Lovely house at a great location. Just about enough things to do to fill a week. Would have been great if we could have borrowed bikes, kayaks etc., but we enjoyed ourselves.

This was a second visit here as a family of five.
This was a second visit here as a family of five. We loved it the first time Nd the second. It's a lovely large spacious, comfortable holiday cottage with four good sized bedrooms. We loved that each bedroom had an ensuite with bath. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need. Our only two complaints and issues we had was with the heating. It didn't really work when we were there and in the living room it was freezing. Towards the end of our holiday, someone came to look at the heating and said the one in the Living room was faulty and was tripping the rest. This wasn't really fair as we paid a lot of money for this, and the games room was also freezing. We should have got some money back. Also, we couldn't watch the TV in the living room as it was connected to the Internet and it wouldn't connect. We only had one TV throughout the holiday. None of the TVs in the bedrooms worked either. And there were no outside lights at the back of the cottage, even though I was told they were fixed. There is a shop about a minute away which sells basics but can be expensive. There is also a pub opposite which does good food but also a bit pricey. Make sure your car has plenty of petrol as thf only petrol station on the village is closed just now. But other than that, we enjoyed our holiday. We were, however unhappy with the heating situation.
Waterside cottage is fantastically placed on the sea wall. Beautiful views across to The Kyle of Bute and down the Loch. We have loved our stay here, lovely meals in Kmaes and The Royal just down the road and things to do and see locally.

Great holiday break, lovely and peaceful area, with amazing views.
Great holiday break, lovely and peaceful area, with amazing views. Local people were very friendly and helpful. Great quality food served in most establishments even though we dined in on occasions and the kitchen had everything needed to cook up a storm. Fishing on the far pier was great and provided fresh Mackerel for our tea. Highly recommend The Waterside and would love to return in the near future.

Can't fault Waterside, a brilliant week's holiday with plenty of places to go to and plenty of walks
Can't fault Waterside, a brilliant week's holiday with plenty of places to go to and plenty of walks. The scenery was amazing all round the peninsula, and then getting back and relaxing in the sunroom was bliss. Hope to be back someday

We all absolutely loved this house.
We all absolutely loved this house. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook for ourselves plus an amazing little tea room next door that does the best Victoria sponge I have ever had... well worth a visit. The local premier had pretty much everything we needed for the week, we also popped along to the local store about 1/2 a mile down the road for food as well. I would definitely recommend going on the fishing trip with Donald and his crew they were all so lovely and it was a brilliant price as well we ending up bringing home 15 mackerel that were delicious and the guided talk he did was really good as well.
We went in a few ferry journeys to Bute and the isle of skye but if your after a relaxing break you don't really need to leave the town your in as it has everything you would need including a brilliant pub and some beautiful walks with amazing panoramic views.
