Our quaint cabin offers both a rustic and modern feel and is just 25 feet from the shore of AuTrain Lake for a breathtaking view. It's also 3.5 miles from the most beautiful beach on Lake Superior where the river empties into the great lakes largest body of water. The North Country Trail crossing is just south a half mile for hiking adventures close to the cabin.
Let's not forget the areas biggest attraction, canoeing or kayaking down the slow moving and meandering AuTrain River to Lake Superior. This trip takes approximately three to six hours and area rentals are available.
As the Fall colors take center stage when the cool fall air rolls in, guests will enjoy hiking, kayaking, hunting (duck, grouse, deer) and sharing stories by the camp fire.
In winter as the colors give way to the white powdery snow covered ground, guests will enjoy Alger County's Vally Spur, where you can ski, snowshoe, bike, hike and enjoy nature. About the host
Hosted by owner/property manager
I grew up and still live in Marquette and spent my entire life having fun in Alger County. Let me guide and showcase the excitement you can have with my personal hospitality. Our family owns one the U.P's most popular award winning Italian restaurants, the Casa Calabria. 40 years of serving great food with special service has given us knowledge making folks feel special.
We look forward to and would appreciate the opportunity to serve or cabin guests.
Thanks,
Phil

Why they chose this property
The cabin is in a location between Marquette and Pictured Rocks U.P.'s most visited attraction. With it's location there are countless activities. Lets us know what things we can help with to make your vacation the most memorable.
What makes this property unique
Being on the shore of the most beautiful and quaint AuTrain lake, one of the best in the U.P., and it's surrounding waters and the things to do around the area, makes it one of the best places in American to vacation. The cabin's decks are right on the water so you can get the most enjoyment overlooking AuTrain Lake. The AuTrain River enters the lake a quarter mile south and exits the lake 2 miles to the northwest where you can canoe or kayak to Lake Superior, or explore up river as well. The many USFS roads are just to the south where you can drive a car and explore for miles in the Hiawatha National Forrest. It's absolutely beautiful!! Spring fishing in AuTrain our Munising Bay offers fantastic coho, steelhead, lake trout, brown trout, and whitefish and is just a short drive to access boat launches on Lake Superior with room to park your boat at our cabin. In the summer, you can access these same places for THE BEST Lake Superior boating, and explore Grand Island's Murry and Trout Bays, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and AuTrain Bay.
