This wonderful waterside home is situated in the picturesque village of Tighnabruaich. Beautifully appointed featuring an 18 metre balcony that has fabulous views across to the Isle of Bute. A magical location for the discerning traveller who enjoys style and comfort.

Featuring an open plan interior this stunning house is spacious and luxurious and, always, dominated by the spectacular view. The living area is stylish and comfortable with absolutely stunning views. Leading from the living room there is a lovely sun room that also has spectacular water views.

Feel at home with your well equipped kitchen fitted with modern and quality cooking appliances. The region has an abundance of local produce on your doorstep to encourage creativity in the kitchen or simply take time out and enjoy the the regions local cafes and restaurants.

Upstairs the villa has two double en-suite bedrooms and two twin bedrooms also with en-suites.

Fantastic space in amazing location

The location is absolutely fab, love the area, the views and so easy to get on the water. This is a spacious property, comfortably fitted 4 adults and 4 kids. Only downside for me was the double mattresses were VERY soft (one was just about ok, the other was the worst I have tried to sleep on).

A unique property built to a very high spec and one where you can relax with friends or family.

We have stayed in a lot of rental holiday properties over the last fifteen years and this one comes top overall. It's real test was that our week in July was not blessed with the best weather, but the airy and light spaces (and that includes the bedrooms and bathrooms) coupled with the view, the modern layout and very high quality fixtures and fittings, meant that my wife and I and four friends were able to enjoy the bonhomie and fun that only a really good break can provide.

Great house in fabulous location

The house was perfect for us. Spacious and comfortable and fabulous views and location. The whole area is beautiful. There are good local shops and cafes/restaurants within walking distance. Lovely local walks. Pebbly beach nearby. The Portavadie Spa was also great hit - indoor and outdoor pools, gym, hot tubs and lovely restaurant. The hob was malfunctioning on first night - but the owner organised an emergency replacement until an electrician could repair it. Great response on a Saturday night.

No private parking

This property is advertised with private parking but there isn't any. You need to park out of sight on the street and access the property down an alleyway and across a neighbours yard, which is littered with debris. I advised Argyll Self Catering of the error in the listing but 6 weeks later this has still not been rectified.

Stunning cottage

I have been in this property so many times in the past few years and I do find the cottage absolutely comfortable, tidy and clean. The owner is very kind and immediately ready to support in anyway. I’m looking forward to be there soon again.

Weekend Break

Travel and arrival instructions were clear and easy to follow. The house is spacious with a variety of lounges to either be together as a group or chill alone, with a book or music. The views from front rooms or deck are fabulous whether bright and clear, or with the wind splashing the waves against the windows. The pool table was a favourite spot! The bedrooms and ensuite facilities were great, with plenty of hot water and comfy beds. Plenty of room and crockery in the kitchen, although we did struggle with the high-tech oven!

Stunning property and area

Waterside is a stunning property in one of the most beautiful areas of Scotland. The property was well appointed and there was ample room for our family group of 8. We were blessed with great weather so enjoyed the views from the balcony. We made use of the information about the local attractions and went on the ferry to Tarbert as foot passengers (great advice), ate at Botanica at the Barn and Kames Hotel (both amazing) and spent a glorious day on Ostell Bay beach.

After a number of previous visits to the Waterside it was lovely to return. You couldn’t ask for a better position with stunning views which are ever changing. House is very well equipped and comfortable. It was strange not being able to control the heating ourselves though as the temperature/weather was always different. Rang the owner once to put up it on, which they did straight away, but we would have preferred to have been able to do it ourselves as and when was necessary. Having said that we have thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.

This was our 7th stay at The Waterside and as always it didn't disappoint us in anyway. Bruce was an amazing host and communication was brilliant. We should have been a group of 8 but ended up with only 2 of us due to restrictions. A quiet and relaxing week which was just what we needed and The Waterside allows you to unwind perfectly. The most amazing views which are as good as watching any television from all of the living area windows, as well as the bedrooms. Many, many thanks for a wonderful time....we have already booked the same week for next year!

Review of New Year delayed because of January mayhem

Our stay couldn’t have been more perfect. Views from windows amazing, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and great en suites. Fabulous location. Village had fireworks on Hogmanay at each end, we had benefit of both lots being in middle. Grandson loved beach combing, and bonus seeing otters in wild. Loonie dook was loonie. Food at Royal an Lochan v tasty. Lunch at the Oystercatcher amazing. Beach at Ostel Bay lovely and peaceful albeit few muddy bits to get to it. All in all a great choice for family break to see in 2020.

Pity about the rain

This house is in the perfect location to discover this part of the country, accomodation wise it is perfect with four on-suite bedrooms and what would have been a stunning sun room had the sun shone. the kitchen is modern with plenty of cooking utensiles and all the other stuff required for a family of eight or more to eat. My favourite bit is in the bedrooms, the full length mirrors are the heaters great idea.
