About this property

Immaculate Historic District Fast Wifi Free Parking & Cable

Immaculate newly renovated 3 bed 2.5 bath house sleeps 8 in the heart of the Historic District South (Beach Institute).

Great for weddings and bachelorette parties.

Opposite Mother Matilda Beasley Park. A 5 block walk from Forsyth Park.

Built in 1900 with full modern update. We pride ourselves on having a spotlessly clean home. All furniture and furnishings new and in mid century modern style.

High ceilings, great light, good room sizes, modern bathrooms and well equipped and stocked modern kitchen (granite and stainless) for cooking real meals and eating at home.

LOTS OF FREE PARKING (that is rare and a real saving in Savannah. Most of Savannah is metered and places with valet are $30 per night per car. )

We have a large flatscreen TV with 140 cable channels and IP TV (Netflix, Amazon etc. accessible via your own accounts) in the living room.

High speed wifi internet throughout.

Pricing Comparisons? We sleep 8 in a real home for the price of one hotel room! Check other rentals number of bathrooms (plenty have 1 or 1.5 only and people forget what it is like getting ready to go out when you have 6 adults trying to share a single bathroom). Also when comparing prices check cost of parking (often $20-30 a night per car - we have plenty of free parking) and make sure it is a legal rental which pays the 13% tax included in our prices.

Our location -we are on the eastern edge of the Historic District, a great base from which to wander the neighborhoods and Squares that make Savannah such a special place to visit. Everything is close, River St, Forsyth Park, the happening restaurants of the Victorian District. We have a lovely park directly opposite the house which has a kids playground in it (100 yards away so no noise).

Look at the map in our photos section. House is the red heart about half way down on the right hand side.

Forsyth Park - 0.4 miles, 10 min walk
River St - 1 mile, 20 minute walk through Historic District ($5 Uber)
Closest supermarkets - Kroger - 0.3 mile, 7 min walk. WholeFoods 2.5 miles ($5 Uber)
Target - 3 miles away ($5 Uber)

In terms of getting about, walk, cab/uber, drive or take the bus as you wish. Bus stop is a few yards across the road. We have lots of free on street parking. An Uber to the heart of River St is $5 and a 5 minute ride. Savannah is about walking and sightseeing so bring a good pair of shoes and explore.

Our layout:

Bedrooms (All upstairs) Mattresses and bedding all new. All white and allergen free.

1 Queen Bed
2. Queen Bed
3. Queen Bed

Living room has a full size Queen sized sofa bed.

Bathrooms (we provide soap, shampoo and conditioner & all white towels. Ee have beach towels as well)

Upstairs:

Ensuite to bedroom 1 - Shower over tub, glass enclosure.
Ensuite to bedrooms 2 & 3 - walk in shower.

Downstairs - powder room/toilet.

Central heat and cooling and varispeed ceiling fans in all bedrooms and living and dining room. Living spaces and bedrooms have attractive but non-working fireplaces.

Original refinished wood floors in living dining and halls, new wood floors in bedrooms (no carpet anywhere).

Dining room seats 8 comfortably.

Kitchen has a bistro table and 2 chairs for a quick bite and is properly stocked with pans and utensils so 8 people can cook and eat real meals. Plates, glasses etc for 15+. Kitchen has coffee maker, espresso machine, kettle, toaster, blender, microwave and electric range.

Full sized washer and dryer in utility room.

We have our own quiet private backyard (brick paved). Outdoor seating and tables, lots of shade and gas BBQ for some outdoor relaxing. We even have a blender in the kitchen for making sundowners.

Our home is a rental for adults or family parties who appreciate and will respect a well appointed and maintained home-away-from-home.

We are child friendly and have a kid's toilet seat and step available but are not baby proof.

We also have a few steps up to front and back door and both bathrooms and all bedrooms are upstairs (a half bath downstairs) so if you need wheel-in access we are not the rental for you.

Digital front door lock with your own custom code so no hassle with keys and access at any time in your stay period. There is a lock box with keys inside if you have issues with the digital lock.

Great local manager on call 24/7. Our STVR license number - SVR-00833

Great long weekend stay in Savannah!
We enjoyed the property. The house has a lot of space. There were three of us so we each had our own bedroom. Comments: - The location is good, you are on the east edge of the historic district across from a park. It's a little far to walk to the river but we used Lyft all weekend to get around. The walk to Forsyth Park is more like 10 minutes. - The house is a duplex or split house with what I'm sure is the exact same layout flipped on the other side. It seems like there are full time neighbors. Being a historic house you will hear them come and go and move around. - The listing mentions the stairs, a fair warning that they are skinny and steep so if you're unsteady on stairs this may not be for you. - The house amenities are excellent. Plenty of towels, pillows, and the kitchen has everything you can think of and it's all well labeled. - The patio out back is a nice space. - Being a historic house you will hear road noise as the windows are thin. There wasn't much foot traffic so we didn't hear people talking outside. I used the provided sleep machine. - The size gives you plenty of space to relax and spend time with your group. We spent a lot of time in the living room and ate breakfast at the dining room table. There is a half bath downstairs off the dining room that is very convenient. -Keyless entry was nice and the owners communicated well. Listing is fairly represented on VRBO, recommended for larger groups who want the Savannah experience.

Perfect Location & Accommodations!
The house was the perfect base for our explorations in Savannah. It was beautifully accessorized and well equipped for all our needs. The beds were all so comfortable -- a rarity in most places! Thank you for a wonderful VRBO experience!

Great stay!
We greatly enjoyed our time and the extras provided by the owners were a blessing. Starting with the sound machines. The noise outside can get to be a bit loud (I stayed in the front bedroom) but it was a huge help. I wish that the curtains were better at blocking the street lights as they were very bright and right outside the window. The kitchen was well stocked and there was lots of salad dressing! LOL - we added to the collection. We also enjoyed that we could take the short walk over to Forsyth Park and jump on the DOT to get downtown. Overall it was a great stay and if we ever come to the area again we will be sure to hit up Darryl!

Great Location Location
Was a great stay. My wife and I felt at home away from home with my daughter and son in law and Cousin Linda and husband John. Walks around were all doable and pleasant. Went one block off the start of Parade for St Pat’s. Hall street I believe. And Abercorn. Was all wonderful and especially our time at a well taken care of home. Plenty of room and bonous outdoor patio fenced in. Weather was just perfect. Again the home and also my communication with Darryl were more than our expectations. Would stay again and whole heartedly recommend to others. Woo Savannah and 535 E Broad Street… Thanks for a most memorable time….

We are a family of ex-pat Europeans based in Los Angeles. We came to Savannah when one of the kids was playing in the Music Festival and immediately fell in love with the place. Friendly people, great restaurants, tons of cool places to walk and explore. We love spending time here whether with the kids or as a couple. We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

Savannah is a top tourist destination for very good reason. We are located in a quiet corner of the Historic District in the Beach Institute area. Leafy streets, attractive homes, and lots of little streets to wander and explore. We bought our home because while it has the character of an old home in terms of light, high ceilings, lovely wood floors and decent room sizes it has been fully updated to provide spacious modern comforts and convenience. Who doesn't love a modern bathrooms and kitchen? We even have a well appointed shaded outside space so you can unwind after a hard day of exploring and make good use of the blender in the kitchen.

We have great neighbors who live here all year round and everyone looks out for everyone.

We also have lots of free on street parking ($30 a car a day to park in the heart of the Historic District gets old fast), a lovely park opposite (with a kids playground set back about 75 yards from the house). We are a short walk (20 mins to River St) or a $5 Uber ride to all the action.

What makes this property unique

Our local property manager and cleaner team, Natasha and Bessie are amazing. You will appreciate their attention to detail and pride in our home. Natasha is on call for anything you need.
