Great location, property does need some TLC
We stayed at this property for a week with another family. The pros are that the location is wonderful, it is very spacious with lots of beds, and the kitchen was very well stocked. The cons are that the property is in need of some care. There is a major moisture issue in the house, Made it very uncomfortable with both the smell and mold. The mattresses are all extremely uncomfortable as well. We tried to use the grill the second night we were there and it was so coated in grease and grime that it caught on fire and was unusable for the entire week. Overall, it is a charming property and a great location, but we would not stay there again in its current condition.

U.P getaway.
We enjoyed our stay at the Point! The view was wonderful! We were close to many trails and waterfalls and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in general. The water of course was cold, it is Lake Superior! We were able to swim both at the cottage and we particularly enjoyed Miner’s Park. The dock at the cottage could use a ladder for getting out of the water. Water shoes made getting out somewhat easier. The bedrooms were roomy and closets were large. The kitchen itself was a little small , the dining area however was roomy. As is stated in the description, the house is built on a rock. The drop off at the edge is quite high . We had an autistic 4 year old in our group, we always kept the doors locked when we were inside and had him firmly in hand when headed to the shoreline. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would come again if we wanted to come to the UP.

Excellent family vacation!
A wonderful four generation family vacation, age 6 to 91! My parents enjoyed the views from the bedroom, family room and dinning room. The outdoor deck was especially nice for them to participate in family games and watch the young ones play volleyball and badminton in the backyard. The bedrooms were spacious. The property is amazing, very secluded, private and peaceful. Be sure to check out the tree growing of a rock that had split in two, forming a small canyon. We had a campfire in the firepit almost every night. With some care, my parents were able to climb the stairs down to the dock. We had rented a pontoon boat and was able to dock at the house to load and unload, a wonderful feature of this house. Wish we could stay longer!

Beautiful!
The Point was beautiful, the property and view were amazing! My communication with the Host Sarah was most helpful; she was pleasant and responded quickly! All the kitchen staples that were provided were great and certainly much more than I imagined; spices, coffee, filters, etc. The area was beautiful and lots of outdoor stuff to do. We even were blessed with the appearance of two bald eagles flying over the property! There were only a few minor things that shouldn't stop you from staying here; primarily there were no curtains in the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom in the main house, and in the cottage I would suggest providing instructions on how to turn on the heater/stove and adjust the temperature on the hot water heater. Again, nothing major and don't hesitate to stay there! The main house and cottage were great!
