idyllic stay in the "Portuguese" Algarve

I have stayed in this part of the Algarve several times because it is truly Portuguese and not just another destination for holidaymakers; with great places to visit, great food, lovely vistas and genuine local colour. I carefully selected this property because of this and so that I could quickly settle into my first holiday in three years. I was not disappointed in any way. Jan and Maries property is all as advertised and more, it was very clean, included all that I needed and more, the pool deck was just right with wonderful views (the temperature was just right), and the surrounding gardens and the valley were just lovely. The lower veg and herb gardens were delightful - I did help with slight pruning of the herbs to stuff my fish before I barbequed it, but don't tell anyone! the location is excellent in easy reach of Sao Bras for essentials and some excellent restaurants, the best local bakery in the Algarve (just try their Pastel de Nata) Tavira for itself and the facinating coastline and beaches. What's not to like? Oh! and Jan & Maries are pretty good hosts to, there when you need them with inciteful local knowledge and they obviously care about their chosen life and how they are part of the local life and culture!

prachtige stijl, vriendelijke gastheer, maar we verblijven liever waar het domein geheel van ons is. Beperkt keukenmateriaal.
