The Space:
This quiet and spacious villa has spectacular views over surrounding areas, Hvítá river and mountains. Perfect setting for the Northern Lights during the winter months.

The Villa is located on the in the Kiðjaberg area only a few minutes from the Kiðjaberg golf club and around 45 minute drive from Reykjavík. The location is ideal to explore the south coast and do day tours throughout the area including the Golden Circle, Kerið, Flúðir, Þingvellir, Black Sand Beach and Seljalandsfoss.

The Villa is brand new and accommodates 8 people in 4 bedrooms and has 2 full bathrooms. Highest quality beds and plenty of closet space. Everything within the Villa is top of the line from home appliance to tiles and wooden panels. The apartments interior was designed by one of Icelands most renowned interior designer in Iceland.

Kitchen – Top of the line interior design, European wood cabinetry, professional series kitchen appliances. Includes dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster oven, electric kettle, microwave and all the cookware necessary to make a gourmet meal.

Bedrooms - Highest quality king and queen size beds along with plenty of closet space.

Bathroom - Italian tiles, exceptional lighting, whole stone sinks and walk in showers.

Laundry room - Top of the line clothes washer and dryer

Patio - Huge patio with a outdoor shower and a jacuzzi, exceptional views of the sunset and Northern Lights.

Cots, cribs, high seats and other children/baby furniture are available upon request.

The guest has access to the whole villa as well as parking. The villa comes with free wifi.

We are ALWAYS available for you for any matter.

A small grocery store and restaurant can be found in Þrastalundur about 10-15 minutes from the Villa and the town of Selfoss is 25 minutes away.

The views and location are AMAZING!!!

The villa is perfect!! Location, views, layout, amenities, just everything! The pictures do not come close to actually being there and seeing it yourself. The views of the water and sunset were spectacular. The house itself is very well appointed and I am buying the same coffee maker for myself! We easily drove 30 minutes or so in every direction of the villa to all the amazing waterfalls, craters, beaches, and more around the golden circle of Iceland. We spent the evenings on the massive deck watching the northern lights and marveling at the complete void of sound there! I hope we can return someday!

Traumhafter Urlaub. Das Haus war einfach nur Fantastisch. Sehr gemütlich und viel Platz für uns alle. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage des Hauses einfach Traumhaft. Wir würden dieses Haus sofort wieder mieten.

Beautiful home in great central location

The Viking Home was so very accommodating for three adult travelers on our first visit to Iceland. We specifically wanted to stay away from Reykjavik and this was a perfect location for the numerous activities we chose. The home has every amenity you could think of with a beautiful view in natural surroundings. The renters were available to answer any questions we had before and during our stay. The home is extremely comfortable and we loved returning each day to make a fire in the wood fireplace creating such cozy evenings. We couldn’t have asked for more for our first visit to Iceland. We even caught about 45 minutes of incredibly beautiful northern lights just off the front walkway; gorgeous is an understatement! The house is in an excellent location as a jumping off point to lots of locations. The town of Selfoss is about a 20 minute drive away and has at least 2-3 great markets, lots of bakeries and coffee shops and restaurants; everything you could need. We absolutely loved our stay at the Viking Home. Thank you for everything!
