CEDAR ESCAPE - Your Lake Home Away From Home

Host an event, entertain, or simply relax with family and friends at this gorgeous lake home off Cedar Lake. With over 3100 sq ft of open floor space and nearly 120 feet of lake shore you are sure to enjoy your time all year round, day, night, inside or out in this cozy entertaining home!

Enjoy the second level of this spacious cabin styled home with 4 log furniture bedrooms, full kitchen, beautiful morning room overlooking Cedar Lake with deck access, gas fireplace, and recreation room with pool table, foosball, and ping-pong table. Enjoy evenings around one of the 2 outdoor fireplaces on the multi-tiered deck or stay in on rainy nights in the 8 person theater room. You can choose to jump off the end of the dock, climb down the stairs into the water, or simply sit out over the water on one of the two dock chairs extended off the lake. We also offer a 12 person pontoon rental. Rent for a single day or for your entire stay.

Extra Amenities to expect:

- Morning Room with walk out deck for main entrance/exit to lake and home
- Bedrooms have extra blankets and pillows, nightlights, charging stations, and luggage racks
- Fish cleaning room w/oversized sink for cleaning fish
- On-site caretakers stay in a separate living space on the first floor should an emergency arise

Cedar Lake is wonderful for fishing, boating, and swimming. The lakeshore faces the setting sun creating picturesque views each evening. The property is a short walking distance to Schroeder Park with sand volleyball courts, playground, 2 public boat launches, camping site and a fishing pier. There is also much to do in the surrounding area; antique shops, breweries, flea markets, parks, golf, outlet center and many restaurants.

Property was great, and had everything we needed. sellers were easy to communicate with and very accommodating! Space was accurately represented on the listing, it comfortably slept our group and actually had more space than we expected. We never even saw the owners that live in the lower level and we didn’t feel that they were intruding on our stay in any way like we were a little worried about prior to booking. We absolutely loved our stay! The property has stunning viewers with plenty of activity options. One of our favorite spots was the area with the ping pong and pool tables, it was the perfect gathering place for our family. The downstairs tenants are incredibly kind and helpful, yet respectful of privacy. You won’t see them unless you need something. Overall, perfect place for relaxation, fun, and making memories together

Great family vacation location

This was a great place for all ages. We loved the movie room. Very clean and well maintained. The ability to rent the owner’s pontoon boat was a huge plus for us. Plenty of space for 9 of us to be together bit also have some privacy.

Weekend At the Lake

We had a great experience while at Cedar Escape. The cabin was spacious and very nice. Having the grill, fire pit, and garage spaces were all huge advantages over some other places I’ve stayed. And they movie room was just the cherry on top. Great views of the lake with easy access. The neighbors were friendly and it was very easy to get to from the interstate. Would definitely come back!

Beautiful Home

We throughly enjoyed our stay. Be aware if you have older people in your Family the only entrance is up a long flight of stairs. We look forward to staying again hopefully in the summer so we can enjoy the lake more. But for what we needed this place was perfect!

The perfect peaceful lake house

Susan’s lake house was the perfect, peaceful spot for our family to relax. It has everything that anyone could ask for. Plus the use of the super comfy pontoon was the cherrie on top. We could not have asked for a better week or lake house to stay in. We hope to be back in the near future!

Game haven at the lake

This was a great place for our family who likes to play lots of games. The bedrooms were arranged well to give us lots of space. Since the lake was rather overgrown, we spent more time inside playing games and made full use of the game room every day. We also loved taking the kayaks out in the early morning to look for wildlife. The kids also appreciated having the beach and playground so close-by.

Great family getaway

The property was clean and fit our family of 15. The walls are very soundproof and were a bonus with a couple of little children with us. The beds were log style and quiet getting in and out of the bunk bunks. You could go to bed early without disturbance. It's a way up to the second level living quarters but was worth the trips up and down for water fun. It was a great 5 nights and four days with family in a quiet, clean home.

Amazing Place

The place is amazing! The kids loved making s’mores in one of the fire places and they loved watching movies in the movie theater curled up in a blanket. One thing that we noticed right when walking in was the smell of cigarette smoke. There were cigarette butts on the outside deck and an ashtray filled with cigarettes outside as well. We eventually got used to the smell.

Amazing time. We were in from Seattle for a wedding. We wanted a space where our families could spread out and enjoy each other’ company. It was fantastic!.The theater was an amazing space for the baby. He needed a dark room to sleep soundly and the theater room was perfect for that. It also was a great private space to nurse. The property was perfect for our crew and the caretaker super helpful! Well stocked and a ton of fun! Thanks so much.

Perfect for a family getaway

Very spacious and clean space, it’s essentially two houses connected with a central kitchen. Both sides have 2 bedrooms and a bathroom, so our group of 11 had plenty of space. The theater room was a huge bonus, we used it pretty much every evening. Everything was clean and well-kept. It has a very homey feel, not overly modern and plain like some other rentals tend to be. It really is the perfect place for a lake getaway with a group. The pontoon was great, and the fishing off the dock was an awesome place to introduce a few people to fishing. We all caught fish, and I even got a good-sized bass just off the dock.There are some stairs involved, but the views from the deck and the house make it well worth it. There’s a fridge on the deck and a bathroom at ground-level, so it’s easy to spend a whole day outside. The neighbors even welcomed us and chatted for a bit!If you have a group and want an awesome lake experience, I can’t recommend this place enough! We’ll definitely be back.

Outstanding Cabin

We celebrated Christmas and our 50th wedding anniversary at Susan's lake home. It was perfect. The layout gave us lots of room with 8 adults and 4 grandchildren. The game room and movie theater room were huge hits! The beds were all very comfortable and the view magical on a winter's night. All in all, the entire family would use one word to describe this property... PERFECT!
