This stone and beamed gîte has private access with 2-car parking and two fenced lawns.
The beach of Sainte Honorine des Pertes is 700 m away, that of Omaha Beach (accessible on foot or by bicycle via a cycle path, starting at 100 m.
A play area with swing and slide is available, as well as games for children (4 to 12 years old).

We spent 2 weeks at this beautifully renovated blacksmith barn. Laurence was a wonderful host and it was easy to communicate with her, she responded to all our requests promptly. There is a completely fenced in yard which was great for our 3 dogs. We enjoyed our stay very much and will come back!

Excellent place to stay near Bayeux and the D-Day beaches

This was our second stay at this property and it was great for our needs. The weather wasn’t perfect so our plans had to be adjusted. We really enjoyed visiting Bayeux and cycling along the coast. It was a very comfortable property and well equipped.

Great place in a fantastic region

We really enjoyed our stay. Great place with style. Enclosed property which is great for dog owners. Patrick, the caretake lives across the road and is not only a great help but also a great person. The location is very nice, quiet, short walk down the beach and close to interesting places like Omaha Beach, Port en Bessin, Bayeux and Caen.

A very nice vacation home in an old forge. Clean, nicely made and good equipped.The house is a detached home with own garden a patio and own parking place behind a gate, so super comfy and quiet.Heating of the main room is by stove and wood logs. It was a lovely location with a beautiful garden. I felt safe and enjoyed our stay. The place was beautiful! The drive to many wonderful attractions was enjoyable. We were greeted after a delayed train and were able to get settled right away. The toilet seat kept falling off. As a woman traveling with my husband and sons, I was the only one who noticed that. The pictures match the beautiful space! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Super Location

Wirklich eine tolle Location. Ein sehr stilvoll restauriertes Gebäude mit einem völlig abgeschlossenen Garten. Für unseren Hund ideal. Auch das Auto konnte innen im Hof abgestellt werden (elektrisches Tor).Bei der Ausstattung fehlte es an nichts. Man konnte von dort aus mit dem Auto sehr gut in alle Richtungen Unternehmungen machen. Zum Omaha Beach ging es auch zu Fuß.Es gab bei der Sauberkeit einen Stern Abzug. Dort aber nur deshalb, weil es keine andere Kategorie gab, wo es vielleicht besser gepasst hätte. Wir hatten den Eindruck, dass die Eigentümer schon länger nicht mehr vor Ort genau hingesehen haben. So waren einige Küchenhilfsmittel in einem fragwürdigen Zustand (Schneidebretter, Töpfe) oder der hier schon mehrmals erwähnte Toilettensitz war immer noch (oder schon wieder?) locker.Die Geschirrspülmaschine stand vor, so dass die Besteckschublade nur bei aufgeklapptem Spüler vernünftig zu öffnen war. Das haben wir bei der Abreise Michel gemeldet. Er wollte es am selben Nachmittag in Ordnung bringen. Außerdem war die Geschirrspülmaschine nicht fixiert. Zog man den unteren Korb mit Geschirr bestückt heraus, bestand die Gefahr, dass das ganze Gerät nach vorne kippte.Das alles hat aber den Aufenthalt keinesfalls getrübt. Es war einfach nur toll dort.

Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm und bei Fragen war immer jemand erreichbar. Die alte Schmiede wurde liebevoll renoviert und ist vollständig eingerichtet. Den Punkteabzug gab es lediglich, weil das Objekt nicht vollständig gereinigt war. Dies wurde aber vom Eigentümer erklärt und entschuldigt.

Wunderschönes Haus

Wir waren als Paar mit Vierbeiner in dem geschmackvoll eingerichtetem Haus. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt, die Außenanlage ist hübsch und wir haben sie und die herrlichen Ausflugsziele am Meer genossen. Wahrnehmenbar im Garten war zu gewissen Zeiten der Straßenverkehr zu den Stränden. Wir konnten gut damit leben, denn ansonsten stimmte einfach alles. Richtung Landungsstrände

Mittendrin und doch ruhig

Ein nettes Haus in ruhiger Lage. Dennoch sind Strand, Bäcker und Restaurants gleich um die Ecke. Das Haus teilt sich ein Grundstück mit einem weiteren Ferienhaus, was aus der Anzeige nicht hervorging. Wir hatten Glück und nette Nachbarn, die auch keine Angst vor einem großen Hund hatten. Was fehlte, waren Auflagen für die Gartenliegen und bei Ostwind weht der Gestank einer Papierfabrik in die Nase. Zum Glück hatten wir meistens Westwind. Alles in allem passen Angebot und Preis.

Tolle Ferien mit Kindern und Hunden

Grosser gemütlicher Wohnraum, zweckmässig eingerichtet. Wunderschöner Garten, rundum eingezäunt und dadurch perfekt für unsere Hunde. Gegend sehr geschichtsträchtig - es gibt viel zu sehen und auch bei kühleren Temperaturen hat man viele Möglichkeiten. Wir bekamen zwei Fahrräder zur Verfügung - die Gegend war dann aber doch nicht nur topfeben! Insgesamt verbrachten wir tolle Ferien - danke Laurence, dass wir mit unseren 7 Hunden anreisen durften.

Sehr schön und sehr liebe Gastgeber

Aus einem ungeplanten Umstand heraus sind wir einen Tag früher angereist. Laurence und Michel haben uns sogar Unterkunft in ihren Privaträumen angeboten. Das Haus war dann sehr schnell für uns hergerichtet worden und wir hatten eine wunderbare Woche verbringen dürfen. Vielen lieben Dank für eure Gastfreundschaft.

Vorzügliche Ferienwohnung in der Normandie

Super gepflegtes Ferienhaus in guter Lage. Es fehlt an nichts!!! Zum Sandstrand am Omaha-Beach sind es nur wenige Autominuten. Das Ferienhaus hat einen goßzügigen eingezäunter Garten, der unserem Hund sehr gefallen hat. Der Service und das Ambiente sind einfach wunderbar gewesen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Fantastische Woche

Wir haben eine fantastische Woche in der Normandie verbracht. Das Haus ist super schön und hat einen tollen grossen Garten auf 2 Ebenen, ideal für Hundebesitzer wie uns. Die Anreise klappte perfekt, der Nachbar Michel der das vor Ort managed gibt auch gute Tipps für die Gegend. Der kleine Strand ist in 10 min zu erreichen, ideal, um dort abends noch ein Gläschen Wein zu geniessen, denn man hat ihn praktisch für sich. Omaha Beach ist auch nicht weit, aber das Haus hat auch darüber hinaus eine tolle Lage, man kann Zahlreiches von dort unternehmen. Im Nachbardorf Port en Bessin gibt es Lebensmittelgeschäfte und Restaurants. Wir können das Haus sehr empfehlen, wir würden jedenfalls wiederkommen.

Frühlingsurlaub in der Normandie

Angenehmer Aufenthalt in sehr schönem Haus. Keine Schränke im Obergeschoss vorhanden. Beheizung bei geringen Außentemperaturen nur über Holzofen und begrenzt über E-Strahler möglich.

Traumhafter Urlaub

Die alte Schmiede wurde liebevoll restauriert und modernisiert. Es fehlte nichts: ein wunderschönes Haus mit verwunschenem Garten mitten im Ort und dabei fußläufig der lokale Strand erreichbar. Omaha Beach nur ca. 5min per Auto, d.h. beste Vorraussetzungen für Badeurlaub. Aber auch für kulturelle und historische Ausflüge ist der Ort ideal. Ein rundum perfekter Urlaub bei 2 Wochen Sonnenschein. Vielen Dank dafür :-)
