Great stay in an amazing house

Property was clean. Communication was great with reseller but also with the pool guy at the location. Communication was in English so for me this is great. Issues were solved.

Excellent property but spoilt by water shortage

The house, location, amenities and facilities are all superb. The position of the house with its stunning views is beautiful. The pool is lovely and the shaded barbecue and eating area are excellent. Beds are comfy with good quality pillows. The area is really lovely, with plenty to see and do. The village of Durban Corbières is a typical small French village, with all basic amenities and is a 10 minute walk (albeit a bit steep on the way back). All our negative scores are related to the water shortage which we suffered and which the village has experienced, worsening every year for the past 4 years. This summer during our stay, the water was cut off at 14.00 every day and did not come back on till 06.00 the next day. However, because of the elevated position of the Villa, we actually did not get water returning till around 10.00 each day, sometimes later. This meant that we had just 3-4 hours water each day, which made life very difficult. We didn’t know about this problem until it was too late to cancel, so our stay, with 6 adults and 3 children under 6, was not easy. We would thoroughly recommend this house, but check if the water problem has been solved. If it has, then you will have a fabulous holiday!

Thanks for the very fair review. For sure the situation in 2024 caught us by surprise, as whilst their had been water restrictions in the previous 3 years, the restrictions this year were stringent due to severe water shortage and compounded by leaks in the system. Previous short lived restrictions had never had any impact on our guests and their stays. I’m pleased to update however, that as a result, we have now commissioned a back up water tank and pump system which kicks in if the local water supply is disrupted, like a back up generator would for electricity! It has been tested and works seamlessly so water supply at the villa will not be a problem moving forward, I can only apologise to Olivia again for the disruption to their holiday but for anyone else, please rest assured that your holiday will not be disrupted in the case of any water restrictions and local authorities are, in any event, working on a longer term solution.

Wij hebben een zeer aangenaam verblijf gehad in Durban-Corbiéres. Het grote terras met overdekte luifel dat een schitterend uitzicht biedt is fantastisch! Hier kan je de hele dag genieten. Ook de omgeving is rustig en zeer mooi. De kastelen van Peyrepertuse en Queribus zijn prachtig. Chez Prano is een zeer leuke bar/restaurant op wandelafstand van de woning. Alle voorzieningen in de buurt.

Superbe séjour

Maison idéale pour un séjour en famille ou entre amis. Nous étions 10 et cette maison correspond parfaitement à cette capacité. Chacun à son espace. L'extérieur est superbe, avec barbecue, piscine , transats et vélos. Nous avons pu profiter à la fois de la piscine et des alentours. Très belle région! Nous n'avons eu aucun problème pendant notre séjour. L'hôte est très réactif. Rien à dire si ce n'est à conseiller cette maison! Merci encore!

Point de vue sur le château superbe. coin repas terrasse avec barbecue très convivial ou nous avons passé notre temps du petit déjeuner au diner. à 40 mn seulement de Leucate et les villages environnants sont à découvrir. on reviendra

Beaucoup aimé la location, maison très confortable, avons surtout apprécié la vue vers le village et son château éclairé la nuit et la terrasse bien abritée. La région est magnifique; A 1 heure de Carcassonne et de Collioure et 3/4 heure des châteaux Cathares et des gorges de Galamus ( A voir absolument ). Jolies Petites routes dans les vignes et les roches . Je conseille.

Magnifique

Emplacement idéal avec vue directe sur le château, qui offre un spectacle différent jour et nuit (éclairage). L'accès au village se fait sans problème à pied par le sentier. Les environs sont propices aux randonnées pédestres et VTT. Merci à Mark pour son service et ses réponses rapides.

Magnifique Villa

La villa est parfaitement équipée et spacieuse, d'une propreté irréprochable. La situation est idéale dans une résidence tranquille au coeur du parc des Corbières avec une vue magnifique dont on ne se lasse pas. Les lits sont tous très confortables et tout est fait pour se sentir comme chez soi ! La communication avec le propiétaire est parfaite. Je recommande à 200% pour des vacances parfaites !
