The Neighbourhood
Our villa is centrally located in the heart of Southsea, 100 metres from Albert Road and its array of coffee shops, restaurants and bars. The Kings Theatre is literally at the end of the street. The beach and Southsea promenade are within 15 minutes walk. For shopping, we have Palmerston road 10 mins walk away, and Gunwharf Quays 20 mins walk (£4 in a taxi).
Or for a great day out you can visit one of Portsmouths many tourist attractions. Don't miss the Historic Dockyard, home of Lord Nelson's flagship Victory and the impressive Mary Rose exhibition.
If you have a head for heights, a ride up to the glass floor at Spinnaker tower is fun. The views across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight are stunning.
The Island is just a short hop away, aboard the world's only commercial hovercraft service. Departures are every 10 minutes for the 10 minute 'flight' to Ryde.
Getting Around
There is one off-road parking space and I will leave enough permits for your stay for any extra cars to park on the road.
Being centrally located, most places are walking distance.
There are good rail-links to London Waterloo, Victoria and Gatwick, all of which take approximately 1.5 hours.
The local area is well served by buses. Taxis, including Uber are probably the most convenient. Fares are roughly 3 or 4 pounds to anywhere in town.
