Warm inviting cabin located in Au Train, Michigan. Look out your window and watch the gentle river flow, or better yet, sit on the large covered porch. Either way, you won't be farther than 50 feet from the water. If you're looking for adventure, this area has it all. Hiking biking, ATV's, snowmobile trails right down the road. But this river is known for its kayak and canoeing. It stretches nearly 7 miles, yet you end up 0.5 miles from where you started. Fish in the river or head up to Au Train lake. The lake is great for water sports, bird watching or swimming with a sand beach and campground. The sandy shores of Lake Superior are only 1 mile away. Located between Munising and Marquette, Au Train is the perfect place to settle down and enjoy all the U.P. has to offer. Firewood is available for purchase onsite

For the price this place can't be beat! You get everything you could need for your stay in a great location. The house is the last one on a dead end so no traffic with a great view of the river. Only thing we were bummed about was that the sauna wasn't available, but that was a small thing for the great value you get staying here. Hoping to come back next year. Cindy is a very responsive host! Thank you!

This was a great place to stay with easy access to Pictured Rock, Munising, and Marquette. The river was lovely, the beach was close, and the house had plenty of room for us. I would recommend this place to anybody.

We had the best time during our stay! Cabin is comfortable, has every kitchen amenity you could wish for, & the free access to kayaks was a huge plus for us! All of the mattresses were super comfortable. Cindy was a great host & Poe, her dog, was the sweetest! The location can't be beat! We enjoyed kayaking the Au Train River, Brownstone Inn for dinner, Bay Furnace for rock hunting, Capt Ron's Whitefish truck in Munising is a must & Au Train Grocery has the best pasties! Why they chose this property

This property has been a dream of mine for 50 years. I have been enjoying the area and the river in particular with friends and family for as long as I can remember. The setting is so peaceful and beautiful. There is nowhere else in the world I would rather be than right here on the river.

What makes this property unique

Our biggest river cottage easily accommodates up to 13 guests and also includes extra private property with river frontage adjacent to the garage for your use. The cottage has A/C, a full size kitchen with a dining room. The living room is equipped with a 46" HDTV with Netflix and WiFi. Beds include one queen, two full size and five twins, also 1 toddler size bunk bed for the kids. The garage has a sauna, washer dryer, gas grill and space to store your items during your stay. The lot next to the cottage has private river access, campfire ring and picnic table for your use.
