We appreciated prompt and helpful communication with our host, who provided insider tips on dining and travel which resulted in an even better stay. Laundry facilities were great to have at the midpoint of our road trip. Just a great, comfortable stay -- highly recommend!

Delightful! Lovely, quite, comfortable, and very clean. Great location. It is the perfect spot to decompress from all the stress. I can't wait to go back. Extra touches like fresh flowers, extra water and a goodie basket. Looking forward to my next trip.

A beautiful beach cottage that was impeccably decorated. The bed was wonderful, the bathroom beautiful and the shower was great. And did I mention the front patio for sitting and enjoying your morning coffee and evening cocktail?Sabina and David are excellent hosts, so sweet, friendly and welcoming.Book this cottage. Dave and Sabine's place is top notch. The location is great; it's clean and comfortable; check-in and check-out were a breeze; it had all the toiletries, towels, and linens we needed; and to top it off they left some orange juice and milk in the fridge, a gallon of water, other snacks, and beautiful flowers on the table. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

This day is the best stay on the entire Central Valley coast. It’s reasonably priced and all the extra amenities that are provided are so wonderful. We absolutely love staying here. We’ve stayed here six times in the past few years and we will continue to make it our favorite place. The beach is literally steps from the front door of this house and the entire front porch. Amenities are wonderful to sit outside and enjoy the coastal weather.

It is always a pleasure for us to stay at Captain Java. It is a very clean and inviting cottage and is well stocked with amenities. It's just a few steps from the beach which you can see from the eating table inside and from the patio area outside. I love how you can hear the ocean and how close it is to Cayucos, the Morro Bay Embarcadero and San Luis Obispo. That's why we keep coming back to stay, that and the fact that Sabine and David are the best hosts ever. We hated to leave when it was time to go and are looking forward to our stay next year.

This sweet little place was actually nicer in person then they are able to convey in the VRBO listing. Great location for anything in the greater SLO visitation, and lots of little touches that go above and beyond.

What a great place to stay! A fabulous couple’s retreat. Convenient to get to, close to the beach, beautiful and comfortable. Sabine was great host: responsive to questions, accommodating when we needed, provided a lot of nice little extras which was very kind and thoughtful. My partner and I hope we have an opportunity to stay here again soon!

Had a great time! The price was unbeatable, especially for being so close to the ocean. I also enjoyed how close it was to restaurants and the harbor. The property was clean and comfortable. Solo traveler, so I’m a fan of studios. I was happy with the size of the studio and the size of the bathroom. I was also provided with cereal, milk and other goodies. Would stay again! 10/10

We greatly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was appointed so nicely with everything we needed and more. The outdoor kitchen was huge plus. The owners were so kind and welcoming. A short two minute walk to the beach. We loved Morro Bay and all it had to offer. We would 100% stay in this quaint cottage again.

We had an absolutely fabulous stay at this little hidden gem! So much better than a hotel room with incredible proximity to the beach in a quiet location. I would highly recommend this property and the wonderful owners who treated us with great hospitality.
