children (with well-equipped play area) and a gorgeous palm-lined pool. Wonderfully helpful and gracious hosts provided great recommendations for local touring. Beach is an easy 25 minute drive, and the local Town of Pezenas (6 minute drive) is a charming, authentic, French town with a historic, atmospheric Old Quarter . Many fine restaurants and Brasseries to chose from and an wonderful Saturday market (bring an appetite). A wonderful vacation and holiday experience! We will be back next year without doubt. Perfekter Familienurlaub

Wir waren in den Pfingstferien bei Ania und Jorje auf ihrem bezaubernden Weingut. Das Apartment "Bougainvillea" ist toll, liebevoll ausgestattet und bietet viel Platz. Unsere Terrasse grenzte direkt an den großen Garten mit gepflegtem Rasen, umgrenzt von altem Baumbestand (beeindruckend). Dahinter kommt der Poolbereich, mit Rasen, Liegen, Palmen – was will man mehr? Ania und Jorje sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und geben auch Ausflugstipps. Die 10 Tage vergingen viel zu schnell – aber wir kommen wieder! Sende aus Deutschland ganz herzliche Grüße an Ania und Jorje, Andrea

Super Ferien in Südfrankreich

Ein schönes, gepflegtes Anwesen direkt angrenzend an Weinfelder. Zu Anwesen gehört ein romantischer, ehemaliger KLostergarten sowie ein Liegewiesenbereich mit Pool. Wir alle (2 Erwachsene, 3 Kinder im Teenager Alter, 1 Laprador) haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für viele schöne, in der Nähe gelegene Sehenswürdigkeiten. Kleiner Tip: lassen sie sich von Jorje den Weinkeller zeigen. Bei größerem Interesse ist eine Weinprobe zu empfehlen Englische Sprachkenntnisse sind hilfreich. Die von uns bewohnte Wohnung Le Catalan ist sehr gut ausgestattet und in top Zustand. Ein Blick in die übrigen Wohnung hat gezeigt, dass diese ähnlich ausgestattet sind.

Stunning villa in a stunning location!

From the moment we arrived Jorje and Ania made every effort to welcome us to their wonderful wine estate. Le Caveau far exceeded our expectations, beautiful grounds and fantastic pool. Our three children were able to roam freely and loved the dogs - Boris, Bonnie and Barney. The 'villa' was immaculate, the bedrooms large and bright, the lounge area fantastic (including Sky TV !!!) - all very tastefully decorated. We were only 10 mins from Pezanas and 30 mins from the beaches at Marseillan-Plage. A must to visit is Marseillan harbour with it's great seafood restaurants. Without a doubt, Domaine St Ferreol is amongst the best accommodation our family has had the pleasure to stay in, and our hosts went out of their way to ensure that our holiday was a success! PS the wine tasting was a highlight!
