Close to town, this vacation home is nestled in the beautiful Hiawatha National Forest and situated on 100' of sandy beach frontage on Powell Lake, a spring fed lake.

Recreational trails (biking, hiking and snowmobile), excellent hunting and fishing are within 50' of the home or venture out and explore the hundreds of other lakes, streams and waterfalls that surround you.

Many have relished in the beautiful summers, viewed the breathtaking fall colors or enjoyed winter recreation in Munising, known as the midwest capital for snowmobiling, cross country skiing and ice fishing.

Everything about this trip was amazing. The hosts were quick to respond to my questions and the house is exactly as advertised. This was our second stay and we especially love the kayak, the master bedroom, the beautiful deck, and the location - isolated, but not too isolated. 10/10 highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home! There was plenty of room for our group of eight to spread out, and having three bathrooms made getting ready each day so much easier.Some of my favorite parts were waking up in the master bedroom to see the sunrise each morning and sitting on the deck listening to the loons in the morning. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of utensils, bowls, and pans. You may just want to bring a few extra paper towels and toilet paper.Joe and Erin were quick to respond to any questions we had and were very helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Had a lovely stay in this wonderful house for a week. We enjoyed being only 20 minutes away from Munising and Pictured Rocks, but being on the pretty lake made us happy to have some relaxing stay home days as well. There's a kayak, paddle boat and row boat. We fished and swam off the dock. Very quiet lake. Only the occasional kayak or slow moving pontoon boat the week we were there.The house itself was great! VERY clean. The beds were all comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. Water pressure in the showers was weak, but that's probably to be expected with a house on a lake. The house doesn't have AC, but that was no problem at all. In fact, it was a little chilly even though it was August.

Great property! The refrigerator is large. Three full bathrooms were great for a large group. The furniture and beds were comfortable. Plenty of room around the fire pit. The water was very clear. Peaceful! Would stay here again.

Lovely spot for our trip!

This was a perfect spot for our trip to the UP. We wanted to focus on the Pictured Rocks area, and this cottage was in the perfect location. The sunrises over the lake from the master bedroom were beautiful! The lake was a perfect size for our paddleboards and to use the kayak and pedal boat provided. Thanks to the hosts for a lovely stay!

Great Get Away

We can’t say enough about this place! It was exactly what we needed for our group! Everything was clean and so well stocked. Communication with the property owner was quick and easy. We had such a great experience, we will definitely be back again!

Great place

Plenty of room for our family. House was nice and kitchen had everything we needed. Location was very convenient for pictured rocks. Don't let the lack of AC scare you away from this gem. Shaded lot and cool UP temps it was very comfortable!

We enjoyed our stay close to all the sites near Munising.

We visited many local falls, took a day trip to Macinac Island and enjoyed paddle boarding, kayaking, and fishing on Powell lake. We even met a few of the people who live on the lake while fishing. Great neighbors and community to stay. Bring bug spray, the bugs can be a nusance but overall our stay was fantastic! Would recommend an air conditioning unit for both of the upper floors in the summer but everything was to our liking otherwise.

Wonderful Home, Great Views.

We very much enjoyed our stay in your beautiful home. The views were outstanding, really love the sunrise over the lake from the master bedroom. The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking in. The home was very convenient to Munising and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Would highly recommend this home.

Great Time!

We had a great time at this property. Location was great for visiting picture rocks and many other attractions. Beds were super comfortable and house was well supplied with everything we needed. The kids loved the lake and use of the paddle boat, kayak, and lily pad. They could have just stayed and played at the property the whole time. Would recommend 👌

A week of heaven

This was a very nice place to stay. There were small issues like drawers missing knobs but overall good. Just a small note regarding safety-rails in bathrooms and both sides of stairway would help. Floor boards on front entryway were loose and and a real falling hazard. 20 years ago wouldn’t have mentioned this but now a fall could end a great trip.

Beautiful location

We really enjoyed our stay! Beautiful house overlooking the lake. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. Only complaint, there were no shampoo, conditioner, or soap in the showers. Only 2 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom and 1 partial roll of paper towel in the kitchen. We didn’t find kitchen towels so we ran out. I hope this was something the cleaning lady forgot to stock. We brought fans because the temp was in the 90’s. Would have been nice if they provided a few. Overall we would stay here again. Close to Muinsing/Pictured rocks.
