Sunrise Beach is a rare and unforgettable Lake Superior retreat, located just 5 miles west of Munising and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. This authentic log cabin sits on 10 wooded acres with direct access to a wide, sugar-sand beach, offering breathtaking views of Grand Island and Lake Superior right outside your door.

Sunrise Beach is a seasonal property, available for rentals from mid-May through October.

This is truly a “location, location, location” property — the beach is literally steps from the cabin, creating a peaceful, private setting that feels like having your own stretch of Lake Superior shoreline.

The cabin features three bedrooms and two bathrooms, providing comfortable accommodations for families or small groups. Sleeping arrangements include king-size beds and a bunk room, making it ideal for couples, families, or friends traveling together.

Inside, you’ll find the warm charm of an authentic rustic log cabin, paired with modern comforts. The cabin includes:

A full kitchen for preparing meals

A cozy gas fireplace for cool evenings

Two TVs with streaming service

Wi-Fi internet to stay connected if needed

The screened porch is a favorite spot for morning coffee, evening relaxation, and listening to the waves roll in from the beach. Outside, enjoy a fire pit, expansive sandy shoreline, and the peaceful sounds of Lake Superior.

Sunrise Beach is ideally located just minutes from Munising and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, making it easy to enjoy the area’s most iconic attractions while returning each evening to the privacy of your own sandy beach. Popular activities nearby include Pictured Rocks boat cruises, hiking to waterfalls and scenic overlooks, kayaking, exploring Lake Superior beaches, and scenic drives. The surrounding area also offers local dining, shops, and seasonal events, all within a short drive.

A casino, restaurant, and gas station are located approximately 2 miles away on M-28, making it easy to pick up essentials or enjoy a quick meal without driving into town.

The location on Lake superior is absolutely beautiful. The cabin is in a quiet community where you have privacy. You can fall asleep to the waves on Lake Superior. The cabin is well furnished and clean. Great experience!

We went to the location in Christmas for a late summer family gathering. The cabin was so roomy and had all the amenities we needed and more! The location is so private , surrounded by woods yet opens up to the bay off of Lake Superior with a sandy beach. So beautiful!

Easy to find, close to Munising, Au train and other attractions. The house had a great layout, view of Lake Superior, beach and sunrises from the living and the bedrooms. The beach was awesome.

Great winter getaway

We stayed over Christmas and New Year’s and had a great time. The property is very secluded and private. Perfect for long walks, hiking and certainly the lake is great. We loved it and will be back. Lisa was super helpful and everything worked out perfectly!

The cabin was perfect for our family. The private beach was amazing and views was spectacular, enjoyed the fire pit cooked s’mores. The check in process was easy and owner made everything easy and communication was above average. The gift basket and of bread and blueberry jam was a nice gesture we appreciated everything about the property We highly recommend this cabin, we definitely will will be back

Great floor plan.

This rental was extremely clean and quite private. There are two primary bedrooms with their own full bathrooms on either side of the house separated by a great room. This makes an excellent set up for two adult couples. The kitchen is great for entertaining with newer appliances. Great home!

A weekend getaway!

This property is gorgeous! We loved the private beach. The lake is so clear. The water is cold but the kiddos didn't care. They had so much fun on the beach and in the water. The house was very comfortable for the 7 of us. The location is great! We went to the pictured rocks, a couple of waterfalls and the sand dunes. We would definitely like to return someday!

Amazing Location and Communication

The location was absolutely incredible and exactly what my family was looking for. There were some water issues that the property management knew about and had warned us about and they are in the process of fixing but was a bit frustrating. Quick Getaway

We made a last minute decision to getaway for a long weekend and we couldn’t be more pleased than to spend it at the cabin! The cabin is on the older side but it has been well maintained and is very comfortable. Lisa was a great and attentive host and we would definitely recommend and book again in the future. Our 3 year old has been asking all week when we can go back. Thank you for sharing with us!
