From the ruins of the 400 year old farmhouse, three beautifully restored apartments have emerged each retaining its own individual historic charm while embracing some of the modern touches of interior design.
Each apartment has its own bbq, private terrace or small garden and private acesss. The rest of the gardens and pool are shared.
Can Cruanyes (Alzina) is a unique holiday escape, immersed in the rich culture and stunning scenery of the Spanish Pyrenees, and perfectly situated between the mountains and the exquisite beaches of the Costa Brava.
The vaulted ceilings and original window frames are reminders of the farmhouse as it once was, while the large window into the open plan kitchen/livingroom gives a lovely vantage point onto the adjacent woodland of holm oak, pine and hackberry trees.
Secluded in twenty acres of peaceful woodland and paddocks, this Catalan farmhouse will be your private slice of rural bliss. We give you everything you'll need to feel at home, while still enjoying the comforts and ease of hotel-style convenience: from the WiFi internet with coverage in all areas and complementary toiletries to your own fully equipped kitchen - we have everything down to salad spinners, garlic crushers and even chef grade knives - if there's anything we forgot, tell us and we'll get one for you!
Depending on the season, there is plenty of fresh and wild produce on the grounds. Fig, cherry, plum, walnut, apple, quince, persimmon and pomegranate trees line our hedgerows and wild asparagus, mushrooms and herbs are all in abundance. We also have a cute little herb garden to add the final touches to your cooking. And once you have cooked up a wonderful meal why don't you eat out on your private terrace alfresco style.
Our large swimming pool has views up to the imposing peaks of the mountains or down to the valley beyond. The pool has been recently extended and renovated to incorporate a garden area and a new design giving you plenty of scope to choose the best place for you to relax in the sun or cool off in the pool.
We have a separate paddock which includes a bbq and children's area also. The children's area boasts a sandpit, swings, trampoline, playhouses and other toys. A great place to keep the little ones entertained for a while!
If you'd like us to point you on some of the local trails from the house, just let us know! You can pop down to the rock pools for a swim or head upwards for mountain trails within the pines.
To further remind you that holidays should be relaxing we have a jacuzzi available for guests during July and August. During May, June, September the jacuzzi can be requested if your booking is 3 nights or more. All other months of the year it is closed.
If you decide to come to us during the colder months why not enjoy the wood burning stove with free provision of wood that will leave you super toasty day and night.
For your convenience also the larger bedroom can be arranged as a twin bedroom or a master kingsize on your request, with the second bedroom as a double.

Please note if you are bringing a pet there is a separate charge of 8 euros per day per pet. There is a maximum of 2 pets. This is charged separately during your stay and you must advise us in advance that you are bringing pets.
