About this property

YOUR CALM AND COZY CHALET 200 M FROM THE BEACH

Welcome to the Caline chalet. A cozy little house built in wooden frame in our garden. Perfect for 2 adults or 2 adults and 1 child. A haven of serenity 200 m from Juno Beach by a path. Private terrace overlooking the garden, parking space on the property. English spoken.

Our outbuilding has been completely refurbished this year. It is located in our garden, at the end of the alley. On the ground floor, beautiful living room, fitted kitchen, dining area, living room and bathroom with walk-in shower. Upstairs, large bedroom in the attic with large 160 bed. The small sofa on the ground floor accommodates a bed for one person. We provide a cot in the parents' room. The pretty private terrace overlooking the garden is south facing and very quiet.
The beach is only 200 meters by the way. The location is ideal for visiting the landing beaches of Sword to Utah, and the whole Normandy region.

Great location

Isabelle was a friendly and helpful host who was easy to communicate with. The property was just as described with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The decking area was lovey to sit out in the good weather. The location of the property was excellent as it was easy to get to lots of attractions, such as Bayeux or the D-day beaches and museums.

Sometimes you almost wish to avoid a positive review for fear that the whole world will want to steal your best kept secret. But this property in bernières-sur-Mer is just such a place. Beautiful property, lovely grounds, private, safe and wonderfully located. And the hosts are special people. Please leave us some space to return without selling out!

Nice, clean and relax

It is a very nice place, new and next to the beach. The only missing things are if you go only for 2 or 3 days, the shower and hands soaps or the dishwasher tablets.

It was a very beautiful spot, very clean, but I do have to say the note telling us where the cleaning supplies were and having a picture frame of leave it as you find it was a bit much unless she was going to give us a discount off the 300 for cleaning that might’ve worked Lol it was a very nice place and I would stay there again, but I have never seen that before asking us to clean before we leave oh well

Great accommodation located close to the beach

We had a wonderful and lovely week in Bernieres sur mer. Isabelle and Guillaume were perfect hosts and their chalet was beautiful and very comfortable. Also, it had all the facilities we required. The use of bikes was an added bonus👌 Thank you. The location was very quiet and near to the beach where we enjoyed many strolls and bike rides along the promenade stopping for lunch/dinner/coffee/icecream etc - superb. It was a great central location to explore all the Normandy towns and WWII sites. We had a fabulous week. Thank you Isabelle & Guillaume. 😀😀

Well located cottage with few amenities: The facilities and location are excellent for the most part, though the stairs between the bedroom on the 2nd (really attic) level and the bathroom on the 1st floor are scary for anyone who needs to use the facilities at night as we did. Luckily, I brought my own chargeable nightlights, which illuminated the otherwise dark and narrow steps and made them feel less treacherous. Also, bath soap/gel wasn't provided at all even though there's usually some option and only a couple of rolls of TP were available, which would be fine if notice was given. We bought and left a six-pack for the next guests. Likewise, before arriving, I specifically asked the host about coffee provisions for our first morning when we wouldn't have a vehicle, and was told that it would be, which it was, but there wasn't any milk/creamer or sugar available until I requested them in the morning. The next evening, when I subsequently realized that there wasn't any ice and asked the host for a few cubes, I received no response at all. I was surprised by all of this since other reviews mentioned how responsive and friendly the host(s) were, but that wasn't our experience at all. They never even acknowledged us when we happened to run across them coming and going in the driveway. We liked the place itself very much, but felt that they should have told us they expected us to provide our own bath soap, coffee creamer, etc. so that we could come prepared.

Wir haben 6 Nächte in dem wunderbaren Haus verbracht.Im Haus fehlt es an nichts, die Ausstattung ist gehoben, modern und durchdacht. Die Lage ist ruhig , 4 Minuten zu Fuß zum Strand und perfekt für Ausflüge zu allen Sehenwürdigkeiten gelegen. Wir haben die Umgebung mit dem E-Bike erkundet.Tipp: Restaurant Auberge de la Luzerne (4 Min zu Fuß und super Menüs)Wir haben uns im Haus wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt. 100% Weiterempfehlung. Danke an das sehr nette Vermieterpaar für den schönen Urlaub.

Auch wenn kein Badewetter war, haben wir die Zeit sehr genossen; mit den dazu gehörigen Rädern waren die Wege sowohl zum Strand als auch in die nächsten Dörfer sehr kurz; in der Küche war soweit alles vorhanden, was wir zum Kochen benötigten; das haben wir Dank der vielen Märkte und vor allem des frischen Fisches ausgiebig genutzt; vielen Dank auch an Isabelle und ihren Mann für die Gastfreundschaft und die netten Hühner :) 🐓

Entspannte Tage an der Küste der Region Calvados

Wir hatten ein sehr gemütliches kleines Haus auf einem schönen Gartengrundstück mit Blick auf Pflanzen und eine alte Sandsteinmauer, freundliche Vermieter, gut rollende Fahrräder zu unsere Verfügung. Zu groß sollte man für das Schlafzimmer im Spitzdach nicht sein. Im Bad könnte etwas mehr Ablagefläche sein. Der Ort hat französische Atmosphäre mit vielen altern Gemäuern und Häusern, aber keine nennenswerten Geschäfte. Bäckerei und Supermarkt sind in ca 700 m gut zu erreichen. Uns hat das gut gefallen. Fahrradtouren in die teilweise größeren Nachbarstädtchen sind leicht möglich, oft direkt an der Küstenpromenade. Bayeux und Caen, wirklich sehenswert, sind nah. Die Küste am Ort selbst ist nicht so schön, bei Flut kommt das Wasser bis an die Promenade und bei Ebbe ist der sehr weite Bereich bis zum Meeressaum mit viel Tang und Steinen besetzt. Uns haben unsere Tage dort sehr gut gefallen.

Perfecta para desconectar unos dias y cerca de tofo

La casa esta perfecta, muy nueva , la cocina con todo lo necesario y mas, cafetera dolce gusto de pastillas. El jardin precioso, puedes entrar el coche hasta la puerta de la casa, el mar esta a una calle. Muy practico el baño y tambien la terraza privada ellos son muy ambles y discretos.
