About this property
Cedar Nest at Emerald Forest-Relax, Nature, Beach!
Cedar Nest is a cozy post-and-beam cabin, hand-built with the creative spirit of the outer coast. Nestled into a sunny clearing within the coastal forest, it offers the perfect blend of comfort and nature. You’re just a 5-minute walk to South Chesterman Beach and 5 km south of Tofino—close to everything, yet peacefully tucked away. Simply beautiful! Designed for a slower rhythm, the cabin has no TV, inviting you to trade screen time for birdsong, books, and the gentle soundtrack of the forest. Large windows frame moss-covered branches and filtered sunlight, bringing nature right into the living space.
A handcrafted staircase leads to the loft bedroom, where a comfortable bed sits beneath sloped wooden ceilings. Wake to soft morning light and rainforest views right from your pillow. Downstairs, the bright lounge area features wraparound windows, a simple couch/ daybed (twin size), and cozy reading nooks—perfect for relaxing with a cup of tea and a good book.
In true Tofino spirit, the cabin features an outdoor shower only—fully private, partially enclosed and covered yet open to the forest air. Rinse beneath the sky, surrounded by cedar, ferns, and fresh coastal scent. Many guests call it the highlight of their stay. Whether you’re seeking quiet reflection, creative inspiration, or a rustic coastal getaway, this cabin offers an intimate retreat. Step outside your cabin where some sounds of the road can be heard and wander the forest path to your next adventure, listen to rain on the roof, and let nature set the pace.
What You’ll Love • Wraparound porches with partial glass overhang • Large storage shed for surfboards, bikes & beach gear • Reliable, Wi-Fi connection • Covered propane BBQ • Private outdoor shower • Designed for a couple or two travel mates
Our goal with Cedar Nest is simple: to create a warm, welcoming home-away-from-home that reflects the character of this stunning landscape and its unique community. The Nest was thoughtfully designed as a place to relax, recharge, and feel inspired—just the kind of place we look for when we travel.
Oh, and don't forget to bring your bikes! A nearby paved multiple use path for bicyclers and pedestrians allows easy access to Chesterman Beach (.5 km), Pacific Rim National Park, a nearby Tofitian-style shop complex (2 km), and on to the downtown area (5 km) or for a longer adventure take the multi use path all the way to Ucluelet! Cedar Nest is easily accessible from Pacific Rim Highway. Guests are provided with a reserved parking space. The "Nest" and gear storage are a short walk from the parking spot on a pebble path.

A pretty and cozy little cottage nestled in the forest
I liked this place a lot, even the outdoor shower! The bed is very comfortable and the heat pump kept the place nice and warm even in early May. One great advantage here is that it is walking distance to Chesterman's Beach so you don't have to pay for parking.
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin! It looks more nice in person. The stay was peaceful with surrounding nature. We also liked that it is equipped with a full kitchen to cook our own food and the host was very responsive making sure we have everything we needed :)

Thank you so much for your lovely words. I’m really happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and felt that way about the place. It truly means a lot, and I would be very happy to welcome you back anytime.
This place was MAGICAL! No unpleasant surprises, spotless, fully equipped with anything you need, private, comfy beds. The only three things that could use improvement/FYIs but aren't a dealbreaker: -the arrival instructions could be a bit more clear, took us a while to find the place. -there are no curtains (as a part of the Forrest experience) but some blinds/curtain behind the bed could be nice (the sun rises and creates a disturbing glare, nothing you cannot fix with a towel on the window) -electric outlets on the loft floor are limited, nothing that cannot be fixed with charging before bed)
Great property! Located tucked away in the woods but close to the beach, Main Street and just a few minutes drive away from Tofino town.Cabin itself was super clean, no bugs, spider webs or anything similar. We were also positively surprised by the outdoor shower, we thought it might be cold but it’s actually a super pleasant experience and not cold at all thanks to how the outdoor shower is build. Definitely worth the price comparing it with other locations in Tofino, nothing to complain about, we’ll come again.
