Luxury Highland Retreat

Tulach Ard House sits within forty acres of private farmland, woodland and foreshore. It is a luxury secluded residence, a place to unwind and get away from stresses of life. With beautiful traditional farm buildings on the farm and the best of Highland wildlife surrounding the house.

The 18th Century listed country house has been beautifully restored by ANTA creating a unique Highland home. Each bedroom offers a different aspect and connection to the surrounding landscape, with views to ancient woodland, misty Skye munros and the private foreshore in front of the house.

The house sleeps 14 in 8 bedrooms. It is perfect for family get togethers, friends gatherings and small weddings or elopements.

The formal garden surrounds the front of the house and as well as formal flower beds there is large lawn area for garden games.

The house manager lives on the farm and is available should you need anything during your stay.

Amazing location and accommodations!!

We loved every moment here! We hosted a wellness retreat that was mixed day trips from the home and days of rest. The place is beautiful inside and out. Amazing location to go for day trips throughout Scotland or perfect to stay and enjoy the serene landscapes. We will be back for sure.

This is a beautiful, spacious home in a gorgeous setting! The caretaker Nina was very polite and responsive. We especially enjoyed the large kitchen, family room and fireplace. The bedrooms and bathrooms were wonderful! The house is in a great location for exploring the Isle of Skye and the area around Kyle of Lochalsh.

Country idyll for a large family

A fabulous property for large groups, on a rocky sea shore that had otters, seals and sea eagles on view, warm and well appointed for a two week stay. Highly recommended for a base for families to explore Skye and beyond. - thank you Stella!

My all-time favorite VRBO

Tulach Ard house is everything I hoped it would be and more. The house and the property were perfect for our summer vacation. Plenty of room indoors and out for children to play, quiet places to read, large tables in both the kitchen and dining area to gather, a lovely warm wood-burning fireplace to enjoy in the evenings, interior design is immaculate. And the view!! It’s just breathtaking day after day. Stella was so easy to get in touch with. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. My next order of business is figuring out when to book our next stay here.

Heaven on Earth

I knew when I saw this listing that it would be absolutely perfect for my women's self-care retreat. I almost hesitated writing this because I was afraid it will be forever booked. :0) It is a beautiful secret place where my heart lives. This place is magical. I can't think of anything that could be done to make it more perfect. I look forward to hosting at least 2 retreats here a year. Great holiday home for large groups

We rented this house for a family reunion. Our group consisted of 11 people ages 7 to 84 (kids, parents and grandparents). We had a fantastic holiday, cooking together most nights on the Aga or BBQ and sightseeing during the day. It was easy to get to Skye, and also to explore up and down the coast, with lots of good restaurants and pubs nearby. Everyone was very comfortable in the house, able to find their own space when needed, and the shared living space was beautiful, looking out over the loch. The kids enjoyed rock pooling by the house. Stella was extremely helpful, including putting us in touch with a local fisherman to buy seafood. This is clearly a much-loved family home and we felt lucky to stay there.

I'll definitely be back!

What a fantasic house. We all absolutely loved it! The owners were so lovely and welcoming and could not do enough for us. My partner and I decided to stay here to get married with our immediate families as our only guests. We got married out the back looking on to the Loch and it was simply spectacular. Stella cooked our meal for us and it was absolutely delicious. I wouldn't change a single thing. Thank you so much for everything!

Idyllic Highland Retreat

Stunning location on the edge of the loch, with views to Skye in the distance. Stylish, comfortable and well appointed. Good walks out of the door. Otters and babies at the end of the beach; curlews overhead. Easy drive to Skye, with an more superb walks, boat trips, and fishing.
