About this property
Beautiful, cosy New Forest 2 bed cottage, close to the beach!
SPECIAL RATES FOR AUTUMN & WINTER! Gorgeous country cottage in quiet location on the edge of the stunning New Forest, just 1 mile from the beach and close to the New Forest. Oak Tree Cottage is a modern barn conversion, beautifully renovated with wooden flooring, underfloor heating throughout, double-height open plan living area and lovely furnishings. It is a cosy and comfortable base after a day exploring the New Forest and lovely Hampshire/Dorset coastline. Set in open countryside on a private rural lane, it is a peaceful holiday location, but close to popular Lymington and just down the road from the beach at the friendly village Milford on Sea and stunning Keyhaven salt marshes.
Start your day with the papers and a coffee outside in your private south facing garden (a real sun trap!) or in the modern kitchen/diner, with doors out on to the patio. After a day of beachcombing, sightseeing or cycling through the forest, sleep well in comfortable beds, between Egyptian cotton sheets. There is a stylish ensuite bedroom with king size bed. Perfect for small families or friends, there's also a twin room, with patio doors on to the garden and another bathroom with shower, bath, heated towel rail and towels.
You'll find the kitchen well equipped, an outdoor table, chairs and cushions, for al fresco dining/relaxing. In the cooler months the underfloor heating throughout the whole cottage will keep you warm and toasty after a day exploring. There's a large TV and board games if you fancy an evening in.
Please note that the garden is completely secure for your furry friends.

About the host
Hosted by Emma

Hi, I'm Emma. Ie would love to welcome you to Oak Tree Cottage. I love this area and want to share it - I know it really well so can always give you lots of advice on where to go and what to do. I fell in love with the area more than 15 years ago - with the beach and New Forest on the doorstep, how could I not?
I want to help make your stay really special - please let me know if you need any help choosing restaurants or days out, recommending catering companies for those special birthdays or just having a meal ready in the fridge. I can recommend a paddle surf company, bike hire, fishing trips, pony riding, kite surfing - there is so much to do here.
Along with my 2 boys, I love to travel and have stayed in HomeAway properties all over the place - so I know what makes a good place to stay and make sure that I am doing the same with my own property. Don't hesitate to get in touch if something isn't right. Emma

Why they chose this property
This was a derelict barn on our land, in a perfect rural location. In 2018 we got planning permission to turn it into 3 lovely cottages.
What makes this property unique
Quiet and private, yet just a short drive away from beaches, villages, towns, restaurants, etc.
