This condo was the perfect place to stay on the big island! We booked other more expensive accommodations for part of our stay, and regretted not just staying here the whole time! The condo itself is wonderful with great AC and hot water (which is hard to find other places on the island) and you get beautiful sunset views each evening from the deck. The pools and lounge areas are incredible and the community members are so kind. We truly had the best honeymoon here!

Awesome stay!

The condo was wonderful! Beautiful view, great location, very clean, and updated. The kitchen was well stocked and great that they had beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler available to use. The communication from the owners before and during our stay was great. Would definitely stay again.

Nice ocean view from the lanai. Casa de Emdeko is always a great property. The location and salt water pool are excellent. The unit is compact but reasonably well updated. Certainly has everything that you need. The bed needs to be replaced. It is pretty bad.

Loved the lanai and view. Very nicely decorated, kitchen had everything we wanted. Wish weā€™d known there was a cooler and other outdoor items we could use.

Perfect condo

View was beautiful from our lanai. We enjoyed the 2 pools they had on premise. Only thing that was not good was the laundry room, none of the dryers were working.

Casa De Emdeko

The gardens, salt water pool, and the common area are what makes this place so special. The view of the ocean from our lanai was great. Location was good, close to everything. This is our second time staying at Casa De Emdeko, and not the last!

Great stay and wonderful view

This was a terrific location and a well-equipped condo. Comfortable and (shock) some spices in the cupboard. Everything was easy to find and instructions were provided on the electronics to answer any questions.

Had a great stay

Unit was great for the money. Have stayed in the complex before, which is nice location to everything. Unit was very clean, and had pretty decent ocean view. Common bbq grills are great amenity! Unit did not have beach chairs/cooler which would have been nice.

Amazing property with perfect sunset view

We really appreciated our time in this condo! The grounds are perfect with two pools, bbq grills and more. The unit was clean and had everything we needed although I thought there was a washer and dryer in the unit, but there is just coin-operated laundromat on site. They allowed us a late check-out even. We would definitely stay there again!

Great experience!

Property was exactly how it was described and we were not disappointed! Great location and view of the ocean from the lanai. Property was extremely well kept and clean. Will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it. Our concierge, David, was also extremely helpful in planning our trip and ensured that we got to fully experience the best Kona has to offer! Thank you Konacoast Vacations!

Really Nice One Bedroom Apartment south of Kona Town

Great location in this small quiet property right on the water. The unit was super clean. Beautiful views from the Lanai and the bedroom. The people that live there year round were super friendly and welcoming. Two pools, one salt water. Very well cared for grounds. I enjoyed my stay very much.

Best Stay Ever!

We had such an amazing stay here! The pictures didnā€™t do justice. The sunsets were amazing, the community was so nice, and our favorite thing to do was swim in the saltwater infinity pool! The pool heated from the sun all day, so night swims were the best! We also loved using the bbqā€™s, and watching all the crabs from afar on the rocks, while swimming! There was a gentlemen who blew the conch way the same time for sunset every night, and there was a even a residential women who fed the eels bread from afar, by throwing the bread a distance into the tide pools! So much fun and such a great stay! We cannot wait to come back and stay there again!!!

Great place to stay

My husband and I really enjoyed the location, right on the water. Great view from the lanai of the sunsets. Comfortable home on the third floor of the complex. There is one elevator available. Thanks for having things like beach chairs, umbrella, snorkels and ice chests available for guest to use. Nice comfortable bed! No sign of critters except the geckos outside. Everything works great inside. We loved the salt water pool and use of grills to use in the courtyard area. We'd highly recommend for 1-2 people.

It was pretty good for price, really not sure how it got a 4.7 overall rating. Honestly a 3.5 seems

Good price and location. Quick response from folks managing the place but not much help as to fun things to do. A coffee maker, some cheap utensils and not much more. Flea market wall decor. Again, good for the money but I'd probably step up a bit and spend a little more and do better. We stayed in a condo in Maui following. A bit more expensive but honestly, you get what you pay for.

Aloha! Thank you for taking a moment to share your experience. Kona Coast Vacations has a very thorough recommended inventory list for our kitchens and we hear from most guests that this kitchen is so well stocked. If you choose one of our units in the future, please know that we are available if you need us or if you think the unit is lacking some items. We are happy to help! Almost all of the pieces of art and photography in this property are originals, with much done by local artists. All of our guests are introduced to our concierge a few times before their arrival and we apologize that you didn't take advantage of his free services. We are reviewing the kitchen inventory and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Mahalo, Kona Coast Vacations

Not for OLDER vactioneers

Uneven walking surfaces around main pool lead to potential issues. Because of property elevation lots of steps involved. The property is non ADA compliant which is stated but not explained are the issues surrounding that non-compliance. I would not recommend for anyone with walking issues.

Aloha Bruce, Thank you for your feedback; we appreciate hearing from guests how we can make their stay a more enjoyable experience. In regards to your concerns, because none of our units are ADA complaint, we do not detail out the individual reasons that make them non-compliant. We regret to hear that the complex was difficult at times to navigate with mobility issues, but hope you were able to enjoy the majority of your stay. Thank you for choosing KCV. We enjoyed hosting you. ~Mahalo, Kona Coast Vacations.

Nice property

The property and location are good and fairly centrally located. This place is super quiet at night which is so nice!! The ocean was quite rough which was disappointing and spectacular at the same time. It did however mean that the ocean pool was closed for 4 days during our stay. The ocean pool is beautiful and our choice over the main pool. The main pool is not as quiet and requires a little TLC to bring it up to par. The secure parking is a little on the limited side and we often had to park outside of the gate. There are several cars that appear to be parked here long term ( absent owners?) and that ties up some of the spots for the rest. All and all a great spot and we would certainly not hesitate to rent here again.

More than excellent

The service was more than excellent. I called a few times because I did not know something. One time someone came to my room because I was unable to slide open a lock (not necessary to use). Someone was at my place in about 15 minutes to fix the problem. The condo is immaculate and very large. I just want to let you k ow that there are a few intermittent steps to navigate. I was extremely tired and over 70 and this was a but difficult for me. This is the only issue that u experienced. Nothing major. Rhonda S
