The house was perfect for our group. We had a 90 yo couple with us and the access to the house & two master suites on the ground level was great. The feel of the house was warm & welcoming- there were even some hydrangeas in a vase from the bush on the kitchen counter (my favorite flowers) Would definitely recommend this house & look forward to another visit
Great house with plenty of room and seating. Not sure the cleaning company did a thorough job cleaning as it didn’t look like a good clean job was done. The table was sticky and my daughter found used contacts on the floor. That didn’t ruin our time though. It was an awesome trip and we would definitely rent this property again. The owner responded immediately to any questions I emailed her.
This is a wonderful property with lots of room. The house was extremely clean and equipped with all the convivences to make your stay comfortable. Don't overlook this place if you're looking for a place around Lake Junaluska.
Wonderful home- great layout for teens and our toddler. Beautiful setting, friendly neighbors, cooking essentials were all there and plenty of seating to eating and visiting. Very responsive host!

Awesome Easter Weekend
The home on Littleton was better than we could have imagined, it was wonderful. The house has plenty of room so that you do not feel like you are on top of each other (we had 4 adults and 1 child). The layout of the bedrooms and family room are genius with plenty of comfortable recliners, rocking chairs, a comfy sofa and a dining room table that seats 8 with plenty of elbow room. The house sits on a quiet street with not much traffic with a less than 5 minute drive to be at the lake. The house is dog friendly. You would never know that dogs had stayed in the home prior to your stay, it was very well cleaned and maintained. The back deck is secure on all sides allowing dogs to enjoy their freedom of not being on a leash (if they are big enough to not fit through the spacing on the deck railing, my husbands service dog is of medium size, about 35lbs). The owner was grecious and accomidated our requests for an early check-in/late check-out. There were plenty of activities over the weekend to keep all of us busy. The 5K, The Easter Egg Hunts, both Sunrise & Traditional church services, Easter morning & afternoon buffets and a beautiful Spring Day walk around Lake Junaluska. We created lots of memories and have declared that staying at Lake Junaluska will now be our new Easter Tradition. Thank you to the owners for allowing us to stay in your wonderful home.
The Wolfe/Campbell Families
Our family had a wonderful 3-day weekend again this year! The home was immaculately clean, well-appointed, and very comfortable with two master bedrooms on the first floor, plus seating for 8 at the dining room table and in the living room area. The host is a great communicator and takes pride in the house and the care and condition of their home.
The house is well appointed (with everything you need for a home away from home) and close to the lake. The beds are super comfortable, and the owner was great to work with. If you are planning a trip to the area, this is a comfy and nice place to stay.
Our family had a wonderful week at Lake Junaluska staying at this property. Kathy was easy to communicate through the rental process. We would be more than willing to stay in this location again.
Overall, our experience was great, and Kathy was very communicative and quite amenable! The only thing that I would have appreciated a heads up on was the fact that she has a permanent tenant in the basement. That said, we barely noticed that he was on the property at all. Check in and check out was super easy, and the area is relatively quiet. Heads up- make sure that you bring your own towels and linens unless you don't mind doing some laundry during your stay. All in all, I 10/10 recommend for a nice family getaway.
This home was charming, comfortable, and spacious enough for our 7 adults and 1 toddler. It was well equipped with everything needed for our family's Christmas gathering! We invited guests for dinner and there was space in the dining area to add a card table (we brought the table) so that 12 people could eat together. Kathy was very responsive and helpful when we had questions. Our toddler enjoyed the near-by playground and adults enjoyed the almost 3-mile walk around the Lake. Lake Junaluska is always a peaceful, beautiful place to visit regardless of the time of year. We would stay here again!
We enjoyed our stay at Lake Junaluska. The home was cozy, clean, and well appointed. Beds and furniture were comfortable. We had a great stay and would stay here again. Highly recommended!
Every year, my three sisters and their spouses celebrate our family with a reunion in a rented home centrally located to our home addresses. Of the many places we have stayed, our weekend at Lake Junaluska was our best experience. The home was beautifully appointed, spacious (and including two ground floor master suites for our older sisters and partners), warm and inviting for sharing conversations in a cozy circle in comfortable living room seating, and our host, Kathy, was immediately responsive in all communications -- offering flexibility in all details, including our rebooking after Hurricane Helene. The Lake Junaluska area is beautiful, especially the overlooks across the lake and mountains and the well-used paved walking/running tour around the lake. Beautiful and so relaxing. We highly recommend this home and will definitely be back next year!
Very comfy and roomy spot to enjoy Lake Junaluska, Waynesville, with easy access to Great Smokey Mountains NP. Plenty of room for our group of 8. House well equipped and host very responsive.
We enjoyed our stay so much - the weather was a great break from the heat and humidity in Florida. The house is comfortable and convenient to all Lake J has to offer; downtown Waynesville is less than 15 minutes away.
This was our second stay at this home and our seventh vacation at Lake Junaluska. We like the space, everyone has their own room and a connecting bathroom. The dog friendly policy allows my Dad to bring his traveling companion which is a huge consideration in getting our whole family together. The walking distance to Lake Junaluska is of course the biggest draw. I can't say enough about how much we all love Lake Junaluska. A truly special place for respite and renewal!!

Liked: Cleanliness, communication
Good enough, if you are okay with a man in basement and lots of pet dander.
The size is good, but the level of pet dander made some in our group uncomfortable. We don't like the idea of bringing our own linens. It's an older house, and showing some wear. We like the natural light. In the upstairs bed rooms, we had trouble finding a comfortable temperature for sleeping. We had children with us, and don't like the idea of having a man in the basement.
We traveled to Lake Junaluska for a conference and ordination. Kathy communicated well leading up to our check-in. She answered questions, provided thorough details, and responded quickly to communication both prior to and during our stay. This home is lovely and was a comfortable place to land for a week. We would definitely return in the future.

About the host
Hosted by Kathy Rentz
I grew up at Lake Junaluska, and while Cincinnati, Ohio, has been my hometown for over 30 years now, it has been a lifelong dream of mine to own a property in NC where so many of my favorite memories were made. At last I got my chance, and I couldn't be happier with my Lake Junaluska getaway! Many thanks to my husband, Dave, for supporting this big life step. We hope you have a great time at the place and learn to love Lake Junaluska and the Waynesville area as much as our family does.
