Coastal cottage - sea views on coast path, amazing local beaches, The Lizard

Traditional 2 bedroom Cornish Coastwatch Cottage that sleeps 4. Amazing sea views, less than 100m from the sea. NOTE access to the cottage is via an unmade road and is best suited for 4x4 and SUV's.

From the cottage you can walk easily to The Lizard Village and Housel Bay beach (15 mins along the coast path). This truly is an idyllic location based in an area of outstanding natural beauty and surrounded by a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The cottage will suit walkers, bird watchers and nature lovers – or those who wish to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of being next to the sea. GROUND FLOOR: Large porch/sun room: catches the sun all day with views of the sea. Small table and chairs. Leads into DINING ROOM: with table and chairs and log burning stove with original brick surround and original grey painted panelling walls. KITCHEN: Newly fitted with electric hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer and fridge/freezer. LOUNGE: With comfortable seating – L-shaped sofa and a 2 seater sofa. Amazon Fire TV, Netflix, DVD player. New log burning stove. Sea views. BATHROOM: With L-shaped bath, overhead shower with screen, WC, wash basin and heated towel rail.

FIRST FLOOR - TWO DOUBLE BEDROOMS: MASTER BEDROOM: With king-sized bed. TWIN-BEDDED ROOM. Both have window seats and spectacular sea views.

OUTSIDE SPACE - Small COURTYARD at rear of house. LARGE GARDEN with wind-protected “Secret Garden” with picnic benches. The garden is open and does not have a fence, so please bear this in mind if you have dogs. Small children will need to be supervised when outside.

PARKING: Space for 2 cars on private drive.

HEATING: Electric convector panel heaters and two log burning stoves.

PETS: Maximum 2 well behaved dogs only. We do not allow dogs to be left alone in the property. The garden is not enclosed so dogs will need to be supervised when outside.

SPECIAL NOTES: The lane to the property is through a farm along an 1 mile long unmade road and may be unsuitable for low-slung cars. Maximum speed of 5mph. You will need to be happy to drive along an unmade road that can be a bit bumpy in areas or muddy when it rains. Ideally suited for 4x4 and SUV cars. Cows may come to meet you so make sure you close the gates behind you!

Towels and linen are inclusive in the rental.

A splendid and idyllic cottage

We had an amazing stay at Bass point cottage and would highly recommend. Located perfectly and the ideal little getaway spot. The track is a little rough and ready but the cottage and location makes it all worth your while

Very Comfortable Cottage - Wonderful Location

The cottage is exactly as described, very comfortable and well-equipped. The welcome basket of "goodies" was a nice touch. The location is really spectacular - right on the cliff top overlooking the sea, remote but still within walking distance of the village. I was a little concerned about the drive along the muddy track to the cottage, but even I managed it in our little Hyundai i30!

Cornwall at its best

Perfect location directly at the Coast path with an amazing view. Approaching the house is quite challenging as the way down is very narrow and steep. However the owners inform you on this upfront and its obviously the price you have to pay for staying so close to the sea. We enjoyed our Holidays a lot! Thanks!

Sofort verliebt!

Dieses Haus und vor allem seine Lage sind ein absoluter Traum. Man möchte einfach nur im Garten sitzen und die grandiose Aussicht genießen. Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Betten sind bequem und in der Küche ist wirklich alles vorhanden. Vor dem Haus führt der Küstenwanderweg vorbei, sodass man direkt loslaufen kann. Lediglich die Anfahrt war etwas abenteuerlich, aber letztendlich doch zu meistern. Wir haben uns sofort in Bass Point Cottage verliebt und kommen hoffentlich nochmal wieder.

Der perfekte Urlaub

Wunderschönes und super ausgestattetes Haus in atemberaubender Lage. Vermieterin ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich, alles toll. Super Betten! Aber Achtung: Autos mit Sportfahrwerk haben keine Chance, den Weg zum Haus zu schaffen. Die Fahrt ist auf der letzten Meile ein Abentfurr für sich mit Schlammpiste, Schlaglöchern, Kühen auf dem Weg… Mit etwas Vorsicht schafft das aber auch ein voll beladener Skoda Octavia…

Coastal Delight

A beautiful, well equipped cottage in a stunning location. Perfect for exploring the coastal path and the local beaches. The hosts were extremely helpful and even replaced the TV within hours when it developed a fault. I would highly recommend this property to anybody looking for a comfortable rural getaway set in stunning scenery.

The property itself is amazing and has everything you need for a lovely holiday and I cant fault it. The only down side wasthat there were quite a few dog hairs in the lounge but we found the hoover and it was soon resolved.

We loved the cliff top location and views. A unique experience. Lovely walks straight from the cottage. The cottage was the cleanest place ever! So close to so many great beaches and little villages. Really enjoyed it.

The property is well appointed, warm and was comfortable for the three of us. It is ideally for walking the coastal path that is close-by but not too close.. The location provides fantastic views out to sea from the garden. Due to constraints of the time we ate in most evenings and found the kitchen was well equipped for our needs. Lizard village is an easy walk (can be quicker than driving if the cows are in the lane).

The location is amazing, the sea is so close and you can just sit in the garden and watch the sea - its mesmerising. I love that I can really relax here and have a real holiday. It feels like natural, authentic Cornwall, with cows and cliff ponies adding to that experience!

The proximity to the sea, the coast path and Lizard Village. You can go for a nice walk, then walk to the pub for a bite to eat after.
