This was a great little cottage in an excellent location convenient to all of the Normandy beaches l, historic sites, restaurants, groceries etc. Everything worked well and we had a Greta 3-day stay. Bernard and his family were very friendly and gracious. We highly recommend this property for your Normandy visit.

The House was well appointed - luxury linens and towels, newly renovated and had a 180 view although some obstruction with the places in front. We were able to check in early, but very little English is spoken. Decking with nice furniture all around and beach chairs available. We really enjoyed watching the stars at night from our bed and would love to return

Wonderful Normandy vacation home

Lovely spot

Located mid way between Arromanches and Asnelles over looking Gold beach. A short walk to either. Good routes for cycling, as we did, but there are a couple of decent hills either direction. Plenty if beach activities to keep all entertained. Now home and missing waking up to the sound of the sea and overlooking the beach.

Best Place ever on the Normandy coast

Loved this place. It was ideally located next to Arromanche. Sweet little house with well stocked kitchens and great amenities. Great view of the English Channel and Asnelles down the coast. East to get to very walkable beach. Would very much like to come back for another visit!

The Views! The reason we booked, was the pictures of the views of the beach and they didn't disappoint. Especially sat in the conservatory with a brew in the early morning look out over the beach and sea with the sun flooding in. The cottage was described as only a 200m walk to the beach and that's exactly what it is, which made life really easy with small children. The accommodation has everything you need for a few days away in peace and quiet and should you need anything, nothing seems to much trouble for Bernard. The cottage is situation in the middle of everything and for us, who wanted to spend time looking round the World War 2 memorials, it was a great base. We would highly recommend the cottage.

Wonderful stay in Normandy

This is an ideal spot if you want to explore Normandy. You are literally at Arromanches (Gold Beach). From here, we did easy day trips to Mont Saint Michele, Omaha, and Utah Beaches, Bayeux, Courseulles-sur-Mer, and Caen. Lots of great restaurants close by. Fresh local oysters were my favorite. The hosts are wonderful and friendly people. They went out of their way to help us when asked. We hope to return some day. Highly recommend!

Wir trafen in dieser Unterkunft auf ganz liebenswerte und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, die ein Ferienhäuschen zur Verfügung stellen, das von der Lage und der Ausstattung perfekt war. Es fehlte an nichts und die Lage ist traumhaft. Der Blick auf das Meer und die Möglichkeit mal eben zum Strand zu gehen, waren für uns genau das Richtige. Bei Problemen mit meinem Fahrrad wurde mir von Bernard Dank seiner gut ausgerüsteten Werkstatt sofort geholfen. Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt!

Ganz ehrlich... von der ersten Begegnung und über den gesamten 3-wöchigen Aufenthalt hatte ich das goldene Los! Vermieter unfassbar lieb, besorgt und immer ansprechbar. Alles was bei der Hitze eventuell den Aufenthalt besser macht... wurde angeboten. Die besten Nachbarn ever!Das Haus ist super gepflegt, sauber und voll ausgestattet. Heizt sich auch nicht auf. Der Wintergarten mit dem Atlantikblick... ein Traum. Schon da geht der Puls sofort runter. Einkaufen vor Ort... 4 Min Carrefour Contact... Leclerc Bayeux... 15 Min. Je nachdem was und wieviel man benötigt. Man parkt sein Auto auf dem Prvatgelände, leicht oberhalb vom Haus (vor dem Küchenfenster).Bei der Anreise die Mitteilung von Bernard beachten! Die Google Angaben führen einen vor Ort in die Irre!! Genau lesen was Bernard sendet!Insgesamt waren die drei Wochen ein Geschenk. Ich habe mich super erholt, wohl gefühlt und auch willkommen. Ich werde das wiederholen!

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche in dieser Unterkunft, die Aussicht auf den Strand und die Lage waren hervorragend. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und herzlich, im Haus war soweit alles vorhanden. Ein kleiner Supermarkt und einige Restaurants sind fußläufig zu erreichen.

Wir hatten hier einen sehr schönen, erholsamen Urlaub. Das Haus ist sehr schön, ruhig, sauber, gut eingerichtet mit einer wundervollen Aussicht auf das Meer. Hier kann man sehr schön die Gezeiten beobachten. Beim geöffneten Fenster kann man sogar das Meer hören. Der Strand ist sehr nah und fußläufig in ein paar Minuten zu erreichen. Die Gegend bietet von der Natur und geschichtlich sehr viel. Von endlosen Spaziergängen am Strand (bei Ebbe), Befestigungsanlagen mit Artilleriegeschützen, diverser Bunker, Museen und Ausstellungen gibt es viel über den 2. Weltkrieg und die Invasion durch die Alliierten in der Normandie zu sehen. Auch im Landesinnern z.B. Bayeux gibt es eine schöne Altstadt mit einer schönen Kathedrale. Wer Austern liebt, sollte unbedingt den Automaten in Asnelles ausprobieren. Dort gibt es ganz frische Austern (relativ günstig) zum Verkauf (mit Kreditkarte). Kein Vergleich zum Supermarktkauf. Die Austern selber werden direkt hinter der Stadt im Meer gezüchtet. Die riesigen Austernfelder können bei Ebbe beim Spaziergang am Meer gesehen werden. Entlang der Küste Im Meer selbst sind noch viele Senkkästen aus dem 2. Weltkrieg zu sehen, die man bei Ebbe ganz von nah sehen kann. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett, höflich und hilfsbereit. Bei Fragen wurde immer sofort geholfen. Die Kontaktaufnahme und Konversation lief problemlos. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und wollten eigentlich noch länger beiben.Wir vergeben 10 von 10 Sternen. Alles war perfekt und kommen gerne wieder

La maisonette est à quelques mètres de la maison de notre hôte. Vue mer depuis la véranda exceptionnelle, la maisonnette est située sur une butte et domine la mer. Nos hôtes sont toujours à notre disposition en cas de besoin. L'endroit est idéal pour visiter les plages du débarquement. L'équipement général est parfait. Que dire de plus ?

Accueil très agréable à l’arrivée, quelques explications utiles pour le fonctionnement du gîte. Le séjour était parfait ! Gîte charmant, propre, confortable et très fonctionnel, tout est très bien pensé! Hôtes adorables, attentionnés et discrets. Vue très belle sur la mer et la plage, qui est accessible en 5’ à pieds! Wir hatten einen hervorragenden Aufenthalt in diesem kleinen Chalet. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und ausgesprochen hilfsbereit. Das Chalet hat eine sehr gute Lage, man ist schnell am ausgedehnten Strand. Im Nachbarort,Asnelles, gibt es einen kleinen Supermarkt. Im anderen Nachbarort, Arromanches, findet man viele gute Möglichkeiten zum Essen. Das Chalet ist sehr liebevoll ausgestattet und es ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für vielfältige Erkundungen.Die vielen Sitzmöglichkeiten in und um das Chalet bieten viele Möglichkeiten zur Erholen.Das Chalet kann man uneingeschränkt empfehlen.Wir möchten uns noch einmal ausdrücklich bei Joelle und Bernard bedanken.

Liebevolle Betreuung, reichliche Ausstattung im Häuschen, schönes Herbstwetter und mit Heizung warm genug auch im Wintergarten, Blick auf das Meer mit Ebbe und Flut am Strand von Asnelles, rundum alles mit Auto gut zu erreichen - rundum perfekt für uns zwei. Danke, Joelle und Bernard.
