About this property

Sunrise Suite - A cozy forest sanctuary. 3min walking distance to the beach!

The Sunrise Suite is located a short walk from the sun, sand and surf of south Chesterman Beach. Chesterman Beach is generally the number one local's favourite Tofino beach and you will be able to enjoy it daily without having to search for (or pay for) parking!

Our bright, cozy suite is located on the second floor of our house and is surrounded by trees. We have a fully stocked kitchen to accommodate you for any length of stay. The suite's balcony has a barbeque for your private use and is a great place to sit for the morning sunrise!

Your hosts live on the main floor and are a family with a 15 and 18 year old. We are true locals (grew up/are growing up in Tofino). We are quiet after 10:30pm and love it when guests can offer the same!

We do have 2 pet ducks on our private separate part of the property. You may hear some intermittent quacks during the day but they are completely silent throughout the entire night. There is often a burst of quacks when we lock them in for the night at dark and when we let them out in the morning.

For the surfers staying with us we provide an outdoor wetsuit hose-rinsing area and outdoor storage space for gear.

We have Cable TV including Sports, Netflix and movie channels as well as a high speed internet connection. Due to EMF sensitivity we have the WIFI programmed to turn off for overnight hours. It is programmed to ALWAYS be on from 7:00am to Midnight For very late night hours, we provide 2 Ethernet cables for Laptop devices. Netflix and Cable TV are available 24/7. We do sometimes provide extensions if needed!

We are located a close enough distance to the main road coming into Tofino that, with windows open at night, you can hear distant traffic. The suite has excellent air circulation (Heat recovery System/forced air) so, outdoor air is always circulating indoors and windows can generally stay closed at night if any sounds (including early spring/summer bird singing) are disruptive.

Black Bear Lane is a quiet, slow pace no-through road with a cul-de-sac (a good zone for kids to hang out/roller blade etc.).

We are committed to healthy spaces and there are no chemical products/detergents/soaps etc used and no unmaintained/musty corners to be found! This space is a safe zone for those with allergies and chemical/mold sensitivities. Please reach out and ask Jade more questions on that subject if needed!

Chesterman beach at its best

We spent a wonderful week at this cottage! The location is perfect, really close to South Chesterman Beach (5 mns walk)... The beds are comfy, it's very quiet and peaceful. It's the place to stay!!!

Home away from home

This property is the best—simple, clean, great location and easy drive to town for supplies or local art ,food and activities. Easy drives to hiking which is beautiful. The owner is delightful and very willing to help you. We stayed here 5yrs ago and always talked about returning. The accommodation was as we remembered and even a new tv…all was good. We felt safe and slept like babies. A great place to come back to each night!!

Our favourite place to stay in Tofino. The host is so welcoming and accommodating. They were a pleasure to communicate with. Everything you need is here. The space is warm and cozy and very tastefully appointed. Great location for beach access and sightseeing.

Enjoyed our stay just off Chesterman Beach and the extensive biming trail between Pacific Rim Park and Tofino. Comfortable and clean. It was a nice place to stay. They even had some blocks and books for our young children. Very well stocked kitchen and bath.

The perfect home away from home

We loved the sunrise suite. It felt like we were in a tree house. Beautiful views from every window. It is close to town and a very short walk to the beach yet it feels tucked away and private. Not only is it a private entrance but also a private driveway; you feel like you have the whole place to yourselves. Jade is a lovely and responsive host and she has thought of everything! The kitchen is very well stocked, there’s sheets handy for the pull out couch, and all the soaps and detergent you could need. The beds were very comfortable. We would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone.

A true home away from home with meticulous attention to detail.

Jade does an absolutely amazing job with her VRBO. Going away is always a bit of a concern to us due to severe food allergies in the family, however we didn't have a single concern staying here. I have never stayed anywhere this clean. From the kitchen appliances to the polished chrome in the bathroom, everything was spotless and I mean spotless, like literally you won't even find water spots. Everything was cozy and welcoming. Furthermore, Jade stocks the unit with many luxury extras. From the organic spices to the high end soaps and body washes, you can truly feel that she wants her guests to have an excellent stay. We had an amazing time and look forward to returning again soon. Thank you so much for the beautiful stay!

One of the best stays experiences I ever had!

End to end, the experience was superb. The space is spotless clean and highly welcoming. My 9 year old decided she is moving in (and she already traveled the world, lived in 5 countries and experienced a lot!) It is quiet and private, the location is brilliant as it is 4 minutes walk from a beautiful beach. But the best of all is Jade. The hostess thought of everything, from multiple shampoo options and laundry detergent to all possible kitchen utensils and other little personal touch items. The communication with her was exquisite, and she valued our privacy. Though living downstairs, I (unfortunately) never met, heard or saw her. We are definitely coming back again. I appreciate and value our hostess approach and mindfulness. The space plus her hospitality is unique.

We had such a wonderful stay here at this property for our honeymoon! The space was very clean and comfortable. The owner clearly cares about their guests with many small details and accommodations provided to make our stay feel like a home away from home. The space was very private and felt like we were in a beautiful tree house getaway. This location is a very easy walk to a beautiful beach and a short drive into town! We would absolutely stay here again and look forward to the next time that we can come back to beautiful BC!

We had a great stay here! Our host has made her home a place where you can feel very comfortable. Loved being able to walk to the beach using a path through the trees. Would highly recommend this accomodation to anyone.

Secluded. Lovely. Well appointed. It's amazing how many rentals fail at stuff like TP. One expects Ikea furniture and the like in rentals. That what I'd use. But lots of rentals are badly decorated and cluttered. This place is very clean and very comfortable.
