Een hele fijne week gehad in dit huis. Het enige minpuntje vonden wij wel dat het huis wel vrijstaand is, maar gelegen rondom andere vakantiehuizen en woonhuizen waar er toch wel meermaals 's avonds wat bedrijvigheid was qua rumoer. Ook de muziek van een nabij gelegen camping hoorden wij vaak tot in de tuin van ons huisje tijdens de avond. Nu dit was zeker niet extreem, en voor ons geen probleem, maar als je echt gaat voor de complete rust, dan moet je hier wel rekening mee houden. Voor de rest een hele fijne streek, heel veel mooie dingen gezien en gedaan. Zeer vriendelijke eigenares ook.

Dankzij aanwijzingen van eerdere gast op jullie site konden we het huisje gelijk vinden (L'homond uitrijden tot de vuilcontainers, daar weggetje rechts nemen en bordjes 'Bayonne' volgen). Mme Bayonne ontving ons hartelijk met tasje met streekproducten, er stonden verse bloemen. We kregen korte rondleiding en de benodigde info. Het is een charmant en ruim huis, met alles wat je nodig hebt. Goede wifi. In de tuin kun je zowel in de zon als schaduw zitten. Heerlijke ligstoelen. De omgeving is landelijk met vele kleine weggetjes. Met een kwartiertje ben je in het mooie Sarlat met meerdere grote supermarkten, markt op wo ochtend en zaterdag, veel restaurantjes. Wij genoten 's middags van een menu du jour, goed en heel betaalbaar en aten 's avonds bij ons huisje in de ondergaande zon stokbrood, kaasjes, pate, wijn enz. Er is in de omgeving heel veel te zien, mooie plaatsjes, kastelen, tuinen, grotten. Op de dag van vertrek was Mme Bayonne keurig op tijd aanwezig. Wij zijn van plan zeker nog eens terug te keren.

Huis was moeilijk te vinden, gastvrouw kon tot 17.30 aanwezig zijn ivm een andere afspraak, wij kwamen om 18.00 uur aan. Huis voldeed aan de verwachting, omgeving was mooi.

Ondanks een aanwijzing van een eerdere gast was het huis moeilijk te vinden, maa ...

Ondanks een aanwijzing van een eerdere gast was het huis moeilijk te vinden, maar na een sms-je kwam Mme Bayonne ons ophalen bij de containers. Het was een gastvrij ontvangst met een korte rondleiding door het huis en een welkomst cadeau. Erg aardig dus! Het huis was vrij schoon op het eerste gezicht, later vonden we nog een schone papieren luier onder een bed en troep achter een tafeltje van een ander bed en op de vloeren zaten vlekken, die ik er afgesopt heb. Het is verder een fijn huis met alles erop en eraan en met een tuin die zowel zon als schaduwplekken heeft. Helaas blaffen de buurt honden met grote regelmaat en het buurmeisje schreeuwt enorm tegen haar ouders, wat als je er op gaat letten zeer irritant kan zijn. Tot onze verbazing wordt de aangrenzende schuur gebruikt door de buren, waar ons niets van was verteld, dus we schrokken toen dat de eerste keer gebeurde. Het gaf een onvrij gevoel. Ook vreemd dat iedereen de schuur in kan, want de reserve sleutel van het huis hangt er ook, dus kan iedereen bij jouw spullen als je weg bent. De omgeving is zondermeer fantastisch! Het huis is een mooie uitvalbasis, je kan alle kanten op. We hebben veel gezien, zoals mooie oude stadjes, prachtige kastelen en bijzondere tuinen. Ook vinden wij de Dordogne een mooi stuk van Frankrijk met zijn prachtige uitzichten over de vallei en de rivier de Dordogne. Winkels en restaurants op 12 kilometer afstand in Sarlat en op 5 kilometer aftand in Carlux zit een supermarktje. Op de dag van vertrek hadden we afgesproken met Mme dat we om 8 uur weg wilden gaan en dat was geen probleem, maar er kwam niemand. Na een half uur en diverse sms-jes, waar niet op werd gereageerd, zijn wij dus vertrokken zonder persoonlijk afscheid te hebben genomen, dat was vervelend. De sleutel hebben wij verstopt en uiteraard met een sms laten weten van waar hij lag. Al met al is het huis toch een aanrader.
