This vacation cabin and cabin rental located in Strawberry near Pinecrest, Pinecrest Lake and Dodge Ridge Ski Resort is spectacular! If you are looking for a large luxury cabin rental ON THE RIVER we think that you will love this cabin! Located directly on the south fork of the Stanislaus river 30 miles east of Sonora, CA on highway 108. Come once, come for a life time!

A cozy, warm, 100% natural pine, 2500 square foot cabin at an altitude of 5200' with all of the amenities of a modern resort! Fully stocked kitchen, five bedrooms, three bath, family room and kitchen nook. Hardwood floors, granite and marble everywhere! Great for larger families! Also has over 1000 square feet of decks for your outside enjoyment! This cabin is so close to the river you can fish from the deck into our own hole!

Also includes satellite TV in three rooms with big screen TVs in two. In the kids bedroom, there is a separate TV just for video games. There are three decks with chairs and tables plus an industrial gas BBQ. Sits on a super private 3/4 of an acre. Look at the pictures, you will be hard pressed to find another
neighbor!

Seven of us stayed here for a couple of days before a backpacking trip. The house (more than a cabin) was roomy and very comfortable for all of us. The location right on the river was amazing, and we even pulled a couple of trout out of the pool right below the house. The house was clean and Jim was very helpful with questions, so the entire stay went without a hitch. Excellent!

Getaway with friends

We had a great time at this property. It was a perfect location for our families. You’re practically on the River. We took a quick drive up to Kennedy Meadows for a hike and then came back to the house to relax.

Great Location

Amazing Stay

The property is very well maintained and in a beautiful location. The river view is amazing and there is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy it. Everything was clean and we had no issues at all. All communications with the owner were detailed and clear. We’ll definitely look up this property for our next stay!

Extremely good communication from host, went above and beyond to make sure the place was well prepared for our stay. House was very clean and well maintained. A Gem

A very comfy cabin in an absolutely stunning setting! It’s rare to find a cabin large enough for our kids and grandkids, and where they can catch trout a few steps from the cabin. It’s a treasure!

Fantastic stay on the river!!!!

It's not easy finding room for 4 families (18 people) but here it is. Not only was there more than enough room, the house was supplied with almost everything we needed. Plenty of privacy, steps to the river, short drive to Pinecrest Lake......it was awesome. Jim Brinner was extremely easy and helpful in every step of the process and I could only hope to always encounter an owner like this in every rental I get in the future. When you drive up and hear the river you begin to smile, but as you get to the entry passage way and see the view, you begin to relax and take it all in. It took 1 hour for someone to ask me if this will become a family tradition.....I think it just might!!

One of a kind beautiful view

This is our second visit to this rental home. A perfect location surrounded by pine trees with the river just steps away. The property has a very private feel to it and the large deck that surrounds the home provides gorgeous views of the river and surrounding mountains. The home itself is large offering three full baths and a myriad of comfy beds to sleep in. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to cook a great meal and plenty of table space to enjoy it. After a full day of skiing at Dodge Ridge (conveniently located just a short distance away) we spent evenings around the toasty gas fireplace watching Direct TV. When we noticed that a remote was missing we notified the owner and he had a brand new one at our door the next morning. Excellent service. Although we are a small family this home would easily accommodate a large group. Highly recommend this rental and we will be back for sure! Catherine

We had an absolutely amazing few days at the Briner cabin. Sitting on the decks with a gorgeous view of the river allows you to relax and unwind. We even saw a family of deer. Hope to be back:)

The riverfront decks were our favorite place to hang out. There were plenty of beds for everyone. The “luxury“ futon may be a bit of an overstatement but overall the house was great for our family of 11 people.

Location, location, vacation!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely cabin. Thanks to the owners for offering their property for others to enjoy.! The cabin is very nicely decorated, beds comfortable, kitchen well stocked for cooking your own meals if preferred. The living room furniture is very nice and comfortable. Now for the best part as far as we were concerned, is the location! Very quiet neighborhood. The river is the highlight.!! So close to the cabin and its soothing sound and views are spectacular. There are 3 levels of decks, all with great views but the best is the lower deck where you are just 8 steps away from the shore.! There is a nice fishing area right there. My husband caught 5 trout (catch and release).All decks have plenty of seating and are the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of nature! There is plenty of room if you have guests with you. I can not recommend this cabin enough and definitely will be back!!

Family get together in Paradise

Woo…What a beautiful, peaceful place. We planned this trip since I have been sick for a while and we wanted to get my family together. I thought Strawberry was the most appropriate place since my mother, me, my children and a few of my grandchildren have spent our summer vacations there going back to 1925. So sharing the memories there is extra special. We were not disappointed. The cabin’s knotty pine interior was very cozy — just like the cabins my family had owned. The sound of the river right off the deck where we had family dinners was just perfect. There was also a smaller patio (still plenty large for 8 -10 people easily) that is just feet from the river where we would just sit, relax or read, I liked just watching and listening to the river. Our Old English Sheep dog was in heaven. We are already talking about another stay this Fall!
