Whether coming to fish(Bass Master Champions have stayed with us) beautiful lake Guntersville or simply needing to get away from it all, relax and unwind in one of our beautiful cabins across the street from the lake on Chalakee Ranch! Peaceful setting nestled along the woods and still just 5 minutes from town, shopping, restaurants, and for the fisherman, boat launch and most weigh ins are less than a mile away. A perfect setting to just get a way from it all on a working Paso Fino Horse ranch. Cabins beautifully appointed. Come just to read and unwind, fish, boat,enjoy the wild life, and enjoy the horses( Equine Experience available for additional charge) You can even bring your horse and enjoy all the wonderful trails Guntersville has to offer.(and fido is welcome too)
Special occasion, we will do our best to accomodate your ready to grill, flowers, balloons, want to make your occasion special.
Easy in and out for boats and trailers, electrical hook ups to charge boats, stalls available to rent for horses

This is a wonderful little cabin tucked away on a horse farm right off of Lake Guntersville. The cabin itself was welcoming and cozy. We booked this for our weekend get-away anniversary trip and brought the pup along with us. The city of Guntersville is just across Browns Creek, with shops, food, and things to do only a short drive away. We also received 10% off the local restaurant that the host also owns, which was fantastic for our anniversary dinner (ask the host about the restaurant!). Unfortunately the Wi-Fi went out due to a recent storm and cellular service is poor on the farm, but was not an issue for us as we wanted somewhat of a disconnected weekend anyway! I also brought the bass boat along - easy driveway to maneuver and there is an electrical outlet for charging batteries between the cabins.

Great cabin for the perfect getaway on an active horse ranch, with lake and pond steps away. Felt quiet and secluded, yet just minutes from town and only 45 min from Huntsville. Host were fast to respond and gave great local recommendations. On site staff were also very friendly. Would highly recommend!

Anniversary trip

We wanted a cozy little getaway for our anniversary. It was very cozy and close to the water. Plenty of room for the pups to run and lots of local activities and great places to eat. It was a lovely trip.

Great location and cabin. It’s close enough to town that everything I needed to do was still convenient but still secluded enough that I didn’t have to worry about running out into the street or bothering anyone. Will def stay again.

Quite and convenient

Property is peaceful with convenience to water and places to eat as well as shop. Enjoy the fact that it is pet friendly. Pollen was heavy on the porch and seats but it is that time of the season. Did enjoy the quiet time and communication with the hostess. Will stay again.

Cozy Guntersville cabin on a Horse Ranch - Where the Mountains meet the Lake

This small cabin was beautiful on the inside with good enough A/C and comfortable beds. The parking was great for our truck and bass-boat. The host gave us great advice on nearby boat ramps, restaurants, and fun things to do. We will be back to stay again.

The definition of pastoral. Quaint 1BR cabin nestled in a tree lined valley on a horse farm with a goose-filled pond. If you need some peace and quiet this is a place for you. Oh, and Guntersville Lake is right across the street! Give it a try - Anita, the host is great!

Cozy Cottage

Pastoral setting. The screen porch and outdoor BBQ area overlooks horses grazing on the same property. Mike checked in on us as we were unpacking and gave us information and offered help if any need arose. For the 2 of us the cottage was the perfect size and had all the boxes checked for a comfortable 2 night stay (that was ours) or longer. We enjoy quiet and less crowds and this was the right place for us.

Tranquil Setting

What a wonderful place to unplug and unwind. We found the cabin clean and neat, but the location was the absolute selling point of this place. To look out the windows and see the pastures with horses, so quiet, and right across the street from the Lake. I enjoyed my morning walks across the street to watch the sun rise, and petting the horses that came the fence as I walked by. However, it's close to everything - we visited Cathedral Caverns, and went ziplining at Guntersville State Park. It's close to great places to eat like Craw-Mamas and Brick Bar and Grill. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Guntersville.
