Acorn Cottage is one of a row of eight terraced cottages, formerly owned by the author Beatrix Potter, on the outskirts of Conistion in the Lake district. The property has three bedrooms; two doubles and a single, sleeping five guests. The property also has a family bathroom, a shower room, a kitchen/diner and a sitting room with a woodburning stove. Outside is ample off-road parking and an enclosed garden with lawn, patio and furniture. Acorn Cottage offers a tranquil base for a Lake District holiday.
Amenities: Electric heating with woodburning stove. TV, selection of books and WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Patio and shared lawned garden with furniture, privately owned shed for storage. One well-behaved pet. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 3 miles, Pub 1.5 miles. Please Note: This property is on a private water supply. Please Note: As this is a country property wi fi speeds are high enough for web browsing but may not be high enough for gaming , due to the property location there is no mobile phone signal. The property does have a landline.

For watersports enthusiasts, the quiet lake is ideal for dinghy sailing and canoeing, whilst the less active can enjoy a leisure cruise on the beautiful steam yacht 'Gondola’. Nearby attractions include the award-winning village of Hawkshead, home of the Beatrix Potter Gallery, Brantwood, the former home of John Ruskin, Tarn Hows, one of the most visited beauty spots in the country and Esthwaite Water, famous for its fishing.
