Sugar Lake cabin retreat

2 bedroom 1 bath cabin on Sugar Lake in Maple Lake, MN. Cabin faces West for beautiful sunset views. Great lake for boating, fishing and relaxing. The property sleeps 6 guests. Rental comes with water toys, paddle boards, fishing poles. Fully furnished, HD television with dvd player, internet. Sugar Lake is spring fed and one of the cleanest lakes in the area with over 10 ft clarity and 1,000 acres. Cabin was remodeled in 2018 with new kitchen, stainless appliances, granite and flooring. Boathouse was rebuilt this year with deck on top. New stairs provide easier access to boat house and lake.

-boat and jet ski rental is available in town.

We have added a lily pad this year for use!

This property has ~25 steps down to the lake. It is elevated which provides beautiful views of the lake but is not handicap accessible.

Sugar Lake is located in northern Wright County, approximately five miles north of Annandale. There are two public accesses, one each on the north and south sides of the lake. Sugar Lake was designated for muskellunge management in 1967. With its larger size (1,015 acres), depth (69 feet), and water clarity (10 feet or more), Sugar Lake is one of the outstanding lake resources of the county.

Much needed escape

I knew I was going to love the location when I hit the dirt road. We were looking for a quiet location to rest and recharge for a few days midweek and this cabin was the perfect blend of updated furnishings and woodsy cabin. Nick was very quick to answer any questions and a great host.. would highly recommend!

Perfect Getaway!

This cabin is everything we'd hoped for--- a fantastic view of Sugar Lake from the living room and deck---- very comfortable beds and a nicely remodeled kitchen. Very quiet neighborhood, the call of the loons can lull you to sleep. Brought our bicycles and the country roads were very safe for riding. Side trips to St. Cloud's Clemons Gardens and Munsinger Gardens (free) and the Quarry Park and Nature Preserve ($5) in Waite Park were well worth the 30 minute drive. The owner, Nick Jude, was very quick to respond to my questions--- will not hesitate to stay here again. Missing the gorgeous sunsets every evening!

Awesome Getaway to the Lake

We had an incredible time at this place. The loons sang to us and eagles flew over. The cabin accommodations were wonderful, clean, open layout with a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed the spacious deck and firepit. Would highly recommend this place! We will return next year.

Beautiful Cabin and wonderful sunsets.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The lake was beautiful and very calm during the week. We used the fishing poles and paddle boards and caught roughly 30 fish. My son caught a bass which broke the line. It will always be the big one that got away! The kitchen renovation was wonderfully done. The beds were very comfortable and we slept great! The outside porch had great views of the dock and lake. The steps to the dock were steep and will definitely give you a work out, however the hand rail made them easy to climb. I do suggest buying groceries for the cabin as from our experience things are roughly 25 minutes away. Overall We had a great time and would definitely book again.
