Carriage House Charmer

Fairland Farm is located on County Route 21, Kinderhook, 20 min. from Hudson, NY and 2.5 hours from New York City. Fairland Farm produces organic vegetables, and is located in scenic Columbia County - the gem of upstate New York.

The carriage house has a private entrance with parking. Under normal conditions, guests may access the pool during the hours of 6:00a.m.-10:00p.m. There is no lifeguard on duty and all children should be supervised by parents / guardians. *HOWEVER, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in progress, guests will not be allowed access to the pool/pool area until further notice. If visiting during growing season, Fairland Farm organic vegetables will be available to you!

This is a working farm and my law practice is within 1.5 miles of the farm, making me readily available should you require assistance.

Both the Village of Kinderhook and the greater Town of Kinderhook offer a variety of eateries, small shops, and roadside farm stands, as well as the expected, and more familiar, retail establishments such as grocery stores, banks, churches, and car repair shops. However, Kinderhook is a rural community with a multitude of working farms and you should expect, during growing season, to see and smell, all that entails.

Beautiful farm, beautiful countryside

My husband and two teenage kids and I had wonderful week in Kinderhook. Bill was warm, welcoming, and very attentive to our needs. The farm is quiet and picturesque, with stunning views of the Catskills and a fantastic swimming pool. We enjoyed the quaint towns in Columbia County, the Berkshires and Greene County, and took a hike in the Catskills. Best of all were the farm stands and farmer's markets, overflowing with corn, tomatoes, onions, peaches and plums.

A great family weekend

Bill and his family were gracious guests and left us with everything we could need - even some sweet treats for the kids! The farm is lovely and our 2 young children had a nice time exploring it.

A quiet getaway in the country

Bill’s Carriage House was a wonderful apartment for my family to stay at over Thanksgiving. Bill was very easy to communicate with before and during their stay. The layout was great, with two side by side bedrooms, a comfortable, well-furnished living room and a large, well-appointed eat in kitchen. Located on the second floor of a separate building on a large farm, the apartment is quiet and serene. I would recommend the Carriage House for future stays.

Cozy Country Get Away

The Carriage House is a cozy landing spot for exploring all of Columbia County. The rental is a well-stocked apartment with two bedrooms and a large kitchen located on a working farm. Guests have use of the onsite owners gorgeous pool and pool house, and can walk the grounds of their beautiful farm. The Carriage House is located a few minutes outside the charming town of Kinderhook. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. Our party of 4 really enjoyed our stay. I thought it was a great value, and would be happy to stay again.

Bill was very welcoming. The farm is beautiful, beautiful. I loved just walking around. The accommodations are clean and comfy. The pool was refreshing and nice (saline, no chlorine). They have nice touches everywhere: beach towels for the pool, great supplies in the bathroom in case you forgot anything, and a thoughtful (welcoming) collection of food in the pantry and fridge.

The house was clean, comfortable and quiet. It was. stocked with all the essentials, and more. The beds were comfortable and the house very easily fit 4 people.
