Light, fabulous, penthouse set in a manicured garden for those who enjoy their comforts whilst having a peaceful holiday. Beautifully furnished in a contemporary style with full air conditioning/heating including bedrooms. A marble staircase leads to the huge private roof terrace equipped with table, chairs, sun loungers, settee, gas BBQ and wind sensor electric awning for shade on those hot days. Absolutely perfect for a leisurely breakfast, sunbathing/relaxing during the day or an evening drink watching the sunset. The complex is small, so the large pool area and childrens pool never feels crowded. Plenty of comfortable sun loungers around the pool area. Free, ample parking at the complex. Free wifi.
Travel cot/high chair available to hire.
Beach/pool towels not included. Meet and greet after 19.00 is an additional charge of 25 euros.
Final cleaning included. Additional cleaning on request chargeable.

Our 2nd visit

This was our 2nd visit to the apartment. We love this apartment for its location, space, brightness. We come to the area to cycle and it’s a great location for easy access to beautiful roads. Although the weather didn’t allow it this visit, the roof top terrace if great for sitting and for the bbq. Lower rating for check-in is due to delay on being met by the property management. Luckily the property gate was already open so we were able to enter the apartment. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Tavira. Gail is super to work with and very responsive. Thank you Gail for your hospitality.

Very nice property. Nothing fancy, but everything you need. Comfortable beds and adrquately equiped kitchen. Property manager was prompt to reply to any questions via WhatsApp.

Fantastic Stay

A lovely stay in a very nice apartment in a great location.

Apartment met all expectations and had everything we could need. Had a lovely view over the very quiet pool area and then onto Tavira itself. Tavira is a great place with lots of bars and restaurants with spectacular beaches within easy reach on a lovely boat trip on which we saw beautiful Flamingos on the salt flats. Town is easily accessed from the apartment by a short 10/15 minute walk along the river. However this does involve 108 steps which is great going down and manageable coming back. Surrounding coastal area is fabulous (Cacela Velha) and is certainly worth a visit. We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely return and recommend to friends.

Great location and bright apartment

This apartment is located an easy walk into the old town of Tavira and close to restaurants. We loved the brightness of the apartment and the outdoor spaces. It was an ideal location for getting out of town on our bikes (which was the main reason for our visit). Gail is a wonderful owner/host and very attentive. Any concerns are dealt with in a timely fashion. We would stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality Gail.

We had a great time in Tavira and loved the penthouse. It was very well equiped, comfortable, homely and modern. The roof terrace was superb and the electric awning meant sun to shade was easy. Summer week at Tavira

We had a short stay at the house but we absolutely love it! We were already excited from the moment we booked it and it was amazing to see everything matched and even surpassed our expectations! The place was clean, fully equipped, with amazing areas and exclusive roof top. The shared pool was great as well. It was never too crowded and the surrounding area was very quiet. Super close to the centre of Tavira, just a 10min walk. Can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful apartment in a gorgeous location

The accommodation was perfect, clean, tidy and had everything we could possibly need. The roof top terrace was the icing on the cake. The pool was never busy or over crowed great to relax and let the children play safely. Communication with the host has been easy. We were met at the apartment on arrival and given all the information we needed. Was just perfect Hoping to return in the future… thank you

Great location and deck

We had a fantastic time , rooftop deck was the best . The pool was very close for easy access and never busy . The proximity to the old town was perfect and driving around .and parking at the condo was very easy . The master suite could use a larger bed and a little update for the tap . A few little things like no garbage bags or laundry soap or dishwasher soap would help out . A good cleaning and window wash would be great . Overall we had a great time thank you Gail .

Great relaxing holiday

Fantastic 4 week stay at Gail's spacious apartment. Communication with Gail from start to finish was excellent and we had a few issues during our stay which were dealt with speedily. The rooftop was amazing with ample room for dining and sunbathing. There were plenty of kitchen utensils/crockery as we dined in quite a bit. There's also plenty of beach equipment which we made use of. The only downside is the location being quite high above sea level with having to climb 120 steps most days (although we were aware of this before we went).

Beautiful apartment

We have just returned from two weeks in Gail’s apartment. It is truly a home from home. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable and everything you need to make a wonderful holiday. The outside space is a real bonus with a large roof terrace with stunning views. The complex is very quiet with a large pool and plenty of parking. The gardens and sunbed decking are very well kept. It is very close to all the restaurants and shops in Tavira where you are spoilt for choice where to eat each night. Tavira and the surrounding area is very special. Thoroughly recommend.

Excellent penthouse apartment. Tavira great place.

This penthouse has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Clean and well finished. Gail the owner is a very helpful person and will sort out any queries you have. This was our fourth stay and will be going for a record next year. Only down side is the steps to the town if you have mobility problems. We have looked but have not seen better in Tavira. Fantastic penthouse appartment

We had a fantastic holiday at this delightful and well equiped apartment. The apartment was wonderfully light and airy, and spotlessly clean with good quality furnishings and a lovely comfy bed. The wifi connection is good and it also has great outdoor space on its huge private roof terrace that gets all day sun and offers a peaceful place to chill (the wifi works up there too). Communication with the owner was great, with prompt responses to our messages and updates as soon as they received payment making our last minute booking stress free. All in all a great holiday at a great place. We would have no hesitation in returning or recommending it to others as a lovely place to stay.

Fantastic Villa with rooftop terrace

This is a beautiful property which has a prime location within the complex, looking right over the pool and getting sun on the balcony from early in the morning, and on the roof terrace all day long. Air con, WiFi, massive pool, great kitchen, sun loungers, everything you need for a great holiday. If you love Tavira like we do, you won't find a better 2 bed property than this. The complex has many properties which owners do not let out, so there are never more than a handful of people around the pool, even in school holidays. It is a perfect location with the town centre only a 5-10 minute walk away. All comms with the local agent were excellent and as they look after a large number of properties on the complex, they are always available to come out or send someone if you have any issues at all. We will be booking up again for next year.

Fantastic

We really enjoyed staying in this beautiful apartment in Tavira from January 29 to February 13. Spacious apartment with two bedrooms and bathrooms, spacious living room with spacious kitchen with all amenities. There is a beautiful roof terrace with sun loungers and (gas) BBQ. We were kindly welcomed by the 'manager' Dulce and Joao who showed us around and had good tips for trips in the area. Furthermore, they were very helpful if something needed to be resolved, such as a defective coffee machine, great! We had very pleasant email exchanges with the owner, Gail, about the booking. The apartment is located on a hill and via a staircase you can reach the center of the beautiful and cozy town of Tavira with delicious restaurants in a 15-minute walk. We have been to Tavira many times, but always in a hotel. We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment and are going to book it for three weeks next year. We had an excellent holiday, partly due to our stay in this penthouse, Dulce, Joao and Gail, many thanks, Marije and Sjef (Netherlands)

Everything but the little things...

This place has it all - the view from the fabulous rooftop terrace equipped with loungers, BBQ and dining area, large clean pool, the comfortable living room, well equipped kitchen, beautiful big bathrooms and electronic blackout blinds. BUT, where is the Portuguese welcome we were expecting - bottle of wine, bread, cheese that our friends enjoyed at their place? We couldnt even find salt and pepper, no basic spices or condiments anywhere. This would have been REALLY nice, given that there is a large hill to navigate to the nearest store with no car. The master bedroom needs a queen or king bed since the room can certainly accomodate larger than the existing double. All the pillows need replacement with at least 2 per person in each bed room (flat and lumpy they all are). These little things would have elevated the place to where it claims to be price wise. Otherwise, a comfortable, lovely stay.

A wonderful holiday

We've just returned from a lovely holiday at this penthouse. The accommodation is clean and spacious and we had everything we needed. The roof terrace is a real bonus ... a wonderful private space to relax in. There is plenty of storage space, and the kitchen is well equipped, with a nice big fridge and plenty of tupperware, crockery etc. There was a parasol we could use on the beach, and a cooler box, ice block and sun chairs. The air conditioning was a blessing - it was very hot outside. Tavira is a beautiful town, with a lovely laid back atmosphere and great restaurants. We particularly enjoyed Aquasul, Brisa do Rio and Roma Italia. The beaches are amazing, especially Praia do Barril and Manta Rota. Ilha de Tavira was also lovely, but it was very busy on the ferries in August. The pool was also great, although some of the sunloungers got "bagged" early in the day! We hope to return one day, and we are missing the place already. Thank you Gail for an amazing holiday.

Perfect Getaway

Our family of four had a fantastic time at Gail's penthouse. The property had everything we needed, from beach towels and beach toys to gin glasses and excellent Wi-Fi! The kitchen was well stocked. The beds and pillows were really comfy. The bathrooms were a really good size. The roof terrace, sunbeds and canopy were a delight. The balcony off the living room was equally nice for a coffee on a morning and a glass of wine after we'd put the children to bed. The complex itself was wonderful and the huge pool was clean and rarely busy. There was no problem getting a sunbed. Families tended to come and go rather than staying there all day. We didn't hire a car and were still able to get around with ease. The transfer from the airport was only 40 Euros in a mini bus. The walk into Tavira did involve 120 steps, but our four year old had no problem with them. It is quite a gentle walk up and down. As soon as you reach the bottom of the steps you are greeted with the Gilao river and the walk into town really is very pleasant. Tavira itself is absolutely beautiful and a day out at the beach (via the ferry) is a must. Gail was lovely to deal with throughout the booking process; very friendly and helpful. We were greeted at the apartment by her property manager - again this was really easy. We had no problems during our stay. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and will definitely be returning.

Wonderful apartment

This was our first visit to Gail's apartment and we weren't disappointed. The apartment is fresh and modern and caters for all your needs. The complex is beautiful and very clean. The roof terrace is amazing and so are the views. Dine Alfresco some evenings using the gas BBQ and watch the sun go down. The swimming pool is the perfect size and is open from 9am – 10pm. There are sun loungers on the roof terrace and also by the pool, but these became scarce as more holidaymakers arrived. Tavira is simply beautiful. During the day the side streets are quiet and empty, but of an evening tables and chairs appear, as do singers and entertainment. There are so many hidden bars and restaurants, not only in the town, but also in the square and down towards the ferry. I can highly recommend Brisa do Rio and O’Castelo, but you will need to book a few days in advance. The beach is also beautiful. During peak season the ferry operates from 10am – midnight and runs every 30 minutes. Tickets are 2 euros return. We booked one-way tickets and took a Water-taxi (speed boat) back. The water-taxi charges 18 euros per boat/trip. The beach is very clean, sand golden and crystal water. You can hire a large thatched parasol with two sun loungers for 12 euros. This is done at the Xiri beach bar. The beach bar also has a large selection of drinks and snacks available at very reasonable prices. There are a number of bars and restaurants also available and they were very busy during lunch time. We didn’t hire a car and would walk into town of an evening and get a taxi back. Taxi was 6 euros. There are plenty of taxis of an evening, but scarce during the day. Tavira town has two very small supermarkets and are only good for water, wine and beer. There are two Ping Dulce supermarkets. One is situated at the far end of town (down past taxi rank and petrol station) and is a fifteen minute walk. We did struggle getting a taxi back at times. The other is situated on the other side of the main road (exit complex, walk over road bridge and next to round-a-bout) and is a five minute walk (if only I had known this earlier!). Ping Dulce will have everything you need and has a large and extensive fish and meat counter (ideal for the BBQ!). Wine is plentiful and very cheap. Visit Gail’s apartment and Tavira and you won’t be disappointed
