⭐ Our Story
Casa Alexandra has been part of our family since the summer of 2007, when my parents, Pat and Eric, together with my Aunt Eileen, fell in love with Xàtiva while visiting relatives in the area.
After retiring, they sold their home in England and fulfilled a lifelong dream of moving to Spain. They spent seven wonderful years here, making lifelong friends, embracing the Spanish way of life and enjoying the sunshine before deciding to return to the UK to be closer to their three sons, one of whom is me!
As a family, we simply couldn't bear to part with Casa Alexandra, so we decided to keep it. Today, I'm fortunate to look after the villa with my wife, Isidora (Isi), and our wonderful housekeeper, Debbie, who has been an invaluable part of the Casa Alexandra family for many years.
Together, we've continued to care for and improve the villa, always with the same love and pride that my parents had when they first bought it. We hope you'll feel that warmth from the moment you arrive.

Why they chose this property
⭐Xàtiva is a beautiful, vibrant historic town of around 40,000 people and was once the capital of the Kingdom of Valencia. We had never even heard of it until my sister moved here. She had originally planned to settle in Dénia, but was persuaded to look further inland.
The moment she discovered Xàtiva, she fell in love with it, and when we came to visit, so did we.
We wanted to experience the real Spain rather than a busy tourist resort, and Xàtiva offered everything we had been looking for. It has wonderful restaurants, cafés, beautiful architecture, fascinating history and, above all, a genuine sense of community. Local traditions are still celebrated with enormous pride, from the spectacular Fallas festival in March to the magical Three Kings celebrations in January and the beautiful Easter processions.
Originally founded by the Romans, Xàtiva has been shaped by its abundant natural springs, which still provide fresh drinking water today. You'll often see local people filling bottles from the town's many fountains. Towering above the town is its magnificent hilltop castle, with breathtaking views across the surrounding countryside.
One of the things we love most is the atmosphere. On warm summer evenings, families gather in the squares, cafés remain busy late into the night and children play while grandparents chat with friends. It has a warmth and sense of community that reminds you how life used to be.
The surrounding countryside is equally beautiful. Orange and olive groves stretch across the valley beneath dramatic mountains, with peaceful walking trails, quiet rivers and abundant wildlife. A visiting friend once counted 22 different bird species from our garden in a single morning. Yet despite its peaceful setting, the Mediterranean beaches are only 30 minutes away.
Even after all these years, we still feel incredibly fortunate to have discovered this hidden gem. We hope you'll fall in love with Xàtiva just as we did.
What makes this property unique
⭐ The moment we first saw Casa Alexandra, we knew it was different. During our search, so many villas seemed to offer little more than concrete terraces and tiled verandas, whereas Casa Alexandra was surrounded by beautiful, mature gardens, wide lawns and established planting. It immediately felt peaceful, welcoming and somewhere we could truly call our home in Spain.
As a large family, we also needed plenty of space. We wanted somewhere that could comfortably accommodate family and friends whenever they came to visit, and Casa Alexandra has always done exactly that. No matter who was staying, there always seemed to be room for everyone.
One of the features we particularly loved was the split-level design. It creates generous shared spaces where everyone can come together, while also allowing two families—or different generations—to enjoy their own privacy whenever they want a little time to themselves.
Over the past fifteen years, Casa Alexandra has become far more than just a holiday home. Every year we've continued to improve it, adding thoughtful touches, modern comforts and family-friendly facilities while carefully preserving the character that made us fall in love with it in the first place.
Together with my parents and our wonderful house manager, Debbie, we've always looked after Casa Alexandra with genuine love and pride. We hope that when you arrive, you'll feel that it's not simply another villa to rent, but a home that's been created to be shared and enjoyed by others.
