About this property

The Landing Spot on West Lake Sylvia

Once you arrive at The Landing Spot, you'll know you are in the right spot. This modernly appointed lake home sits on the west side of West Lake Sylvia. It has roughly 85 feet of lake shore and is quietly nestled in the woods.

The home has an open floor plan with large rooms. You will be able to relax comfortably during your stay. The master bedroom has a king bed and flat screen TV. A queen bed and twin over twin bunk beds are in the second bedroom. The lower level has a twin over full bunk bed to accommodate 3 additional guests.

Talk to your friends and family while they relax at the counter as you prepare meals in the large kitchen appointed with stainless steel appliances. The dining room table seats 6 and 4 more can be seated at the island.

There is plenty of room to unwind in the living room while you watch the HDTV or stream music. The Landing Spot has internet access, WiFi and a land line for phone service.

At just shy of one acre, you'll have plenty of space to park and participate in outdoor activities. Relax in the hot tub after a day on the water or enjoying a round of golf at one of the nearby golf courses. Many outdoor activities are available for your guests to enjoy, such as bean bag toss, ladder ball and bocce ball.

Of course there is the lake to enjoy too. Lake Sylvia is one of the top lakes in Minnesota boasting 17 ft water clarity. Paddle boards, kayaks and a canoe are available for use on the lake. The owner also has a 2018 Bennington Pontoon for rent. The boat is rented through Boatsetter. Go to their website and search for boats near Annanadale, or West Lake Sylvia, and you'll see a pontoon by Scott. The public access is close by for ease of launching your boat.

For the safety and security of our guests, the front of the home is monitored by a Ring surveillance camera mounted to the motion sensitive light.

Scott was raised nearby on Brooks Lake in Cokato. After serving 8 years in the Navy he attended St Cloud State and studied finance. He currently owns 4 residential and 1 commercial rental property in the Twin Cities. The majority of his time is spent managing his landscape management company, Grounds Crew Outdoor Services, Inc.

Laura graduated high school from Shawnee, Kansas. She attended Hamline University for her undergrad degree and the University of Minnesota for her Master's in Elementary Education. She has taught in Columbia Heights for over 20 years.

Laura and Scott were married in 2005 and have a son, Oliver. Oliver is a curious, energetic boy who loves the outdoors. He loves watching the Canadian Pacific trains roll through Annandale. They currently reside in Minnetonka, MN.

Why they chose this property

Lake Sylvia is one of the premier lakes in Minnesota. It's close proximity to the Twin Cities makes it easy to get to any time of the year. We attend many St Cloud Hockey games in the winter. We plan on spending time here in the winter after hockey games.

What makes this property unique

We looked at many homes in the Annandale area. This home is larger than most and completely updated with top of the line finishes. The home sits back from the lake a bit, which coupled with the large lot and woods on one side you'll find this home to be peaceful and private. There are a lot of windows allowing you to enjoy the scenery.
