Excellent accommodation, well equipped and quiet. Great spot to explore the Normandy museums and monuments. Good location to base for cycling, with a private storage area for bikes.

Perfect for a base in Normandy. Even though we didn't speak French, the check in process was easy as the lovely hosts met us and showed us around. Immaculateoy clean and eveything was there for a comfortable stay. Supermarket a short drive away if required.

Our hosts were lovely and helpful even though we spoke almost no French and they spoke no English. Being able to lock our rental car inside the gate was an added bonus. The yard was quiet and perfect for an impromptu picnic of food purchased in nearby Bayeux. Highly recommend.

Das traditionelle Haus ist modern renoviert, gerade erst auf den Vermietungsmarkt gekommen. Die Betten haben eine gute Matratze. Die Besitzer sind freundlich, hilfsbereit und gleichzeitig zurückhaltend . Ein schöner Weg durch das alte Dorf führt zum (Kieselstein) Strand mit Naturdusche von einem Bach der 5 m in die Tiefe fällt. Restaurant, Café etc. sind alle geschlossen, nur eine teure Tankstelle und ein Schnellimbiss Wagen steht täglich auf dem Parkplatz, eine Bushaltestelle ist vor dem Haus.. Einkaufen mit Auto in Bayeux ( 20 Minuten) kein Problem. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind innerhalb 30 Minuten mit PKW zu erreichen. Im nächsten Dorf Port- en -Bessin Huppain befindet sich ein Fischmarkt, nette Restaurants, Tourist Info, Abendaktivitäten. Zusammengefasst: Aure sur mer ist ein sehr ruhiger Ort, mit Auto super zentral gelegen. Wir 4 Erwachsene haben uns wohl gefühlt und können es weiter empfehlen.
