Christine, the host was very helpful, we arrived early for checking and she allowed us to leave our luggage in the apartment, until we could go in, the apartment is so local to everything you will need for a stay, cafes bars restaurants all on the doorstep, perfect, the whole apartment was super clean, and although it is on the road, very quiet at night, we loved our stay.

Incredible place and location. Christine (our host) was fabulous. She welcomed us personally and had wonderful suggestions and recommendations. We enjoyed this roomy apartment and its amenities. Great views of Bishops Square off small balconies. Walkable to everything.

Christine was very accommodating about getting us in early after an overnight flight. Her instructions were very helpful.The apartment is on the third floor by North American measure. While very clean, the apartment is not very cozy. For example there is no chair to sit and read in, the couch being very stiff and uncomfortable. It is very well equipped. We appreciated a washing machine and drying rack. There are lots of helpful tourist guides in the apartment and the central location ,right at the Roman bridge could not be better.

Thank you for your kind feedback—we’re so glad you enjoyed the location and amenities. We’re sorry the apartment didn’t feel as cozy as expected. The sofa is a firmer style, which many guests are comfortable with, though we understand that’s a personal preference. For clarity, there are four dining chairs (no separate reading chair), and the apartment is on the second floor, above a ground and first floor.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment! Christine was responsive, easy to communicate with and met us for check-in. The location of the apartment is great as it’s within easy walking distance of everything in town. Bishops Square is a lively area which we loved. If you feel like it’s too noisy, you can shut doors and windows and mute the sound. The apartment isn’t fancy but had everything we needed, including beach towels and beach umbrellas. Kitchen seemed well-stocked although we didn’t use it much. Be aware there are several flights of stairs and no elevator so probably not a good choice for people with mobility issues or a lot of luggage. Tavira is a charming little town!

The perfect, central Tavira getaway

Everything from the check in to check out was perfect and easy. Christine met us at the property for check in and spent time to show us around and chat to us about the nearby attractions and offer recommendations. Throughout our stay we received helpful messages regarding the high tide and taxi numbers. There were such thoughtful touches in the property from fresh fruit, bread, pastries and milk on the arrival day to toiletries and bath robes. We just couldn’t recommend this property and host enough. We were visiting Tavira to look at wedding venues and thanks to some great recommendations we found two of our four short list from Christine’s recommendations alone. We just can’t thank them enough. You can’t get more central for location, just brilliant and such a clean, beautiful apartment. Can’t wait for our next stay.
