About this property
Apple Pye - Converted Barn In An Attractive Courtyard On Our Family Stockfarm
Our property is made of 4 barns which are set in an attractive courtyard and all have their own private patios with garden furniture. They have been converted from the original old farm buildings and we were keen to keep all the character. We are a family run farm presently rearing Aberdeen Angus for Waitrose and have a flock of sheep. Lambing takes place in April and guests are welcome to be involved in this. They are also welcome to explore the farm and make use of our 2 coarse fishing lakes, or our indoor heated swimming pool. We have 2 very friendly working collies Bryn and Skip, farm cats, and several chickens. The farm is located on the edge of the beautiful New Forest and so ideal for walking, cycling and riding.
An ideal base for walking, riding and cycling in the New Forest. Also near Salisbury, Winchester, Portsmouth Historic Dockyards, Beaulieu Motor Museum, Paultons Park ( Peppa Pig World), Mottisfont Abbey and the coast to name a few.
This advert is for our barn called Apple Pye which is all on one level and has an open plan living area with a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher and microwave. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in the laundry room, shared by the 4 barns, and where there is also extra freezer space and tourist information leaflets plus space in which bikes etc can be stored. The lounge area has a freeview TV and a DVD player. There is a double room with king size bed and a bunk bed room which share a bathroom which has a shower. Apple Pye is tastefully furnished to a high standard retaining the barns original chararcter and oak beams, and is heated throughout by underfloor heating. The price includes all bedding and towels and use of the indoor pool. Outside it has its own private patio with garden furniture and shared use of the attractive courtyard, where the gates can be close to allow children to play safely.

Really enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect, surrounded by cows and sheep.
We loved the swimming pool and saying hello to all the animals.
The only improvement would be a more equipped kitchen and bathroom (no hand soap, baking trays, oil, cleaning product etc)

A great place for a family stay
Tina and David are so welcoming. It's nice to be able to wander around the farm. The farm dogs are friendly and always up for a walk, the kids loved the kittens too. The indoor pool is such a bonus too. Totally recommend.
We had a wonderful week long staycation at our cottage on Pyesmead Farm. The location was super, and the cottage was a lovely base to explore the new forest and all it has to offer. The swimming pool was an added luxury with the efficient booking system which meant we could enjoy an hour long swim everyday. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. It was a really relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Fabulous converted barn on a friendly working farm
From the moment we arrived, everyone was so friendly, even the other Guests. Because of Covid, keys were left on inside of door and we could get immediate access. The little barn conversion house was beautiful, immaculate and perfect in every way possible. The Farm setting was perfect, Sheep and Lambs in front of us and Cows behind us. The indoor heated pool was an added godsend and very well organised with time slots for everyones protection. We had the most perfect week and will definitely be returning in the summer with Family.
This is a great little place and the self catering barns are high standard and have everything you need.. we used the pool briefly but it was warm , clean and a fantastic bonus to the property.. brilliant and would be nice to go back when they are lambing..

Comfortable, clean property in a 'courtyard' of sensitively converted farm buildings.
Convenient situation (though hard to find in the dark). Fully equipped cottage with all necessary mod cons. Wifi and mobile signal was good. Still felt private even though situated in a yard with several other converted cottages - each has their own outdoor space. Parking/unloading easy. Added bonus of heated indoor pool which was warm enough for us all to enjoy for an hour in December. Ideal location for visiting family and would hope to return.

We have been farming cattle and sheep at Pyesmead Farm since 1981 and have now been joined by our son Robert. We opened our Bed and Breakfast in 1987 which we have really enjoyed running over the years, and still welcome guests to this day, having made many friends over the years. We converted our old redundant courtyard of farm buildings fairly recently and now have 4 very lovely individual cottages to offer to holiday makers.
