Warm inviting cabin located in Au Train, Michigan. Look out your window and watch the gentle river flow, or better yet, sit on the large covered porch. Either way, you won't be farther than 50 feet from the water. If you're looking for adventure, this area has it all. Hiking biking, ATV's, snowmobile trails right down the road. But this river is known for its kayak and canoeing. It stretches nearly 10 miles, yet you end up 0.5 miles from where you started. Fish in the river or head up to Au Train lake. The lake is great for water sports, bird watching or swimming with a sand beach and campground. The sandy shores of Lake Superior are only 1 mile away. Located between Munising and Marquette, Au Train is the perfect place to settle down and enjoy all the U.P. has to offer.

A cozy cabin in a great location.

The cabin was well stocked and we were able to kayak right out front. We had everything we needed and more.

We enjoyed our stay at the Robins Nest. Very clean and plenty of space. We liked looking out the window and seeing the Au Train river. Great area, we will be returning to the Robins Nest again.

This was such a a cute little cabin and in such a nice place! It's in a nice little community and right by the river. The nearby town is quiet but friendly and it's a short drive to Muninsing. I will definitely consider staying here again next time we are in the area!

Nice place!

Such a nice little place. Beds and pillows were comfortable and so was the couch. Everything was very clean. I loved the view of the river, I could've sat on the porch forever! The cottages are all pretty close together but it was nice and quiet and worked out fine for us. It was nice to be able to bring our dog and we appreciate that the price was reasonable.

It was OK, the coffee maker was inoperable but the host replaced it rapidly. The listing indicated a hair dryer but none was to be found. Bed size said Queen but it’s a full. Porch railing was wobbly but it was repaired before we left. It would be nice if cable TV was available.The host was very accommodating, she brought fresh towels and was friendly. The location probably does not have cable TV available. The internet did work very well.

Awesome Stay

This cozy little cabin was perfect for our first stay in the UP! The host was very sweet and we felt well looked after. Loved that the cabin was off the Au Train river. We were able to just drop in our kayaks and go!

Would not recommend. Check in time delayed one hour, not ready. Water turned off with no notice. Turned back on hours later to be told just run until clear( black mud ). Owner never introduced herself until returned to fine her dismantling and pulling maintenance on entire cottage porch from early afternoon until after 7 p.m. No privacy, drill noise which other cottage guests had to endure.Totally unacceptable . Four lamps not working. Would certainly not revisit or recommend. Did I mention this was our anniversary weekend get away???

Beautiful area

The property was nice! Clean, warm and well equipped with everything but wash cloths and paper towels. The river was very pretty & the surrounding area was nice. We ate at Foggys and they have super nice staff and delicious food! Cindy was responsive and helpful with any questions I had. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect cozy cabin

We had a fantastic time at this cozy and well-equipped cabin. We loved the UP decor of this tidy and inviting accommodation. The check in/out was a breeze! It was so much fun exploring all that the UP has to offer in the winter and we will definitely return this summer to take advantage of the kayaking in the summer.

Beautiful location! We didn't have the gas grill pictured in the photos but there was a charcoal grill and charcoal. It was a great place to do eLearning and go on adventures in the afternoon.

Wonderful weekend stay!

We enjoyed our time while visiting this breathtaking area of Michigan. Took my family waterfall hunting in the area so this was perfectly placed for all the ones close together. We got officially engaged at Scott's falls. Cabin was fully stocked with all necessary needs for cooking bathing and sleeping. You could go with nothing but clothes and a few groceries and be good for the weeknd. Thank you for the beautiful time, we will be back!

Great little getaway

My husband and I rented the Robins Cabin for our honeymoon and met our expectations and exceeded. The cabin is on a nice spot near the river to sit at a table and just relax. Close to near towns to wander and tour around. WiFi was a little wonky but it worked for what we needed. I would rent this spot out again, if/when we come back up.

Our 2nd Time at Robbin's Nest - Another Great Vacation

The property was clean and well stocked, had everything we needed. Nice to relax on the porch, it's near the firepit and has a good view of the river, maybe 30 feet away? There are no closets so we used the 2nd bedroom for our stuff. For 2 people and our dog, it was perfect. We're already booked for next year. Thanks Cindy!

Awesome Cabin on the River

Great location, clean, cozy cabin. Kitchen has lots of "extras" pots, pans, silverware, plates, didn't have to bring any of that, plus it has lots of spices which was really nice! Stove and fridge worked great! Nice and quiet location! Super close to Lake Superior and Munising. Didn't have time to check out the free kayaks, maybe next time! We had great weather, fabulous time, even saw an eagle one night while sitting on the porch! Loved our stay!

Cozy little cabin in a perfect little spot.

We had stayed in Au Train earlier this summer and all I could think about was bringing my kids back to see how beautiful it was. This little cabin was perfect for us, Cindy went above and beyond to make sure everything we might need was supplied, and she is just a sweet person who wants to open her cabin to families and people to enjoy the beauty the U.P. has to offer. My kids had a fantastic time ans we have already booked a week for next aummer! Im counting down the days! Also, my son looooooved the little bunk bed! Cutest thing ever! And I need to find out where the smazinf UP decor came from, i especially loved the license plate pictures. Thank you so much for the perfect little place to lay our heads, we appreciate it so much!

It was great. Easy check in. Lovely location on the river. Amazing. The electric motion couch was so relaxing. Didnt need the air conditioner on, the river was with a nice breeze. Had a campfire. It was great.

This property has been a dream of mine for 50 years. I have been enjoying the area and the river in particular with friends and family for as long as I can remember. The setting is so peaceful and beautiful. There is nowhere else in the world I would rather be than right here on the river.

What makes this property unique

This unit comes fully stocked with everything you need to get away. Just bring food and beverages. The Robin's Nest features wood interior, a queen size bed in the master bedroom and a full size bunk bed set in the second bedroom.There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room for additional sleeping. Cottage has a full size kitchen, full size bathroom, A/C, WiFi, 32" HDTV and Roku.
